We stayed at Vivanta Coimbatore for three nights (Jan 17 through Jan 20, 2024). We were on vacation for the first time in India in a decade and we hadn't been back to Coimbatore in 25 years. This was a big trip for us as we had great hopes of reconnecting with dear college friends, close relatives, and the city of Coimbatore, which we did. Our wonderful stay at Vivanta Coimbatore in the central Race Course location just made our visit to Coimbatore a picture perfect trip! We truly enjoyed every aspect of Vivanta Coimbatore. Everything was exceptional—from the hotel's central location; to the room quality, cleanliness, and amenities; to the outstanding breakfast buffet; to the buffer and a la carte options for lunch and dinner; to the bar; and to the professionalism and hospitality of the staff in every department.  We want to shout out to some of the staff at the hotel's restaurant for their exceptional service and hospitality—Raj/Raja, Sudhakar, Mohan, the head chef, and the general manager. We also had lovely conversations with them and others at the restaurant. We also want to mention Karthik and Ibrahim from the housecleaning department. Unfortunately, we forget the names of a few others we received exceptional hospitality from, so in that regard, please kindly let ALL of your staff know how much we enjoyed our stay, and how much we appreciated their prompt services and superb hospitality. Bed and pillows were pretty comfy. Big thanks to the chef at In room dining for patiently accommodating our dietary needs. Every staff who served us from the various departments were polite and helpful. House keeping staff always served with a smile.

We specifically asked for a bed without gaps underneath since we stayed with cats that would hide there and ended up having to stuff pillows and duvets to close the gaps. One staff member from the front office, made me ride an elevator all the way to the 3rd floor and back, while knowing fully well that she didn't press the button to my floor... and even waved me away. When i expressed my displeasure, everyone else at the front office was apologetic except the said staff who actually seemed amused.

Suresh from Housekeeping was an absolute delight ensuring our room was serviced on time and any requirements were promptly attended. The breakfast buffet too was an interesting and sumptuous spread. We were upgraded to an higher floor and a superior room to match our requirements with our fellow traveling friends.

The check in time was not adhered to and we had to wait for an hour to get our room, despite coming plone hour post our booked time. However they were very accommodating the next day to allow us a late check-out without any issues/additional requests. Overall nothing to complain about at all!!

Booked this Hotel for my stay in Coimbatore. This Hotel is listed as a 4 Star Hotel and it is not rightly represented. In fact, it should be up-graded as a 5 Star Hotel - given the personalised service by Lily and her staff at the Reception, and excellent presentation of the room. The Room Service was prompt and attended to by smiling and polite serving staff. Lily anticipates your needs - I just flew in from Chennai and as I checked in at the Service counter, Lily offers to send a cup of coffee to refresh and also as I was leaving the hotel at 5.00 am to catch a flight, she offered to pack fruit salad and sandwiches to go and they were kept ready at the Reception. Just based on the location, the presentation of the hotel itself and the rooms and the pool, and having caring and very friendly & polite staff, I strongly feel it should be graded as a 5 Star Hotel. The Hotel delivered the characteristics of (a) family/kids friendly staffs (b) clean/tidy/serviced rooms everyday (c) decent mix races of country nationals (d) center location connects to many places in Coimbatore 2. Safe environment to use while you stay with family and kids 3. Staffs are able to give rational advises/guidance/direction while we explored local places 4. Restaurant food menu was fantastic : delivered a mix of Indian/Asian/Euro/US Cuisines which my family liked a lot 5. Restaurant staffs were very attentive and responsive (Many/All to name) : voluntarily took my family's requests and delivered timely without delays 6. Reception staffs are good : (special thanks to Badran) - staffs give spot on suggestions/recommendation and deliver them 7. Swimming Pool followed No Dive Policy : disturbance from pool view inside the room was negligible 8. Security Personal : Around 4AM i was going out receive family guests and i saw 5+ personal AWAKE and guarding reception/lobby lift all the way till main gate Additionally Security personal offered friendly hands (offloaded bags, scanned the bags, Sent bags to reception, Loaded bags to vehicles, smiley faces and good communication) 9. All female masseuse were fully booked while my family reached for appointment, so our advise : while making room booking - request for an masseuse appointment before you arrive to the hotel

sometimes my family felt staffs watching them while food menu was picked - I understand staffs are attentive to guests but not too attentive to scare guests

The property was clean, the staff was very courteous, the rooms were clean.

The location of the property wasn’t that great. There’s no scope to do any activities. Since the location is not that great, maybe property can have some entertainment in house like a table tennis table, pool table, a bar by the pool with fun music. The property has a huge, well maintained lawn. One’s best shot at spending sometime in nature is that lawn, but cannot use it, as it’s completely open, and tends to get very hot, especially in summer. Covering it up and adding more elements to the lawn might help guest relax and spend more time at the property.

The property had nice staff and the amenities were good. We didn’t use the pool but we saw others enjoying it. The restaurant staff were very pleasant. The rooms were clean and well maintained.

We stayed here in 2018 and again in 2019. It seems to have lost some of the sparkle that it once had. Before it was Taj Vivante and now it’s just Vivante. It seems that it has lost some of the 5 star aspects. We asked for a quiet room and the first night we had a wedding party yelling and shouting in the hallways. I had to ask them to be more quiet but alas that didn’t help. The second night was quieter, as there was no large events happening.

Our stay at the Vivanta was super comfortable. The entrance lobby is grand and well decorated. We were impressed with the room upgrade at check-in, cleanliness of the property and the extremely polite, courteous and super friendly staff at reception, in housekeeping and at the breakfast service. The breakfast was awesome and the filter coffee very delicious. The mattress was excellent and very comfortable. Our 8th floor room had mountain view and was very spacious. Highly recommend the hotel to all looking for a memorable stay in Coimbatore.

The suite room that we booked. It's bigger than most 1BHK flats in most places. My wife just loved the walk in closet and the way the room was set up. The staff were very courteous as well and made arrangements for us in case of any delays from their side. For instance the lunch buffet was provided to us as complimentary since there was a huge delay in the check in process.

The check in and out process. It's really time consuming and the management must look into it if it's a daily occurrence. Also the property is in dire need of a renovation. The rooms aren't aging well and regular and periodic maintenance is needed for them to command the premium they are charging now.
