This is a lovely hotel, which is steeped in history, originally built as Prussian military barracks in1868. We enjoyed breakfast, trying different foods to what we would normally eat, a toaster would have been a bonus, and perhaps the choice of porridge, nice spacious warm room, comfy beds, overlooking courtyard, nice & quiet (104), great shower. The location was great, a short pleasant walk into a beautiful City, where you could spend days there, and still find something you have not seen, the Ferris wheel was well worth going on, and value for money £7.50. The transport network was great, and most locals spoke English if you need help. We found in general that the locals were very friendly, and welcoming. There are literally hundreds of restaurants to choose from, we tried the locals cafe, Stolowka Gdanska, which is near the hotel, turn left out of the hotel, then right on t junction, past the church on the left, where you get 2 courses for the equavalent of £5.00, the menu was in Polish, however the girl helped us, it was a great experience, and food was very homemade & tasty. The hotel organised the taxis both ways, to & from the airport, slightly different prices, going there 110 zloty (£21), return, 90zloty (£17.50). (fixed price).
A toaster for breakfast, and choice of porridge. The restaurant to be more flexible for late arrivals, as kitchen closes at 9pm, we had time for main meal, but were out of time for a desert.

I arrived late at night and the hotel is back off the street and beyond a gate house. It took me a little while in the dark to work out where the entrance was. My room was a single and a little basic but I guess that was what I paid for. The breakfast was good and plenty of choice although catering more for Polish tastes, which was understandable. It's a short walk from the Dom Musyka to the Old Town, but I picked this location to suit some appointments that I had within walking distance of this location.
I had no complaints. I got what I paid for. I would probably stay here again if circumstances allowed.

Great location, close to Gdansk old town. The staff were helpful and friendly. Located in an historic building, the bar and restaurant were an asset. There are good public transport links including a tram stop within walking distance which takes you directly to the railway station. Lots of shops and restaurants in the immediate vicinity.
The coffee/tea provided in the bedroom was probably the worse we have ever had. Awful. The breakfast was generally OK but a variety of dried fruits to accompany the muesli would have been very welcome!

I enjoyed a city break there and I found that it was perfectly situated to public transport and the old town was just a few minutes away. The reception staff were kind and professional, I needed an extra duvet and I got it no problem. Bed was comfy, sheets smelled clean and fresh, room was clean, warm enough, bathroom was clean, hot shower worked perfectly well, good pressure. I liked the tea/coffee making facilities in the room and a bottle of still water in the room every day was much appreciated. Breakfast was very good and a bit of variety every day, nice omelette from the omelette station, fresh veggies (yaaaaayy!!), Polish food as well as some other stuff, I appreciated the hot food every morning. They even took care of my dietary requirements and brought me vegan yoghurt (I needed lactose free), which I appreciated. Filter coffee and a selection of teas made it a complete experience.
Not a major thing, but I am a light sleeper and the fridge in the room would start the noise every 15min or so...so I had to unplug it :)) But I still had to use earplugs because of the different birds that start singing early in the morning hahaha Also, I would preferred to have ceramic cups in the room instead of paper cups (as they release microplastic).

A delightful location within the Academy of Music complex, so quiet and peaceful but only 10 mins walk to the waterfront. The decor in the rooms is quite old fashioned so this won’t suit those looking for cool shots for social media, but the rooms are spacious and have everything you need including a fridge. The reception staff are really great - we had a problem which they solved quickly and efficiently. There’s a great choice at the buffet breakfast and omelettes are cooked to order. I’d definitely stay here again.

An extremely nice place for the money paid. It is located very close to the city center. Rooms might look old-fashioned, but, the most importantly, rooms are very clean. Breakfast is simple, but nice and worth its price.
I was a little unlucky and some guests were noisy at night. Somebody was aggressively knocking to some door close to mine around 1 am, and it was terrifying. But it looks like security had come in 5 minutes and fixed the problem.

Good value for money, decent breakfast, neat and clean. The location of the hotel is quite close to the old town and not too far from the airport via taxi and the tram station. Liked the staff, very friendly and hospitable.
The hotel is a bit old school, which may a pro, depending on what you like. E.g. using physical keys instead of the key card. The breakfast buffet was good, but lacked vegetarian options. There were eggs to order in the buffet but this was not informed to us and the section was not easily recognizable.

The hotel was 5 minutes walk from all the bars and restaurants, ideal location. It had a lift, bar and restaurant, the breakfast was buffet style hot and cold and every morning there was something different. The omelette station was fabulous. There was no toaster. Our room was in the eaves so had velux windows. Plenty of light and we also had a fridge, kettle, tea and coffee but no milk. The bed was very big and comfy. There are numerous shops near the hotel though. Would recommend this hotel due to location to old town
Nothing to dislike

We were warned in advance that there might be some noise as the roof was being renewed, but this didn't bother us. Nor did the main road next to the hotel, which was inaudible during our stay. A benefit was that a tram stop was very close. Most of the main sights of this exceptional city were within very easy walking distance. Room was comfy, shower good. Staff were very helpful and very pleasant. Breakfast was very good. It was nice to be in a building occupied in another wing by the Academy of Music. Extremely good value and strongly recommended.
Nothing at this price.
