Thanks to the whole team at SLAM’S we had the best time in Malapascua! The resort and rooms are simple, clean and confortable. The pool side is awesome, and lovely to hang out at after a long day of diving/snorkeling. We did our advanced diving course with SLAM’S and enjoyed the experience. We felt super privileged to dive with thresher sharks and all the beautiful animals living around the island. What really made our experience 5⭐️ was the team! Everyone from Milky at reception, to JR our diving instructor, made us feel super welcome and helped us too many times to count (helping us to arrange transportation, scan documents, plan a birthday surprise… to name a few 😉) We were super sad to leave SLAM’S and are already looking forward to being back. We will miss everyone (and of course our best friend Pit-Pit, please give her a special kiss from us 🐕😘)

The property is very quiet and is a 3 minute walk to the ferry and various beaches. I really liked the pool but be aware that it's very deep. They have life jackets for kids to wear but even adults can't stand up in it (it's used for dive instruction). The rooms are cleaned daily, and the shower and toilet are in separate rooms. My room had a good hot water shower. You can pay via PayPal or bank transfer and will be contacted to pay the first night this way (it's legit). They don't accept credit cards currently. Cash is fine. I'd definitely recommend staying here.

It would be good if they provided pool / beach towels in the room since the bathroom towels clearly aren't to be used for this. I was a little disappointed to find out that there were NYE parties on the island which the staff didn't know about (I asked a few of them) so I went to bed well before midnight only to be woken by fireworks on the beach. Next year I recommend that they do some research to let guests know about where they can attend NYE events.

The pool, location, the breakfast were amazing, and the room was big enough and comfortable. I did not use their diving services.

So minor things that are not only applicable to this hotel but they are worth to know: - The Airco unit in the room was a little noisy. - Internet/wifi was pretty terrible. But I think this is a common problem in Malapascua so if you want to work from there, think it twice! Even 4G wasn't that great. - Having to pay a very low fee to refill water was not ideal. I guess they do it to make sure water is not wasted as it is very scarce in the island... but for the price of the hotel, I would expect they include this.

Very beautiful garden setting, very good and affordable food and drinks at the restaurant. Nice and helpful staff. Clean rooms that can accomodite the whole family. Big pool good for swimming and diving courses. If you like to scuba dive, they offer all you need for that in the same spot. Very close to the port, 2 min walk. Children got scuba certified there, they had very good and patienced instructor. Nice divemasters and managers too. Great value for money, everything just worked out smoothly!

Really necessary and didn’t blast the bed / face while sleeping (but very loud so bring earplugs). > Good in house food (if you order the local dishes, don’t order European;)), nice portions. Comfortable that you do not have to good look around and get a decent amount of fresh food during the day! > Hot water in shower - so happy. > Diving. Great service, good gear, nice guide/boat! Would definitely recommend.

What a beautiful stay!! The hotel space was humble but very comfortable. The staff made the stay truly special. If you are coming to dive, I could not recommend this place enough. Santiago, Alejandro, Dex, and all the kind employees on the boat made the dive trips so fun!! It felt like we were instantly part of the Slams family. The beds were comfortable and housekeeping came through to clean the room each day, which was nice given all the sand we tracked in. The hotel is very near to the pier so you can easily walk once arriving on the island. Many phenomenal restaurants are nearby (Angelina’s and Amihan were our favorites) and beautiful beaches as well! Cannot recommend enough :)

Pool area is great and the onsite restaurant is great for a poolside snack. The breakfast options cover most tastes. Our room was comfortable with daily cleaning as an option and a excellent aircon. The shower water pressure was good and it had hot water. Wifi was strong throughout the property.

Our room was located right above the dive shop area so early morning prep for the morning dive did interrupt a bit of our sleep. Otherwise great stay and value for money.

It was perfect for what my husband wanted, he was really happy to dive with the hotel and they provided such a professional and inclusive approach too as he explained there were a whole array of different diving abililities, they were adaptive and knowledgeable. I got to relax by the pool with my Kindle, which i was happy about. The hotel was helpful with information of where to go to gain thkngs (such as cash), and the food was so yummy as well as reasonably priced. (We recommend the bancoffee shake to drink too, delicious!) The beds could have been a little more comfortable for me. However, I always believe this is such an individual person's preference, not a hotels fault - I don't particularly like a hard matress, yet my husband did not mind. The rooms are very basic, but we enjoyed our stay here and would return.

Very well run resort with Ocean Passion Diving on site. Both offer a very calm and chilled service in a quiet location near the beaches, and just 5 minutes max walk from the ferry port. The staff are super friendly, helpful and genuinely want you to have a great time. The resort is immaculately clean, comfy beds in rooms with solid floors so never woken up at 0430 by the Thresher divers. Food here was excellent, get the inclusive breakfast. Diving is extremely well priced with very good Divemasters and equipment. No rushing, no pressure, and they have a decent sized deep pool for courses. Whatever we asked for was accommodated with a smile.

The dive center and dive master were the best,; Jay was amazing and took really good care of our small one. The diving sites were amazing, we saw sharks in almost all dives. Room was big and spacious, 2 big beds so we slept very comfortable. Breakfast was really good and the bread I believe was home made, I was missing and extra slice of bread everyone was very nice and polite
