There is customer service and then there is Philipino customer service which is on a whole other level. The staff at Ohana treated my family soo wonderfully, I cannot reccomend this place highly enough. We are a family with young kids who love exploring countries and places. Ohana is located minutes from the airport in a quiet neighbourhood. The hotel arranged pick up which was on time. The room and bathroom are generously sized with a powerful air condition. They offer tours and meals. We like to have a flexible itinerary especially with kids so we did not do set group tours rather we opted for a driver that would tailor an itinerary to our likeness and it could be private and go at our pace. Alona beach is about 7 minutes away and Ohana have a shuttle that takes you to and from. Alona is a very busy and vibesy area with loads of restaurants, supermarkets and atms etc. There is a an atm located just at the end of the road from Ohana. I have to admit Alona never interested me, instead I found Ohana an excellent base for really exploring the island. We were there 3 days. We visited twin falls and dam agan falls the first day. Beautiful drive in lush countryside. Both falls easily accessible with young children and 2 guides who played with them. 2nd day we visited Anda, Candijay and the Can Unmantad waterfalls and rice terraces. Although about 2 to 3 hours driving, it was extremely scenic and we stopped off at little bakeries and coffee shops along the way. Last day we did the famous chocolate hills on atv, visited the tarsiers, loboc small boat tour. Every single activity loved by the kids. They could not wait to return to Ohana to get in the pool though. We only had dinner one day at Ohana as every day the kids wanted Jolibees which was in Alona main town. The food at Ohana was extremely good, hot fresh and very tasty. Breakfast was not included as part of the room booking but again it was available if you wanted to purchase.

We only stayed for 1 night before a flight to Manila and wished we could have stayed longer! Situated off the main road, this hotel is so tranquil and relaxing. The pool is so clean and big. Room was incredibly clean and has the best working shower we’ve had in the Philippines! Water pressure and hot water was perfect. There’s only 11 rooms so the resort felt really quiet and cosy which we loved. Food in restaurant was great and reasonably priced. Wi-Fi was great. The staff were so lovely and accommodating. We had the pleasure of meeting the owner Daniel who was so friendly and we enjoyed chatting to him. Thanks so much for having us! Overall a fantastic hotel to situate yourself when visiting Bohol.

Very nice hotel in a calm neighbourhood, but just a 5 minute ride with the shuttle to Alona Beach. Also walkable in about 20 to 25 minutes. Very clean and comfortable room, nice big pool. Extremely friendly, welcoming and helpful staff. Good and freshly made food in the restaurant (especially the Cordon Bleu ;-)). Definitely a recommendation! I absolutely enjoyed my stay!

The pool was incredible. So clean and a great size. The food at the hotel was also reasonably priced and delicious. We are here a lot- it was better priced than a lot of the options in Alona Beach. The free shuttle to the beach was also great as the resort is a little out of town. The staff were great. They arranged transportation whenever we needed it. The hotel was super clean and we just felt so relaxed staying here.

Not a negative but just good to know. When paying your room tab at the end of your stay the hotel doesn’t take card. Not a problem as there is a cash point at the end of the road (3 min walk), but we only discovered this upon check out and had to rush.

Ohana resort looks great! The room was big and the queen beds were very comfortable. The toilet is also big and even had two sinks. They had warm water for when you don’t want to shower with cold water. The pool was also very nice and the water was warm when we went swimming during the evening. But the best part about the resort was their staff! They were very welcoming, approachable, and kind. Miss Kim and Karen took care of us during our stay and their shuttle drivers were also very easy to contact when you need them to fetch you from Alona Beach. We also had some meals in the resort and those, too, were great!

I liked the resort but I feel like the sinks were too high up. This is probably just a personal preference as I’m petite.

Everything. It’s a resort with 10/12 rooms however it always felt personal! Everything is amazing - we really didn’t expect this. The food is fresh and cooked to order! Which means u may have to wait a little but I don’t long as we had the time ! The staff are super ! Truly - we had an amazing time as they made it all worthwhile! The pool is super well maintained. The rooms are big but big bathrooms and showers are just the biggest I have ever seen ! The free shuttle service to Alina beach felt as if we had rented a car of our own for 12!

This place is truly lovely. Such a good price for the service you get. The check in was smooth with welcoming and friendly staff who are there all day to help with any questions. Staff can arrange tours, hiring a motorbike, airport/port transfers, daily room service offered if you want it. Pool got cleaned regularly in the morning while we stayed. Also cheap laundry service can be arranged at 1kg for 60p While this is around 7 minute drive from the main centre. A free shuttle services is offered all day up until 21:45, so the distance wasn’t a worry. Free shuttle to local airport is an option too. Safe place to leave your bike at night which is shaded which is good for the hot days. The pool is dreamy, with a small hot tub area and a decent amount of loungers. You can ask for pool towels which is handy. The rooms were spacious, they have mini fridges which were so good to store drinks in. Lots of plugs and the bathroom was spacious. The room was modern vibe with all having a pool view. A/C was really good in the rooms. The road to the accommodation is on an off road behind a restaurant and local housing which is bumpy, so can be difficult to find for the first time, but google maps will take you there easily. After that it is easy to find. Night security which makes you feel very safe. On our first night the security guard had not met us yet, so as soon as he saw us park our bike. He came over to check us, we showed our key. This made me feel very safe that he is aware of who is coming to the property. Also the nights since he has always welcomed us back and been a friendly face. The breakfast prices are between 200-300p really taste and good quality. The range of food is good, but as mentioned some vegetarian, but I think more options for lunch/dinner would be good. Good variety of drinks. While you are here they build a tab so you don’t have to worry about having your purse around the pool etc.

Only reason I did not give this place a 10, was the shower is low pressure and the shower head could be better as it hits off the wall due to poor angle, an overhead shower and an on the wall shower would be much better. Also more vegetarian options on the menu for lunch/dinner. Did not offer much flexibility. While it is super hot here, I’d prefer a slightly thicker duvet instead of just a sheet as just doesn’t feel cosy. A thin duvet would be more ideal.

Despite the hiccups with our reservation finishing off our bohol trip with Ohana Panglao was well worth it! The staff and owner Daniel exceeded our expectations by making our stay as comfortable as possible. The rooms are decent size for couples as well as their family rooms. Resort, bathroom and rooms were very clean!! Location to Alona Beach and South Palms were great - providing shuttle service at a very minimal fee made it convenient for their guests. Look forward to coming back and staying with Ohana Panglao Resort and will def recommend to our families and friends!

Beautiful and clean rooms and the pool was amazing. The kitchen is available from early morning to evening and serves a great and affordable breakfast. The aircon was great and very silent. Staff were amazing and helpful organising an early departure for us.

We knew that the location was a bit away from town, but it didn’t bother us as there were a shuttle available and we had a rented scooter for most of our stay. Though be sure to know about the location in advance. Even though the pool was amazing it would be great to be cleaned a bit from insects from the night a bit more often by a net. It didn’t bother me, but I could understand if some would notice.
