Beautiful location up on the hill of the old citadel (bit of a climb on foot though!). Easy check in and check out. Comfortable enough room. I was initially a bit worried that I'd overlooked the fact that there's no aircon, but because of the thick walls, it was comfortable to sleep with just the fan. While it was 30 degrees outside, inside it was probably about 23 or so.
It would be handy for there to be a hook to attach the shower head over the bath. I also had a surprise nightly visitor - a little mouse found some nuts in my bag that I'd left open. I reported this to the manager, though, and he was going to tend to it. They seemed surprised so I did not get the impression this was a regular occurrence. Old buildings with nooks and crannies can have this happen occasionally in my experience, so I didn't stress too much. Either way, always a good idea to keep bags with food closed.

The room was hands down the best room I have ever stayed in. It was spacious, clean, and gorgeous. The smaller bed was perfect for my child. The room looked out over the town square and was lovely to look out of in the morning and evening. Breakfast was amazing. A variety of choices, all of which were delicious. The staff was welcoming, friendly, and helpful. I'm 50 years old, have traveled fairly extensively, and I can say that this was the best hotel experience I've ever had.
Everything was perfect. I seriously cannot think of anything that could have made this stay better. I will say that we parked down the hill from the citadel proper and enjoyed the walk up and down the stairs leading to the square. However, this could be taxing for some folks. If so, I'd suggest arranging parking accommodations closer to the hotel beforehand. But really, this place is PERFECT!

The beds were confortable. It was clean. We had a fan. it was great. Although it was facing the terrace, the room was quiet, The breakfast was generous and tasty. Best one in SIghisoara IMO.
For the rooms that have two beds that are put one beside the other. The beds kept moving throught the night and creating a gap between them. We had to put a towel between the lower part and the matress in order to keep them tied together. I recommend sewing some Velcro strap (banda de scai) or zipper to tie them together because it can be dangerous if one falls in the gap.

We had a wonderful, two-night stay at Casa Wagner. Harry greeted us at check-in -- he was delightful, friendly, informative, and a joy to chat with. Our room, #1, was at the top of the steps. A comfy bed, reasonably sized bathroom with nice shower, and quiet as a church mouse. And, of course, the hotel is on the main square, the best possible location in Sighisoara. We had one dinner and one breakfast at the hotel - both were better than average but not sensational.
The daytime concierge was a very quiet man, a bit too quiet for such a job.

Everything was fantastic apart from the breakfast
Breakfast is the only thing that is not up to standards. Sure, you're receiving a large amount of food (fried egg, ham, salame, cheese, cream cheese, cucumbers, tomatoes, a yoghurt, a cake, bread) + coffee at your disposal but food is of mediocre quality, for the 40RON it can and should be much better. That being said, you have 0 alternatives before 9am in Sighisoara old town unless you do your shopping the night before which I suggest you do, at least until they decide to raise the quality of food.

i stayed only a night but everything was very satisfying. hotel and room was very clean . the receptionist was very polite and helpful . i had train very early morning and even he helped me to find a taxi . hotel it self is very authentic if I come back one day I will definitely stay here again.
there are several items are missing or could be good if they could provide . the shower curtain and hand shower hanger , while taking shower while bathroom gets wet . and a kettle in room would be good to make tea or coffee and May be if one bottle of water could be available in room it would be really good ☺️

Casa Wagner is a top location hotel if you are staying in Sigishoara, since it is locatef in the old city, just at the Citadel Square. The outdoor restaurant is a top place for breakfast, lunch and dinner, right at the square. The food is nice, the staff is nice. They serve fast and I appreciate most the short menu with delicious meals. The house is old-fashioned, alike all other houses there, with old furniture, old carpets, but this is part of the charisma since they are full of history and this brings authenticity.
We didn't like that there were no air-conditioners, so it was hot. Of you open the window you hear all the noise and life going down on the street and the square. Another minus I give for the lack of power sockets - in an apartment for 4 (2 bedrooms) we had 4 sockets in total, but 2 of them busy with the fans (there are fans in each bedroom) and one for the small fridge in one of the rooms, so actually we had 1 free socket to charge all phones, power banks, and etc.

This is a very nice hotel in a great location right in the heart of Sighisoara's historical district. It seemed very professionally managed from the moment I walked in and was immeidately taken to my room. The room was large with some "antique" (meaning dark wood) furniture, including a small table and chairs, an armoire. The bathroom was also large and with good fixtures and amenities (soaps, etc.). The room was very clean. Although the room was in a building across the street from reception and the restaurant, I felt safe with good security doors.
It should be noted that my room (I can't speak for other rooms, of course) didn't have AC. Rather, it had a fan. That was fine for me because I often use a fan at home. I opened up the windows and let the cool evening air in. It was fine. However, other guests might want AC. Of greater concern was erratic WiFi service in my room. It would not work when I was in the bed on the far side of the room from the door. It would start to be connected, then drop service. I ended up sitting beside the door for several hours to use the Internet. That was the only location in the room I could rely on the Internet connection. The connection itself was fine when it worked. The problem was its inconsistency other than at the door.

Historic property with furniture to match in a very spacious room, but with a modern bathroom. No AC (although fan provided if needed), it was good to be able to open windows and get fresh air! Perfect location for exploring the old town. Nice terrace on the main square: food served good with acceptable prices.
Breakfast was adequate (as it was included in the room rate), but less than inspiring, and the limited "hot" items were cold and unappetising. Kitchen closed at 2000 which we only discovered when we arrived for dinner on the first evening. Not the fault of the hotel but the car park at the bottom of the hill (20 lei per day, not per 24 hours) has to be paid each day so I had to walk there each morning to feed the machine!

It is right in the centre of a beautiful Sighisoara. You look from the window and see little square like from the fairy tale. You can feel like in the old times being in the building. It also have very nice and cozy garden/terrace. Breakfast was nice as well.
That we came very late and had to leave the other day. Wish we could stay there much longer
