Location is perfect for walking up into town, just 100 metres or so and you are in. Although there is no garage parking we could park our motorcycle on the broad pavement right outside the front door where it was secure and not causing an obstruction - there is plenty of parking on areas around but generally on compacted sand. All the staff were friendly, welcoming and helpful, the breakfast & evening buffets were generous and good value, although a bit of s ‘bun fight’ with the coach party of old folks that were in the hotel during our stay. The pool and outside bar areas were very pleasant, the room itself was large with a big bed and small outside balcony. Very good value, no taking liberties with the pricing of extras, drinks, snacks etc. Overall we felt very comfortable and at ease here and wouldn’t hesitate to return if we were in the vicinity.

It was quite noisy at times - builders work going on nearby and other guests - in particular the coach parties were very loud in the restaurant, the sheet on the bed was too small, barely the width of the bed, so it was impossible to stay under it, en suite has frosted glass rather than a dividing wall so the lack of privacy might be an issue for some - but that’s just nitpicking.

I liked the atmosphere, de size of the bedroom, good price and also a nice breakfast.

Maybe a bit more variation at the breakfast.

The hotel is 500 metres away from the train station, which is extremely convenient when you have an early morning train to catch. It’s also close enough to reach the city centre by foot. I had a very spacious and pretty room for myself. The room was clean and the staff at reception were helpful and friendly. What I liked the most was that there was a VERY generous dinner buffet spread for just €13.90. Very good deal for a traveller who wants to retire early for an early flight/train the following morning.

Perhaps the best part of this hotel was the staff. They were so friendly, helpful and fun. My kids really enjoyed playing in the pool and using the pool table. My wife and I enjoyed the sangria and other drinks they had. The room was comfortable and had everything we needed. The location was also very good. We were a short walk from of the monuments in Evora. The staff gave us recommendations of restaurants for dinner and we really had a excellent time. The breakfast had a nice spread.

Perhaps some fresh paint and a few upgrades will make the hotel look a bit better. However, the price was extremely good for what we got.

You're just outside the city walls and walking is easy to/from the bus terminal as well as downtown. Breakfast is nice and dinner buffet is offered at a good price. We had our own patio overlooking the pool, which is really attractive. Room was fine.

Room was a long walk from reception. Things are rough around the edges but everything worked and the bstaff helped when we had issues. Wifi signal was weak in our room.

The rooms have been renovated in the past and are kept clean and in excellent condition. good size balcony. friendly staff and the entire hotel is kept really clean. easy parking and close to the historic center

had to unplug the fridge at night because it made noise. the outside of the hotel could use a new coat of paint and some of the tiles in the hall some fresh grouting’s

The Dom Fernando was a modern hotel, well-located within easy reach of the historic centre and and the railway station. My room clean, reasonably well-equipped and quite large. There was a good buffet breakfast. The cost was very reasonable, much less than any of the alternative options in the historic centre.

The exterior could do with redecorating and doesn't reflect the standard of the interior.

We went during winter and felt that some common areas (not the restaurant, just some corridors) were a little chilly (nothing too much, really).

As we travel with a car, parking was important for us: they have a huge gravel parking lot across the hotel which was very convenient. It is more or less crossing the road and a parking lot and you are at the wall of the city which we found was very convenient. As it was still outside it is also easy to come and go by car. The staff was very friendly and helpful. What we liked was that the rooms facing the pool have a little patio with furniture - for sitting outside, being close to the pool and relax.

the hotel was noisy. If someone walks by your door or speaks loudly you can hear it.

Very clean. Nice and helpful staff. Breakfast was great! Excellent location. Quiet rooms despite traffic nearby. The room was big! Shower was nice.

The bed pillows were very squishy. I needed to use all of the bed pillows plus a chair pillow to find a good way to sleep and support my neck.
