Room very clean, scented infusers used everywhere making the smell quite pleasant. Location very convenient and central. Host is very friendly.

Lots of noise: I could hear my neighbour walking and chatting and even snoring at night. The building is mostly wooden structure so very little sound-proof. Downstairs is a pedestrian path, sometimes you hear people shouting or singing in the middle of the night, or dogs barking in the morning. Stairs: the stairs are steep and only have handles on one side, very challenging to go up and down with my suitcase. Size of the room: I booked the studio apartment, and the name could be a little misleading - note that it is basically a studio, where you have NO dedicated area for kitchen or living room. I stayed there alone for around 10 days, and the space was sufficient for me, but having two people there for a couple of days can be a little squashed

Excellent location in the middle of old tourist centre. Lovely restaurants, cafes, bars in the neighbourhood. Lisetta was a lovely host. Very helpful and quick to respond. The apartment was done up very well. Decor had charm and character. Lots of attention to detail. No washing machine but there was a laundromat around the corner. Enjoyed hearing the church bells :)

Wifi was very poor.Literally no wifi in the bedroom and loft. Lisetta provided us a cable that you can connect to your device to get data. There is paid parking close to the apartment but not easy to get. There are parking lots 5 -10 mins away near the port where you can get paid parking for the day. Noise/footsteps from the loft above the master bedroom could be a disturbance in the night.

Everything was so nice! We are gonna recommend to friends and family and hopefully come back. Much nicer to stay here and go by bus to Lisbon, than living there. Setubal is the perfect city and the appartment is placed right in the old area with no traffic and small shops and cafes right outside.

The only window was facing a small courtyard of only few squaremeters, so for the room we stayed in, not a lot of light entered... The rest of the rooms and appartments have windows facing the street or is situated higher and gets more light.

We had an amazing time in Setúbal and we really enjoyed staying at Cafofos da Zeta. The room was beautiful, super clean and comfortable.. The building is in the most perfect location right in the centre of Setúbal. I'd recommend trying the brunch place just over the road for amazing healthy breakfast and lunch options. The host (Liseta) was a really lovely kind person who showed us round, gave us some great tips and was always available if we had any questions etc. This was our favourite place we stayed in all of Portugal and we would highly recommend staying here!

There is much attention to detail being put into the beautiful interior decorating, as well as in the kitchen. It really felt like a place where one could live for a long time. Zeta is a lovely host and extremely helpful. This has probably been one of the nicest places I have chosen on Booking.com.

My last morning there, the guests upstairs were not considerate of others. Stomping around, dragging chairs around since 7:00.

The apartment was spacious, clean, and well-equipped. The location was convenient to all the places I needed. The outdoor noise was minimal, although I imagine high season would be different. The church bells were charming and did not start before 8am. They also ended at 8pm! Wifi was very good.

There's no interior soundproofing, so noises from other tenants were very clear. A quiet group for the most part this stay.

Second time we stay at Cafofos da Zeta. The location is as best as you can get in Setubal, walking distance to restaurant, bars and cafes and a very short car ride to the beach. The apartment w newly renovated and has everything you need for a comfortable stay. The owner is very helpful and friendly, will definitely go back.

The sofa bed for the 4th guest was a bit small and not very comfortable. Besides that everything else was perfect.

The hosts were great communicators and the apartment had everything needed for a basic stay. The location was good too.

It was smaller than I thought it would be (but that is probably my mistake!). Also the bed sheets did not fit the bed, although, the host did everything they could to address the issue.

Our first floor (second floor by American counting) apartment was smartly renovated and beautifully, tastefully appointed within an older building on a charming street with a perfect balance of quiet and activity (that pretty much describes all of Setúbal's historic center). We truly loved everything about how it was modernized while maintaining original structures and accents and we heard from locals who know the building that the top floor is even better. Easy walk from train/bus station and easy walk to Praça do Bocage and Avenida Luísa Todi, and 8-minute walk to the docks for a ferry to the Tróia Pennisula (a must see). Right across the street is a nice place (Alegre-me) for healthy tasty brunch/lunch/snack and a few doors down the street a great place for wine and snacks (Daniela). Finally, our host (super sweet Liseta) keep in good communication with us and met us on time to show us the place. We do plan to return to Setúbal for a closer look as a retirement place and will definitely want to stay as Cafofos da Zeta again. If it's available for your trip and the price is right for you (it totally was for us--good value all around), then book it, but just not when we want to stay there....

Really good location in the city, in a cute neighborhood, just a few blocks from the main plaza. Amazingly renovated by the owners. Really good workmanship and lovely details. The hosts were extremely responsive with all questions. Many thanks!

On street parking needs to be plugged regularly during the day for only four hours at a time.
