Our stay at RioArt Hotel in Setubal was simply outstanding! Nestled in the heart of the city, this hotel offers the perfect blend of convenience and comfort. First and foremost, the location is unbeatable. Situated in the center of Setubal, we found ourselves surrounded by excellent restaurants specializing in fresh fish and seafood, perfect for indulging in the local culinary delights. The nearby city pedestrian areas added to the charm, allowing for leisurely strolls and exploration of the vibrant atmosphere. Moreover, the proximity to the beach and harbor further enhanced our experience. We enjoyed spending time by the seaside, soaking up the sun and admiring the picturesque views of the harbor bustling with activity. The room at RioArt Hotel was nothing short of perfect. Impeccably designed and equipped with all the necessary amenities, it provided a comfortable sanctuary after a day of sightseeing and adventure. The staff at the hotel were incredibly attentive and friendly, always ready to assist with any inquiries or requests. Their warm hospitality added an extra touch of hospitality to our stay. Last but not least, the breakfast served at RioArt Hotel was delightful. We savored a delicious spread of fresh and locally sourced ingredients, setting the perfect tone for the day ahead. In summary, our experience at RioArt Hotel was exceptional in every way. From the prime location to the impeccable room and excellent service, we couldn't have asked for more. We highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Setubal and look forward to returning in the future!

We loved the hotel. It was centrally located. Beds were comfy and the location was perfect. Breakfast was good and the staff were kind. And when I say kind, I mean with a capital K. We arrived at the hotel at about 10 pm and after we were provided with a welcome drink, we were asked if we were hungry. We said yes, and the manager called a local restaurant to tell them we were on the way and ensured the kitchen with stay open for us. The manager then walked us to the restaurant and personally spoke to the restaurant owners making sure we were well looked after. That, my friends, is special.

We could have done with washcloths to shower with. Other than that, our experience was exceptional.

Location is great, walking distance to food places, Supermarket, Public transportation also the ferry, it runs every hour, 20 min. trip one way, cross to the other side, where you have a Casino, restaurants sandy beach (Troia - Mar Beach) and you can buy ticket to see Dolphins. Ferry ticket is 9 Euros (both ways). Rooms are clean, One room has a bed, second one has a Sofa, Both are spacious, each has TV / an air condition and washroom/shower. Breakfast has enough variety.

Nothing really, It's a three storey hotel, the only thing if you are an Elderly person, Request a room on a lower floor since there is no Elevator.

Excellent hotel! We spent several weeks there and had wonderfull vacations. The location is great: 3 Min. walking distance from supermarket, cash machine, pharmacy and restaurants. The second floor of the hotel is very quiet and calm. The rooms are modern, super clean and comfy. Beds and matresses are new and comfy. WiFi is stable and strong enough for Netflix or other streams. Instead of overcrowding the last room with guests, they created very nice quiet and relax rooms to drink coffee or read a book. Breakfast is good and has enough fruit and other healthy options for vegetarians. The service personal is very welcoming and service oriented. They gave us excelent tips for food and shopping. All in all a great hotel in Setubal and highly recommended. They made our vacations great! :-)

The streets around the hotel are loud. Windows are well isolated and we didnt have any problems to sleep, but if you have the windows open it is very loud. If you want silence and calm find a hotel outside of the city.

Small hotel on a renovated heritage building, good location to explore on foot this small city, walking distance to many restaurants, cafes and shopping, very friendly staff. Happy to have the in room coffee machine with free coffee capsules and an iron and ironing board.

In case you have heavy luggage, be aware there's no elevator, rooms are on upper floors, anyway the friendly staff volunteers to help you. Street parking only, there's no parking on premises but easy to find paid street parking nearby. Basic room and furniture, daily room prices are expensive for what it offers, but seems to be a norm in this area as there's lack of accommodation.

This was one of my favorite hotels during two weeks in Portugal. It is in an old building in an excellent location, but it is fresh and modern and comfortable in every way. It is on a busy street, but quiet. The breakfast couldn’t have been better. The staff was very accommodating. We arrived welll before check-in time and could store our bags. We also left our bags for hours the next day, and staff was lovely about it. They all speak excellent English, know Setubal well, and are professional in every way.

I just wish I could have stayed there another day or two!

The staff were unbelievable. They felt incredibly warm and genuine, and went out of their way to help us. My friend has a gluten and lactose intolerance, and they not only provided warm gluten-free bread and oat milk, but also asked if we would be staying another night so they could have it ready and waiting for us the next day. Such a lovely considerate touch. Special mention also to the lady on reception, who made us feel like family, after a long and tiring day.

Would have loved some Netflix access etc, but not a disaster.

We chose Setubal for a quitter off the tourist track type of experience, and we got what we wished for; Rio Art hotel was a perfect choice to explore the city as its very conveniently located near town centre and close to the famous Livramento Market. The hotel is in a historic building, high room ceiling and beautifully designed. The staff as great and helped us with all the questions we had, they even give you a map and advice on ‘must see’ in Setubal and its surroundings, best places to eat. Another bonus is how close the hotel is to the ferry’s, we found it so convenient to go to Troia peninsula and its famous beaches, highly recommend it.

I couldn't make the wifi work from my room, the signal was not great maybe due to the fact that is an older and historical building. Also for same reasons the building doesn't have any lift, but the staff was absolutely great and took our baggage's in the room as we arrived earlier and left our heavy luggage's there to check in later.

The room was a satisfactory size and the facilities very clean. The locations is great for being able to walk to most places in central Setubal with some great restaurants in the vicinity no more than 10-15 minutes walking distance. Breakfast good and reasonable time range. The staff were always very friendly and helpful in all requests.

Pretty much everything, to be honest. The staff are as attentive and friendly as they can possibly be, and their English is good. The bed is great, as is the shower. Breakfast is quite filling and varied (meats, eggs, breads, fruit, cheeses, cereals), and served in a comfortable common area on the first floor. We found Rio Art sort of by accident, and we're so glad that we did. We booked for the next two nights after deciding to remain in Setubal a while longer; we'd have booked at least two more, but they were unfortunately fully committed for the weekend already. We went out walking one potentially rainy afternoon, and the staff lent us an umbrella. They also offered us glasses of port when we arrived--extra points for this gesture! Location is great, right along the main drag, next to the municipal art museum located in a former Bank of Portugal building. All the shops and restaurants in the historic old town are just a few minutes' walk away. Parque do Bonfim is nearby, a local park filled with large quirky statues, and the area near the hotel has numerous other large public art works as well. One word of warning about the in-room coffee maker: It's a pod-style unit, and you must manually switch it off when your cup is nearly full. All the K-cup machines we've used in the past shut themselves off before the cup was full, so this was a surprise (not in a good way) the first time we used it. Luckily, there's a reservoir built into the machine to catch overflow liquid, so the mess wasn't what it could have been.

Nothing, really.
