Clean, good quality furnishings, friendly staff. Well organised pool area with a separate area for adults so that it didn’t all become overrun by children. Buffet selection was very wide encompassing local, Indian, Chinese and British fare - all were delicious. In particular, Kumar and Sakun in the breakfast room - to attentive and helpful.

Could let us know beforehand: QR code needed to enter Sentosa to avoid entry fee on the first day entering; in general a pre arrival information email about the shuttle services would be also helpful

It is a great hotel for families. Pools, water slides and kids club very very popular with the kids and it never seemed to be overcrowded. The adjacent activities outside the hotel also proved a hit, especially Sentopia, the Luge and the Fire and Light show. The free shuttle bus was a bonus. The hotel rooms were very comfortable and a good size. Staff in all areas very attentive and helpful. The hotel has clearly been well maintained over the years. The buffet food was of a high standard with enough variety for all tastes

This is not a new hotel. It is showing its age in places but we knew this before booking. However any downsides were more than compensated for by the service and attitude of the staff which completely exceeded our expectations. We were treated like royalty and every request was fulfilled. Breakfast was lovely, the room was spacious, cleanliness was superb. Little extra surprises (a welcome drink when checking in, a bottle of wine on ice in our room, some chocolates in our fridge, free self-service laundry facilities to name but a few) all contributed to making us feel incredibly valued. The staff and their meticulous attention to detail makes this one of the finest hotels I have stayed in. Top marks to Jennifer at reception, and Janet in the Business Lounge, truly exceptional.

Very difficult to find fault here. On occasions bar service was slower than expected but not so much as to impair our experience.

Love every single thing about our stay. From the moment we arrived at the lobby and throughout our stay, we felt welcomed and taken care of. My mum is in wheelchair and all the staff showed care to assist us in any way possible. Love the comfort and the cleanliness of our room as well which was made even lovelier with the view that we enjoyed from our sea-facing room. Love how they prepared a birthday surprise for my mum too which made the staycation memorable. We also loved the ambience and the spread for breakfast and how the sitting of guests were well-arranged by the staff on duty. Will definitely return because of the hospitality and comfort we enjoyed. Kudos to the team!

Loved the resort style facilities, as well as a private section of the beach! Brendan at reception was friendly and the emobiment of exemplary customer service, as he helped us with all our enquiries, including shuttle bus, all the best attractions, and more. We really enjoyed the breakfast buffet, as it had cuisine from all over Asia, Western, and even had coffee from Nespresso. It is definitely a must try if you stay here. The location was perfect, as it was right at the Cable Car Station at Siloso. Overall, it was a fantastic experience at Shangri La Sentosa, which is fun for all families and couples alike.

Nothing to dislike

We had an incredible stay at the Shangli-ra. We were travelling with our two little ones (2 & 5) and this property was perfect. I was worried the room were not going to be spacious enough, but we surprisingly had plenty of space. The resort grounds were beautiful. The kids had plenty of pools (and slides) to choose from. We loved having the beach so close and enjoyed the free water activities. I had read so many reviews that the resort was 'too dated' but I think that's part of the Shangli-ra charm, and it did not impact our stay. The resort felt so lively with so many people around but didn't feel one bit chaotic. We also made use of the free washing machine and dryers they had. A huge bonus when travelling with little ones!

A few things to keep in mind (not deal breakers for us). - Food options are limited in the area surrounding the hotel. The only options are the hotel restaurants which are pricey so you may need to leave. There is a 7/11 close by which was great for snacks. - The resort is at the 'end' point of Sentosa. So factor in getting in and out does take time. We relied on taxis. For us the trade off of staying at a resort with a private beach was well worth it.

Breakfast in level 6 have less selection however we love it there because it's quiet. Service is great and food is also great. They even offer to cook the eggs on however you like it. We went to USS and SEA Aquarium so location suits us - free shuttle and bus stop is near the hotel to take us around sentosa island and USS/SEA Aquarium.

Complimentary use of laundry/washing machine available however always in use even on early hours of the morning./late at night. I tried waking up at 3am in the morning to use the laundry facility but the washing machine was in-use But that is not the hotel's fault. They do have a lot of people staying in the hotel during our stay so a lot of guest were also using this ammenity.

We checked in during the busy hours and waited for quite a while before our turn. We were warmly served by Shawn Tan (Asst Front Office Manager) and chatted a bit with him. It was very nice of him to offer us a complimentary buffet dinner upon knowing that my wife and I were celebrating our anniversary. We were also offered a box of chocolate and cake. The next day, although the queue for breakfast at Silver Shell Cafe was long, again due to the peak hour, we managed to find our way to the Business Lounge for a quite breakfast with ample seats. We were glad Shangri-La offers this option for guests without children. Overall we had a very memorable anniversary celebration.

All good. I have no other comments. I think the staff took really good care of us throughout stay there over the weekend. That’s all I have for now.

Everything! The pool and play areas were great!! It was an extremely relaxing and chilled out time!

So they checked us in after after 5pm though we had a four year old child and we had come directly from an extremely long international flight (having requested 10 days in advance for an early check in)… They checked us in 3 hours later than the check in time…My daughter was crying at the end of it and it really made me feel that I made a mistake booking the property cause no matter how good it is, it’s not worth making my daughter cry so much. The food was average but that didn’t bother me much.

Good location, quality service, excellent food.

Small rooms, empty minibar. Many crowded areas of children.
