Laguno was a pleasant surprise, well located, across from Jollibee and the Moalbal open-air cinema, a pleasant, organized, clean place with very dedicated staff who are willing to help, especially with tourist questions. I stayed for 9 days in total and I recommend it to all my friends who are going to Moalboal.

The only thing that bothered me was that the toilet paper was never replenished properly. Every time I went to the bathroom I had to get it from the front desk. Ideally, a roll should be left with each guest to avoid this type of situation. Another thing is that the bathroom would always get wet after guests took a shower. Another tip is to put a squeegee to wipe away the water. This would help keep the bathroom dry after showering. This is very common in Brazil.

Without a doubt the staff of the hostel was the best that I’ve dealt with during my trip around south-east Asia. One of the managers is called Maria and she will tell you everything you need to know regarding activities and places to see always with her beautiful smile, as well as a welcoming and friendly attitude. So if you need any help she is right person. The place is very clean, the beds are comfortable and there is hot water in the shower. Despite not being next to the beaches and around the main restaurants and other hostels, the hostel has everything nearby! You’ll find bakeries, a pharmacy, a supermarket (7/11), and a few places to eat too! Also, as far as the location is concerned, you couldn’t be more close to the bus stop, the buses from and to Cebu stop right next to the hostel as well as other important routes. Finally, if you rent a scooter at the hostel it would take less than ten minutes to be in the place to watch the sardines.

Staff, hospitality and value are second to none. Not exaggerating when I say every other guest in my six dorm room were long term guests all staying 3+ weeks with some here for their fifth stay. Location is at the heart of town, across the street from the bus stop. Lots of eateries nearby, walkable to the large supermarket, and convenient for transport. All guests were invited to partake in the staff and family Christmas dinner, which was delicious.

If you only want to see the sardines and sit on white beach there are places closer to stay, but you'll miss the quiet charm of the town. And you'll be far from the bus station, which you'll regret because your entire party will bake under the hot sun waiting for the chronically late buses to show. This accommodation is close enough that you can take turns waiting while the other is inside the accommodation.

The lady who runs the hostel (I think her name is Maria) was so nice and gave me lots of helpful information and tips. The room was clean and had air conditioning. A towel was provided. There are lockers available. Free drinking water and instant coffee. You can use the kitchen. There is lots cheap food nearby, including several bakeries, a Jollibee, street food, etc. The hostel is located right across the street from the bus stop (buses going to Cebu City or south towards Inambakan Falls and Bato). Wifi worked well. Calm and friendly atmosphere, other guests were pleasant. They cleaned the bathroom regularly.

It's located far from the beaches and the main tourist area (about a 50 minute walk to the tourist area where you can snorkel, etc). No privacy curtains on the beds, although the dorm was small so it didn't feel like much of an issue. The air conditioning was so cold and it blew directly on my bed (top bunk) so I got sick after staying here (I tried turning it down but a guy in my dorm would always set it to the coldest setting).

It’s in the center of the town, miss Maria arranged everything for our group and she did it great , a van pick up us in cebu airport thanks to our driver Victor(hope the name I remember right âœŒđŸ»đŸ˜‚) we arrived late at the hostel miss Maria did arrange sardines run and other stuff for our first day instead of Oslob ( that is my first plan) im glad she changed it, because of that we enjoy more the oslob and canyoneering the second day. Shout out also to father and son who guide us in sardines run they are very gentle and good and great photo&videographer đŸ‘đŸŒ. Also to our guide in our canyoneering from Jimmy’s travels and tour at badian-alegria canyoneering they are very caring and good we highly recommend them, tour guide in this place is an asset to the place compare to what we got in elnido good job guysđŸ‘đŸŒ( no hate just base on our experience) Laguro is basic place but it’s satisfy us miss maria is on it .

The hostel is in a really good location, with the public bus dropping you off opposite. The rooms were a decent size, bathroom was clean. The beds were comfortable too. The lady at reception - Maria - was really lovely and helpful with all the questions we had. You can book tours through the reception too and there’s free refillable water.

I thought the shower could’ve benefitted from a few hooks to hang everything up, and personally I would have liked a curtain on the bed for privacy, but that’s personal preference. There was quite a lot of ants crawling in and around my bed, and was bitten a few times by them :( but it is the Philippines so ants are to be expected.

We went into the new guesthouse for couples. Lovely big room. Very clean. Comfy bed and awesome shower. Nice garden and seating. Air con was quiet. Really enjoyed being here. The owners are so helpful, chatty and caring. We walked round to the hostel to use the fridge and have breakfast and chats. Good places nearby for food a fraction of the cost of beachside Moalboal. We walked or habel-habel into the main bar strip but preferred staying here close to markets and people!

The hostel is quite good, the staff are extremely amazing ( a family running the hostel ) They have a kitchen of you are sick of eating outside you can just cook. Free water for refill & free coffee The location is a bot far from the swimming area but everything you need is located in the area of the hostel. You can rent a bike 10-15 min drive by bike to the beaches. Overall love it

Tbh my mattress was not comfortable at all, but I did not complain :) idk if it was mine or also the rest.
