The hotel has a wonderful history within a unique building. Our hosts were extremely welcoming and helpful. Breakfast was superb - local treats and quails eggs too! Our room was just fantastic, all the attention to detail marble sink, and a dressing room. A lovely stay in a high quality and quirky hotel.

The only issue was the jammy lock on the front door - it never caused us a problem as the hosts were on hand to help us out both times but I imagine if you wanted a late night out it might make you a bit nervous about re-entering the hotel.

A unique hotel close to the centre of Porto. A very personal welcome by the staff and owner of the hotel was the start of an exceptional 4 day stay in Porto. The hotel is discretely situated in a small street and when we opened the door to the hotel we found ourselves in a beautiful original house with original paintings on the wall paper, hand painted decorations and furnitures to match the originality of the entire house. All is carefully renovated with the hotel comfort in mind. We had a suite to the garden and experienced some of the most quiet hotel nights ever. The owner and staff finds an exceptional pride in their work and in maintaining the house and the hotel standard and were providing outstanding assistance and advices to visits in Porto. By far the best, most personal and most outstanding and unique hotel experience ever.

Beautiful old house that has been meticulously preserved. The location is ideal for exploring the city. Maria, the owner, and Vlada, the manager, are super helpful and friendly. Maria's breakfasts feature an exceptional array of food. We loved this place and hope to return!

Absolutely beautiful property in a very good location. We booked the duplex suite, which was spectacular. The room was spotlessly clean and quiet and the bed was very comfy. The breakfasts were delicious and very thoughtfully set out. Our hosts Maria and Ricardo were wonderful and made sure we had a great stay. Maria and Ricardo were very gracious and helpful hosts. Staying at the Palace Museum was a fantastic and fun experience - beautiful building and superb location. Had some of our best nights sleep in Portugal at the Palace Museum. Would love to return some day!

What a beautiful building, central location in a street convenient for all the sights of this wonderful city. A warm welcome and lovely atmosphere, you need to realise that you are staying in a unique and beautiful building. The hospitality displayed by the hosts was wonderful. We shall make this a must visit place again when we visit Porto.

Nothing, it was a unique and memorable experience. The bed was huge, the bathroom was massive. It was almost like staying with family.

There is nothing to dislike about the property. it is unique and grand all at once. it is resplendent I’m history. The beds were fabulously comfortable. And the rooms are large with an en-suite bathroom that includes a magnificent rain shower as well as a wardrobe with comfy robes and a warming towel bar.

What a beautiful place. You are in museum. The rooms are so large and luxurious and fully appointed. We loved the location near many great places to drink and eat.

- stunning building, a really special place to stay and the bed was so comfortable we wish we could have taken it with us - breakfast was fantastic - fresh, local produce, one of us is gluten intolerant and Maria and the team went out of their way to find various gluten free options every day - Maria, Ricardo and Vlada were wonderful and couldn’t have been more helpful and accommodating - great location with pretty much everything in walking distance We’ll definitely be back!

The house is a classical building carefully restored by the family. Only 4 rooms so you have their full attention. They prepare a fresh breakfast every morning up to your taste. They even bought my wife almond milk when she asked about it!
