The breakfast was amazing. The room very nice. Only problem the room was facing the square where people congrated until the early hrs.

The hotel was very clean and close to everything. Beautiful sights, souvenir shops and tasty restaurants were all in walking distance. I loved the spacious bathroom. The breakfast was fresh and delicious. The staff were kind, friendly and hard working. They gave us recommendations to nearby shopping and to a very tasty restaurant. They also remembered we had a wedding to attend from my messages which I thought was nice and provided me with what I needed to carefully iron our fancy clothes since my steamer was not compatible for use in Europe.

From the moment we arrived, we felt at home. The staff were so helpful, supportive and friendly - nothing was too much trouble. The facilities were lovely, spotless, comfortable. Rooms had everything we needed. Beds comfortable. Breakfast and service was excellent. The location of the hotel was perfect - setting in a lovely square, so close to restaurants, shops, cafes, historic buildings, the railway station and bus stops. I just couldn't fault Hotel Sofia - everything was great.

Lovely boutique hotel! Clean, comfortable, quiet room. Good bathroom and shower. Friendly, helpful staff. Wonderful breakfast! Convenient location to explore Braga, very close to tourist areas with lots to nearby sights and excellent places to eat nearby. Limited onsite parking (which they had told us about), but staff provided detailed directions to nearby underground parking which was safe, secure, and pretty convenient, at a very reasonable daily rate, Would stay here again!

A very comfortable hotel rennovated from a beautiful old house at just perfect location in Braga old town. Walking distance to all sightseeing spots. The room is very nice and clean. Staff are super helpful and warm. Good breakfast with many choices. We highly appreciate their kindness to our dogs, even dog food and water bowls are provided! We left dogs water bottle in the room. They sent us an email informing this negligence. For sure when we revisit Braga we will stay here again and recommend to our friends.

The location is just perfect. It is so good to have the opportunity to go around Braga in the morning with no tourists. The breakfast was also one of the best during our 2-week trip. The room was quite nice as well, the view to the square outside was very good. Secured wifi also a good thing. And the personnel at the reception was very helpful.

The parking is very limited, and I would say zero options to find free parking on the street. Although the hotel can help to negotiate a better price for the parking in one of the parking plazas, you still need to add 10 euros per 12 hours on top. The number of power sockets also was a bit limited.

I stayed here in 2022 and enjoyed it. The location is very convenient. This hotel is good value for the money. I had a spacious room with two beds even though I was only one. The bed was comfortable. The bathroom was spacious and recently renovated. There is a modern shower stall. The controls were somewhat inconveniently located. It is amazing that designers can’t come up with better simpler and easier to use showerheads and shower controls. Warning: The floor of the shower stall is very slippery. There is a small bit of mat on the floor and I suggest you use it. There is a typical buffet breakfast to get you started.

We were surprised at how good the hotel and our stay were. Everything looked new, comfortable (even had 2 quality pillows each,) and spotlessly clean to an extreme, it was a delight to come back to our room every day. The room had a nice view, and it was very quiet, with no noise from outside even though we were in the heart of the historical center, another great bonus: Excellent location, within a few meters of walking distance to most stuff. The staff was extremely friendly, the room cleaning was so fast that it surprised us. The breakfast was really good with everything I could wish for, fresh and consistent every day. We ended up extending our stay because it was so nice to stay there and enjoy the city. It was a superb stay! 5 nights!

We liked everything passionately and we have no real complaints. If we were really forced to be picky, it would be the limited number of free parking, but we always managed quite well anyway.

The reception staff were very helpful when we asked them questions. When we needed laundry service, the staff offered various helpful options. After we feedback that we felt cold in the room, they immediately arranged an additional portable heater in our room to make us warm and comfortable. Hot water was consistently hot so showers were enjoyable. Breakfast was good and the kitchen and cleaning staff were polite and friendly when we met them. The location was great as it was close to food, attractions and shopping. Overall, we enjoyed our stay in this hotel.

Location is fantastic, right in the heart of Braga's old city. Room was spacious and clean. Free breakfast was pretty good. Nice roomy bathroom. Bed was comfortable.

Each floor can be in heat or AC mode, but individual rooms can't switch between them. We arrived just as temperatures were dropping and we wanted some heat, but our floor was still set for AC; however, I reported this to the front desk, and someone promptly brought up a space heater that was more than adequate to make the room warm enough. The elderly lady who owns the hotel hangs around the lobby and dining room a lot and wears an unfriendly countenance most of the time. The front desk staff couldn't have been more friendly and helpful, but having this owner hovering about seems to alter the overall mood of the common areas.
