It's situated on the most adorable picturesque typical little street, the rooms which are all upstairs have just been recently refurbished the photos don't do them justice, even although I booked a single I had a double bed which was extremely comfortable, excellent quality bedding and towels and the bathroom was in beautiful cream marble, it was way above my expectations, the owners are lovely and even let me keep my room on until 4pm at no extra cost as I had a late flight, nice touch. I will definitely return, be sure to find the tiny little courtyard on the street in front with a little church and a couple of little restaurants.

Clean and comfortable. + Friendly staff + The restaurant belonging to the same owners offers tasty dishes at very reasonable prices. + Value for money. Generally, it's a very good hostal for a couple of nights, especially if you're interested in the city, not in the sea.

- In the bathroom, I missed a heated towel rail: would be convenient to dry towels and fight humidity. I came to Marbella not for the sea, but if your aim is a beach holiday, there's nowhere to dry towels.

Old Town Marbella is small yet quite nice. El Gallo is in that OldTow, perhaps a half block from various plazas and church squares where you’ll find food and drink. No breakfast served however again, you’re just a half block from various opportunities. One thing, the restaurant in El Gallo is Lunch/Dinner type, Don’t miss going there, it’s a locals place with very Very good food. Cheers !

This is a little gem of a hotel. It's quiet on an adorable street very close to the centre of the old town. The rooms are very comfortable and functional. Aircon works a treat. The staff looked after me and regularly cleaned my room. There is also a lovely Spanish restaurant below which is amazing value for money. I will definitely stay here again.

The location is ideal only a short distance from a number of restaurants and bars. Also very close to orange square and 10 minutes walk to the beach. El Gallo is set in a quiet street where you feel you are part of the real Spain. The check in process is very quick and efficient. Our room was exceptionally clean, a good size with a walk-in lovely shower. We have stayed at a number of hostels in Marbella and El Gallo is certainly the best we have stopped in because of its location and excellent facilities at a very competitive price. We would definitely stay again.

Great accommodation in Marbella..Location is close the bus station, in heart of old town, close to the beach... Down is restaurant, upside is rooms... In a quite street... You have keys of down door and room door which is very safe... The room is so big, very clean, bed is very comfortable and big, you have little fridge for cold drink or food... On the wall is TV with much channel if you want... Bathroom is so clean, they give you few towels, soap and champoo...They clean rooms every day and change towels...Hostel is so close many restaurants and bars but is so quite if you want to rest... People who work there is so kind and helpful... All recommendations for visit and to be guest if you in Marbella

The location was amazing, in a beautiful narrow street, with balconies, flowers everywhere. It was in the Old Town of Marbella and a few minutes walk from everywhere else in the Old Town. there was no breakfast at the hotel, but we went to Bar Linda, around the corner, for a delicious breakfast.

Clean, light and spacious room with balcony terrace. All the plumbing was high quality, a rarity on this trip! Good location next to the old town, and a 20 minute walk from the Marbella bus station. Kettle and fridge also very useful. The hotel restaurant also serves very good food at reasonable prices.

The hosts were amazing, the location was great, very central and 15 min of walking to the beach. It had an amazing balcony view and I’m very impressed in general. I didn’t expect it to be honest, the photos don’t really do just to the place. It was more like a very good hotel than a hostel to be honest.

This is a family house that is converted into a hotel, the location is very nice and quite, the staff are super sweet, friendly and responsive. I was upgraded to a big room with a balcony that overlooks the mountains and there was a cleaning service everyday. I highly recommend this place!

The hotel was not open in the morning to grab coffee or breakfast, but it might be because it was out of season period
