It has an ideal location based at the end of a long beach where most of the dive shops are based. The bungalow we stayed in was nice and comfortable with a quiet aircon which was great! The main building served a very nice breakfast each morning which was much better than other places we have stayed. And they also have a water machine to refil your bottles for 10php per liter which was very nice and saved us using alot of plastic. The boat to or from the island either arrives or leaves from 2min walk above the hotel or depending on the weather from the front door of the accomodation.

Absolutely the staff they are so welcoming and friendly and they do everything to help you have a wonderfull stay! (We are working remotely and they even helped us install a desk in our room and starlink on the roof) The location is perfect you’re right at the beach. You can go snorkeling there with black reeftip sharks. In the street there are great restaurants. And the dive school they work together with is by far the cheapest one on the island (+ has very friendly guides and great gear) don’t hesitate to book with them!

It is a bit outdated but it absolutely has it’s charm and price quality is incredible

Stayed for 5 nights at Blue Corals and absolutely enjoyed the resort and spectacular room we got (#9) on the 2nd level corner room with an awesome, commanding panoramic view of the cove and private beach! Couldn't ask for anything more superb. Room has very cold AC, not that we needed for full blast. Terrace balcony overlooking the beautiful cove is huge and great for chilling, just need a couple of secured strong hooks to hang hammocks, and it would be perfect. Our receptionist "Jo-Lo-Mee"( sorry if I misspell her name) was very helpful and attentive, providing us of fins and life vests when asked for and with superb snorkeling just mere steps outside our room. She'll tell you stories of MI and history if you ask her. Breakfast included was also generous and fast, with decently large portions of tasty omelettes, bread and coffee every morning. Blue Corals sits on an awesome location on Bounty Beach because you can beach in the left of the resort and snorkeling in the protected cove on the right, chasing baby sharks! Yeah, I would come back and stay at Blue Corals. If given a choice, secure your room #9.

The protected cove where baby sharks are found is part of a private beach and resort. The environmental staff can be overly protected about swimming and snorkeling around cove and around 4pm every day at the hint of low tide, they would close off the area and virtually no baby sharks can be spotted outside of it and deep. So, snorkeling is just so-so. M.I. is great for scuba diving and if you come for snorkeling, be forewarn that it's just ok. Otherwise, chilling and relaxing at Blue Corals is awesome and very memorable.

Cleaning and changing sheets and towels every day. Also, sea towels are provided for the beach in front of it. The breakfast is good. They make your eggs as you wish. It was interesting that there was no jam and black tea.Two or three slices of fruit can be added to the breakfast. Internet is only available in the lobby and the restaurant. The speed is good. Good for the island. 15-20mbps. Hotel manager Jholome was very interested and helpful. I thank her for the nice comments she gave to all our questions. The hotel is one of the rare hotels that offers hot shower facilities. It is an important detail for me.

Simple but amazing resort! Communication was really easy and was able to change my dates and length of stay through the chat. Resort is nicely situated in the most populated area of Malapascua with its own house reef which my balcony had a good view of. Room had old but good airconditioning and good shower and 2 comfy beds. Room was very big and spacious. Laundry service was very quick and quite reasonable in price of 150 pesos a kilo. Everything you want to do on the island aka Diving is close by. Definitely go on a night dive for the mandarin fish mating ritual and ofcourse the early morning dives for the famous Thresher Sharks

Like all hotels and resorts the water from the shower is refined sea water so slightly saltier than normal water. Also food option in the resort are limited I think but have not made use of it

+ great location + super helpful staff, always made sure arrangements (e.g. transit to the island) was as straightforward for us as possible + went out of their way to make sure we had everything we needed (e.g. got someone to guide us to and from the port) + when you snorkel around the outside you can see baby sharks! + lazing on that beach was wonderful

- we would recommend upgrading to a room with air con. Just the fan was okay, but we personally should have invested in having air con (on us not the property)

Simple and inexpensive room located near the port upon arrival (5 min walk) and also close to central location on Bounty Beach where all the dive shops are located. Great for a few days of diving and a cheap place to live. There are other nicer rooms in other hotels but can be a few times more expensive.

Rooms are on the small side and limited space to put your stuff, air con is loud and no TV in the room (not that I need it) and the wifi signal is almost non existent (for the room I was in but should be fine in the main building).

Great location. The best except for the two highest end hotels on beach. To get to the best part of beach for swimming which is up the east side of beach you would need to walk along beach for 10 minutes but the trade off is that it has direct access to the protected area where you can snorkel with sharks. The girls working there were the most smiley staff ever and very very nice. Great showers with hot water and ice cold a/c Very close to pier and were ferries arrive so an easy trek with bags. Amazing views from many rooms. Also had a good breakfast. Pancakes with Nutella was a family favorite.

My complaints would be that the exterior is a little weathered, the beach is the dirtiest part of beach. Not with garbage but with sea grass and ocean debris that gathers in the still waters. Also the toilets are poorly designed so that there is no water and they are constantly dirty and don’t fully flush.

Staff was very nice and helpful, breakfast was good. Room spacious and big balcony with amazing sea view. Bed comfortable It was very quiet at night, the hotel bar was closed (there was a sign that it was open, but I doubt it has been open in quite a long time) and no noise of chickens or dogs. Was just a few steps away from the beach and some restaurants just a few meters away.

The comments I read that the toilets and the place itself could use some refurbishing are true, but for us all functional things worked perfectly, and the price quality was amazing. No need to pay more just to have something a bit nicer
