Great location! We had to leave early in the morning before they served breakfast. They packed us a "take away" breakfast which was very nice.

We ate at the adjoining restaurant, Carvalho, run by the same family. We were charged 1.50 euros each for consuming 2 packets of butter and 1 packet of queso cheese. I have never been charged for pats of butter. The menu did state the charge for bread consumed as 1.50 euros each and we assumed that the pats of butter were included since that specific charge was not on the menu. When we received the receipt I asked the server what the charge of 4.50 euros for 3 Manteiga was (since I do not know Portuguese) and she pointed to the used butter and queso packets. The meal was excellent, especially the creamed cod, so I didn't argue, but I consider this a ridiculous charge. See attached receipt.

Friendly staff. Cleanliness of the room, and hotel in general is very good. The personal touch and effort of the cleaning team is much appreciated. Location to the beach and restaurants is great.

There is no water cooker in the room. There is no water stopper to keep water in the washing basin, spoiling a lot of water. It also takes a lot of time to get hot water, at least several minutes. Wifi connection could be better, as well as a proper desk at working height.

The staff was friendly, helpful and accommodating ... they let us in early (before check-in time) so we could get out of the rain, and then, since we were already there, checked us in early to rooms that had not been used the night prior, so they were available. The price was very reasonable, and I got what I expected. Nice, comfortable and friendly with no frills.

Only that the bed was a little harder than I prefer, but I know that is a very individual preference thing, and it wasn't 'uncomfortable,' just a little harder than I would prefer. Also the sound of clicking or clanking or water from the shower in the adjacent room could be heard through the walls. It wasn't loud, and didn't disturb my sleep, but it was audible.

It was clean. The owner and the staff were very courteous and helpful. The owner went out of his way to find me a parking spot The hotel was simple and straightforward. Everything I need in a hotel. It’s steps away from the beach and the main promenade in Sao Martinho. It has a lift. It was very reasonably priced.

Shower was a bit small compared with what I am used to but water pressure was great.

We loved most about the property. It is ideally located on a side street where you don’t get street noise but you can see to the ocean. You have the opportunity to take long and beautiful walks from the door. It has the feel of a classic Portuguese hotel complete with beautiful azulejos. The small but comfortable and spotless rooms are warmed in the fall by small space heaters which do the job well. We were very comfortable- which is not a given in the fall and winter in Portugal. The owners are friendly and go out of their way to make sure that you have all you need for a comfortable stay. Breakfast had a great variety of fresh foods, baked goods and warm choices. The family room was a much better option than putting our children in a separate room unsupervised.

The shower is small, but it has great water pressure and plenty of hot water.

2 minutes away from the beach. The rooms are tiny, but extraordinarily clean. Plus, not enough room for the kids to go crazy in. Very friendly and non-intrusive staff. Dinner in the hotel restaurant was exceptionally good.

The shower was very small. A suspicious smell of bug spray upon walking in.

Its really close to the beach and with several restaurants nearby. The staff is very helpful.

The room in the first floor was quite noisy due to the bar next door. Nothing that really spoiled our stay but if you need silence for a proper night sleep you should consider requesting a higher floor.

Very close to the beach, with a beautiful view from our room. The staff were very friendly and the hotel had a very authentic family feel about it. Free large bottle of water in the room was replenished daily, which was great!

The shower was very small and on one of the nights (we stayed two nights) we were kept up until 3am from the noise of people in the Irish bar next door.

I visit friends who live nearby so the location is perfect. Sta Martinho is a lovely place as well. I have been to your town countless times and will come again.

Being English I would appreciate facilities for making a hot drink and a small fridge.

The building and room was super clean I liked the decor throughout slightly dated but it added character & authenticity.

The double bed had been replaced with 2 singles and there was not much room between beds / and bunk beds
