Everything. The room was spacious, the bed was comfortable, breakfast was delicious. The staff was pleasant and the loctation was very good.

The hotel lives up to its 5 star rating. The staff is very friendly and professional, the hotel is gorgeous and restaurants terrific. We loved the location in a beautiful part of Porto's historic center. Our stay was a wonderful experience and I would love to visit the hotel again. In all my travels to over 40 countries, I have rarely encountered such a fine hotel.

Great location and friendly staff. I wish to mention in particular the concierge Mr. Serafim Cerqueira who showed great professionalism. We were pleased wtih his hospitality and warmth, typical of the people in the region I suppose.

Breakfast is not good at all, very few items and everything else has to be ordered a la carte.

The hotel looks amazing even from the outside, situated in a high-end area of the city, Nice, spacious and luxurious lobby and mezzanine for breakfast and snacks, great restaurants (we had lunch at Yakuza). The room was amazing: comfortable bed, nice bathroom with his and hers sink, bathtub and shower. Room service offers tasty lunch/ dinner options (fish/ meat). Nice a la carte menu at breakfast.

Service was (at times) a bit slow, but always efficient.

After staying at this hotel I am totally in love with Him!! I arrived in Porto the day before my birthday, as soon as I entered the lovely administrator said "Someone has come to celebrate my birthday" and immediately upgraded the room!!! He escorted me to the room, introduced me to everything. As soon as I opened the room, I saw a bottle of champagne and welcome treats on the table! Unbelievable cleanliness, high-quality bathroom accessories, unreal interior! Breakfast is perfect. By the way, a surprise awaited again during breakfast - they congratulated me with a piece of cake and a candle! The employees are so attentive, kind and helpful, when I ordered a cappuccino with almond milk, the waitress brought it and saw that the milk was a bit too light, she said sorry, I see that it's not the right milk, let me change it. before breakfast I had a yoga class with the instructor Marta, she is fantastically professional, she is special! I swear I was very, very sad to leave this hotel. I am extremely happy to have chosen it for my stay.

Probably the quietest hotel I've stayed in my life. Wonderful staff, extraordinary breakfast, impossibly clean and a bed that looked like it had been made of marshmallows (I never slept so well anywhere, it was almost magic). It is also impossible to be any more centrally located and Yakuza, the Japanese restaurant, is also worth a visit.

The hotel had nothing to complain about, however allowing a dog into the breakfast room was something I had never seen before (except if it was for a visually impaired person, which was not the case). Everything else was perfect.

This is truly a 5 star hotel. It's old, grand, but absolutely meticulously taken care of. The place is in immaculate condition and every little detail is thought of. There isn't any worn down furniture, old bathrooms, and wear and tear at all. They truly take incredible care of this property. The concierge Sofia was incredibly helpful during my stay. As were all the staff. The location is perfect and within walking distance to all of the major attractions with many restaurants and bars nearby. The pool and steam room are simply heaven. The restaurant is a Michelin star restaurant and was one of the best Michelin star restaurants I ate at in all of Porto. I can't say enough good things about this hotel having contemplated all of the other 5 star hotels in Porto. It's actual a 5 star hotel and feels comparable to other 5 star luxury hotel chains. Highly recommend this location.

I did have a few issues with the Wifi speed. I can't comment on if this is true for all of Porto. Or, if this was applicable to the hotel only.

This is up there with the Mandarin and Peninsula in terms of service and decor quality. The bed was wonderful - the sheets were sumptuously soft. The room was exceptionally quiet and we never heard any noise at all which is rare. The location was amazing, right next to the town hall. The staff were very helpful. The dipping pool, steam and sauna and spa were a nice respite. Lots of drinking water and nightly macarons. Also lovely bathrobes.

Coffee at breakfast was not good. Breakfast options were plentiful but more fruits would have been nice. The electrical connection to the reading lamp was faulty and was not fixed despite mentioning it (a more fundamental problem to be fixed). The shower knob was very tricky to adjust to get it to stop dripping. Would have liked a bath tub. There was no view from our room and it was rather dark. Would be good to have better hanging knobs or racks for the towels. We found it a bit hard to operate safe and gave up.

Yakuza was very over rated, a bit pretentious and very overpriced. My wife and I are very fond of Japan in general and particularly Japanese food. We can organise a trip there just because we got a table in our favourite restaurant. There is room for big improvement here.
