Thank goodness I'd made a reservation, as it was fully booked by the time I arrived, and other pilgrims were being turned away. The all female dorm with lockers and plenty of room to organize my things; the lovely kitchen, dining, and living room areas were spacious and enjoyable; the modern twist on a beautiful old building; well done!

When I asked about a place nearby to buy groceries, I was directed to a very expensive wine bar and specialty food item boutique store just a couple of doors down, whereas I learned subsequently that there was a much less expensive and open grocery store within a ten minute walk. It was difficult to find a simple place to eat and grab a beer nearby after a difficult day of trudging through the sand and more rickety boardwalk than expected, so the location was a bit limiting for me. I'd still stay there in the future, but would be better prepared, having mapped out the more affordable grocery store in advance.

Very clean. Comfortable dorm and bed. Towels/sheets/pillows/blankets provided. Not at all far from the Camino! Very close to food options. Lockers were spacious and easy to access (you need to request a key if you want to lock the locker, they ask a 5€ deposit for the key that you get back when you check out). Breakfast was included and had good variety.

The showers had no shelf or hook where you could place a towel/shower supplies. There were no outlets near top bunks so charging my phone was a little difficult. No place to wash/hang laundry and laundry did not dry over night because dorm room was humid.

Beautiful place. Attendenta at the desk for wonderful and helpful. It's a huge space, everything is new and clean. Common spaces include a TV area separate from a library area separate from a dining area. Vending machine with affordable and healthy snacks. Tea available in the kitchen. I slept in an all female room where there were eight beds. Lockers were roomy and safe.

No light in my bunk area. No plugs in my bunk area. Had to charge my stuff on a shelf above the lockers. Overhead light needs your room key to stay on. If I would change anything I would just have lights and sockets available at each bunk.

After a very long hiking day was nice to stay at HI Vile do Conde. The bedroom was spacious, had its own key locker, bed linen was provided, blanket and towel set. The morning breakfast was gorgeous in the dining area and living room. I am not sure if you can use that area just to read a book in the afternoon (missed out on this information).

The only problem for me was that during the night people were searching for electricity plugs to charge their phones and other devices as there were not many options in the room. Some people even moved the bed without asking the upper bunk bed person (me) if it was alright (while half asleep). So maybe an external cable plug could be added in the future.

Gorgeous property, such a beautiful building. There’s stairs or a lift for access. Breakfast is provided in a nice dining area. The beds were comfy, and I loved the provision of towel.

For some reason the taps in the basins all had scalding hot water. So it was too hard sometimes to wash your hands or do your teeth. There was only one clothes airer that was shared with the cleaning staff. People moved my clothes to dry their own due to lack of space. There were also precious few electrical outlets in the room. Being a youth hostel, and school holidays, I did have to share with schoolies who made a lot of noise. My room was full of pilgrims though.

This Albergue is simply superb and has a high review rating which is well earned. The bed, room, toilet and washing facilities were spotless. There is a central lounge and breakfast room in the middle floor with a high ceiling which is great to chill out in the evening and to meet other pilgrims on the Camino. Breakfast was included and this was also fabulous with choice of juice, tea, coffee, cereals, breads fruits and more. I loved it. There is 24 hour reception or security service so no worries if you get back a little late. There are restaurants and other services nearby and easy access to the beach so I went for a swim. It also has a lift to upper floors.

Nothing.

Recently renovated so that this former palace is now trendy and modern. Great breakfast provided (fresh fruit, bread rolls, butter, jams, ham, cheese, 3 types of cereal, toast, juice, tea, coffee, hot chocolate). Towels provided. Wifi good. Kitchen has cooktop, fridge and microwave. Spacious bunkroom. Quiet location. Stable construction bunk and comfortable bed. Great location (close to info centre, 5 blocks from camino path). Duvet provided. Used luggage transfer service to and from this location and it worked well.

Power outlets in lounges are in the floor and only have a small space to push plug into hole so they didn't fit with my adapter. There were only a couple of power outlets in the bunkroom and you had to be in the room whilst charging as you had to put your door access swipe card in the thing on the wall to make power outlets and lights work. Hot water only from hand basins (no cold tap). Shower and bathroom lights go off whilst in shower. Shower water also on a timer. Moldy shower but bunk room and sheets seemed clean.

Lovely hostel. Really impressive building, nice dorm rooms split by gender which is a bonus for the girls as there is less snoring! Nice communal eating area but no real facilities to make any food unfortunately. Lidl a few minute walk away. Beautiful beach at the end of the road.

Bathrooms were not too bad as other hostels, but very see through shower doors in communal shower room. Might bother some people, but seemed to be pretty standard at most hostels on the caminho to be honest. No privacy to be had anywhere!

Location is very nice. In 5-10 minutes you walk to Lidl. Nice, clean spaceous kitchen. Within 3- 5 minutes you walk down the street to the sea. We were on the Camino, this is near the coastal camino. Very nice building. Enjoyed the breakfast in the old part of the building. (feeling like a royal person). Breakfast is on first floor, nice stairs. The building has an elevator.

- in our room on the ground floor, some groundwater was in the lower part of some walls. Due to this we saw some dark spots. Luckily it was nice weather , so we could open the windows for fresh air.

I arrived at posada de juventude, soaking wet and tired after walking my first leg of the Camino. The receptionist was friendly and showed me to my room, which was very clean, tidy and had beautiful art on the walls. Thank goodness the room had good heating and I was able to dry my clothes for the next day. There is a kitchen here if you want to make tea or cook your evening meal. There is a vending machine if you didn't bring anything to make a hot drink with. The breakfast was a nice treat and plentiful. Be sure to go up to the first floor and spend time in the reading rooms, they are delightful.

All good
