Staff, property, location everything was great.

The Uber driver dropped us off at the furhhest gate, with only cobblestonned pathway, which was very difficult to get our suitcases up to the top. Can I suggest the property provide a gate number or name to give to the uber driver for drop off. Annabella at reception showed us the pathway and gate on the map which was easy enough to take our luggage down. Thank you.

Charming! The village of Obidos is lovely to experience.

No parking inside the village. There is free parking just outside the walls, then a 5-10 min walk up & down cobblestone streets to hotel. Hotel has little stairways up & down to rooms. We left our roller suitcase in the car and took our overnight luggage in backpack & shoulder bag to hotel.

A beautiful old house filled with beautiful things right in the centre of Obidos. A joy to stay in. The rooms were spacious and everything provided. Lovely breakfast in an even lovelier breakfast room. And welcoming, couldn’t-do-enough for you staff. SO glad we stayed here. A highlight of our trip.

Nothing. It was perfect. The location in this medieval village made parking and hiking in with luggage a little difficult, but we expected that and it wasn’t as hard as anticipated.

The house was a very cool old place that had been extensively added on to. It had a very nice private patio that we were not able to use due to rain. The location was close to the castle and restaurants. It was across town from the drop-off point for busses, so it was a fairly long baggage drag. Breakfast was very good. Breakfast tables had tall borders that were easy to hit with your legs/knees, so every morning 1 or more people slopped coffee all over the table.

Great location in Obidos. Staff/owners were extremely kind and helpful with restaurant recommendations and sights. We enjoyed a surprise Ginja in our room after returning from sightseeing. Excellent breakfast and opportunity to chat with other guests. Our room was big and the bed was comfortable. The location was hard to beat, basically at the top of the main street and close to restaurants. The house itself is superbly decorated with a wide variety of rooms available for guests including a billiards room.

Inside walled city. Charming property, interesting rooms. Good coffee, okay breakfast. Staff had good English and were very friendly and helpful.

Despite being told they had parking received message day of arrival parking not available and to park in public lot. Parked overnight in paid parking lot by main gate. Car broken into and luggage stolen. Not unique problem to this property, but be warned.

We had a very pleasant stay at this hotel. The location was perfect, allowing easy access to all the places we wanted to visit. The room was very clean and well-maintained, which made our stay comfortable. The staff were incredibly helpful and friendly, always ready to assist with any inquiries or requests we had.

The bathroom was small and a bit outdated, which was a minor drawback. The breakfast was okay, though there could be some room for improvement in terms of variety and options available

The accommodation is located inside of Obidos walls which make very easy to visit the village, as well as hand to have any shadow breaks during the summer time. Cleaning, staff, location - everything very good! Although the property has no AC since the structure is made out of stones is quite decent the temperature even on hot days.

Isn't really a negative comment, but the breakfast is very simple - which is normal for the Portuguese culture. In addition, I was expecting a better view for the room since is located in the center and it is possible to see the wall of Obidos from the hotel (maybe I was unlucky and just had a street view). Lastly, I do think price is a bit salty but taking into consideration the service and all the other factors is a alright price.

A magical place with the castle walls above and views of the walled terrace and charming streets from within. Like going back in time and staying in a authentic Portuguese home. Charm is the key word, we loved it! Breakfast room also delightful and abundant coffee( my main criteria). Absolutely nothing like a chain hotel and yet clean and comfortable. One of the highlights of our trip! When the people coming for the day leave, the village is a quiet wonderland.

This place is special. With origins 500 years old it was purchased by the current owners great grandmother (it was then two different homes) and united as one casa. It was later renovated by the current owners’ parents some 30 years ago. While it is large with many salons, there are only 8 bedrooms, so it is very quiet & peaceful. Beautiful old furniture & wall decorations from Portugal. It is a special destination in itself. If you want the latest shiny modern hotel don’t come here. But if you want a genuine & welcoming Portuguese experience & come here. Breakfast was good too!
