The hotel was nice and the staff were extremely friendly and helpful. The room ticked all the boxes with all the facilities you would expect. The room was cleaned regularly and even the cleaning staff were very friendly.

The hotel was a little walk away form the centre, after walking around Porto and up the hill, you still needed an extra 10 minutes to get back to the hotel, not a big deal, but if you have mobility issues you need to be aware.

My husband had his passport stolen just as we arrived in Porto. The staff at Lusitana hotel were all wonderfully kind and helpful. The room was always spotless and comfortable , the location was good. The caring friendly attitude of all the staff is what makes this hotel so special.

Very nice 2x night stay. Twin room on top floor was of good size with very clean ensuite. All advertised room extras were as stated. Hotel has a nice little garden/patio with a covered seating area. Cafes restaurants nearby and a 10min walk to the start of the old city. 20mins to riverside. Staff were very helpful and pleasant to talk with. Early drop off of baggage before checkin time was appreciated.

The owners helped with carrying our luggage to our room, which was very helpful! We were given a map of Porto and recommendations. The room was very spacious and so was the bathroom. We loved that there was a fridge and tea/coffee facilities. We had a view of the garden which was nice. We loved our stay here.

The hotel was incredibly clean (bathroom, bedroom, and community areas). The staff was very welcoming and friendly. They were also very helpful with tips and special requests. The bed was very comfortable. The location is very central. You can walk to most of the city highlights within 15-20 minutes.

The isolation of the walls in between bedrooms isn't great. You can listen to minimal sounds of the adjacent bedrooms/toilets.

First of all, we arrived to the hotel around 11pm and we were tired. The receptionist ,though he doesn't speak English, tried his biggest effort to understand and help us. The point where he actually, put aside meeting with the expectations, exceeded our expectations was carrying our luggages to the room. I totally suggest this lovely and nice hotel to the travelers of Porto.

I think it is the best hotel when having a look at its price. So I can't write anything for this part.

Location was great. Walking distance to all the attractions and good restaurants close by yet away from the noise. Staff were very friendly and helpful with maps and orientation tips. Everything was super clean. Very good value

If you have mobility limitations , the lack of elevator could be a concern. Staff are very helpful about helping with getting bags up and down the stairs

The hotel had a special charm, I really enjoyed its style and one could really see the attention they put in every little detail of it. All in all it was a great experience with a great price/quality ration.

While I do not struggle to see the reasons behind this, having to ring a bell in order to be let inside by a staff member everytime one gets back to the hotel feels very dormitory-like. As an adult, it felt borderline humiliating.

Quiet location but easy enough to walk to all attractions within the city. Friendly staff, helpful, understanding & polite. Spotlessly clean & tidy. I had a room at the back of the hotel which had a "balcony" overlooking a well kept attractive garden with patio seating.

You have to buzz the door to gain entrance every time you enter the hotel. I felt a little awkward doing this as I thought I might be becoming a nuisance to the staff who had to let me in! Maybe a kettle would be a useful addition to the room. Though having said that, you're never more than about 20 seconds away from a pavement cafe in Porto to get your coffee fix!

I arrived two hours before check in dripping wet. The rain in Porto was extraordinary--and unusual for this time of year I was told. The front desk staff checked me in and one of them took my bag to the room. I so appreciated that kindness as I was soaked. A hot shower revived me.

An elevator would have been nice, but it's an older building and really the steps aren't that difficult.
