On our way home, we commented on how great the breakfast was. It was totally fresh, and we watched it being made. It rates a 10/10 for freshness and nutrition. It absolutely tasted fantastic. It was a perfect stay and we have stayed in many different countries and accommodations. The staff greeted us immediately and were very attentive to our needs as we had a tiny dog with us. They even brought us a box of treats for our dog. The staff is really what made our stay so wonderful and should be acknowledged. We will definitely be staying there again and will be recommending it to friends.

Staff - Lynkon was amazing what superb customer service - helped us with our luggage - gave us instructions on where to park our car - recommendation for restaurants The location was superb. Hotel had a lot of character. Easy to get to Ayemonte in Spain by ferry took about 10 mins - reminder shops close 12-3 some restaurants open suggest go in the morning or afternoon The breakfast was good - Plenty of choice Beds were comfortable Lovely pool area - roof top pool and one lower level open air Lots of relaxing seating to chill and read Locket patio off room with some seating but you can hear everything from other apartments

The bathrooms- not PRIVATE open bath in middle of room, no privacy - toilet does not have a fully closed door and the shower door is totally see thru

Excellent location in main square, close to river and jetty for ferry across to Spain. Plenty of nice restaurants nearby, as well as a good supermarket. Very pleasant and attentive staff, including the excellent very smiley chef who cooked us personal omelettes at breakfast. Very good breakfast, with Espresso machine. Huge 6ft bed, large bathroom, good views over the square. Nice little swimming pool downstairs, roof terrace upstairs with great views. If you`re wanting to sunbathe/swim, make sure you take the "Noddy" train to the lovely San Antonio beach.

Generally the hotel was of a very high standard, with great staff in an excellent location. Just a few negative: The fridge in the room was below par - very small, very lightweight and barely worked. It could not keep even a small bottle of water nice and cold. No kettle. The breakfast room is nice but has insufficient tables if the weather is not suitable for people to sit outside.

The location and standard of finish and cleanliness were excellent. Our room was really lovely, the bed very comfortable and the bathroom had a spacious shower. We loved having the small balcony that caught the morning sun that we could sit out on and we really loved that we could also step out from our room onto a roof terrace with sun beds/umbrella, it was brilliant.The extra luxurious touches of a small bottle of port and chocolate were really appreciated along with the water and small fridge. All staff were friendly and helpful, especially those working in the restaurant at breakfast.

Really lovely and helpful staff, can't rate them too highly! Also excellent breakfast and very good overall facilities and services. Very pleasant location in centre of town and near harbour (we didn't go to the beach). Some lovely shops nearby, especially pottery and linen. Easily accessible from motorway.

No complaints about the hotel. But if you are looking for an authentic Portugese experience, this town, like many others on the coast, is very anglicised. Sadly the cafes and restuarants now give you chips, when once you would have varities of potatoes and/or rice, and meals are often plated like English meals.

All the staff were polite, professional and were there for anything at any time. It was my husband's 80th birthday , we didn't tell anyone but the cleaners noticed his cards in our room, they informed the team and when we arrived back to our room there was some birthday cake, enough for two, with a lovely message. That was a super gesture and a lovely surprise; the cake tasted good, too.

Apart from the knives not being sharp enough at mealtimes, then nothing.

Beautiful building in the centre of Vila Real Santo Antonio square. Very modern and clean with lots of great facilities. Breakfast was amazing! The breakfast chef was very friendly and attentive. Very clean and tidy, attentive and friendly service from all the staff.

Cleaning / hotel staff were quite noisy in the morning around the pool in the court yard, which put us off sitting on our balcony or sitting by the pool. No information about WiFi in the room, had to find it at reception. Reception area is merged with the bar area, not much room for checking in / out with the area getting crowded easily.

Great location. Comfortable and clean room with an enormous bed. Excellent breakfast. Friendly and helpful staff. The rooftop terrace is lovely.

Very little hanging space in bedroom , no drawers either. A long mirror outside of the bathroom would be a useful addition. The kettle doesn’t reach to the plug socket. Our first room smelt badly of damp but we were quickly relocated and upgraded to a different room.

It was the second time we have stayed there, and like the first time, the hotel and staff are faultless. The rooms are of a good size, with enormous comfortable beds, cleaned daily with fresh towels, pool towels are also provided. The buffet breakfast is perfect, with an excellent selection of hot and cold food, fresh fruit, breads and pastries, coffee and fresh juice. There was a fruit and walnut bread that is to die for. There are two pools, one on the ground floor and a smaller one on the roof terrace, both clean and well maintained. The young staff are exceptional, friendly and very helpful. You can tell that they enjoy their work, nothing is too much trouble for them. We will certainly return.
