Friendly happy host. Close to shops and ferry. Bed was comfy. Lovely quiet place to stay and relax.

The rain. It was the middle of winter though. The power cut but was due to a pylon falling over in Wellsford!

Had a great stay here and recommend it. Our room was spacious with a well-equipped kitchen with full fridge, comfy bed, and sofa. Plenty of room to spread out. There is wonderful espresso across the street at “Hell Hole”. The hotel is 1.5 blocks from the waterfront and ferry. It was a pleasant little walk to go for a swim. Lots of restaurants within one block. Recommend Hone’s Garden for incredible pizza. Russell is a delightful place and this hotel was spot on for our stay,

The location of the accommodation was exceptional. It was easy to get around Russell. The rooms were big and airy with ceiling fans and air conditioning if required. As a family we had a comfortable and enjoyable stay. We loved it so much, we have already booked again.

The accommodation needs a deep clean and it was not the cleanest on arrival. The top of the oven was dirty and there was hair on the toilet seat. The couches and rugs need a deep wash. Ceiling fans are noisy. There was also a very unpleasant smell that came into the main bathroom from the compost.

Very comfortable, calm, and homely. Nice having a sheltered deck with seats at the front and the back so you can sit and enjoy the sun in the morning and evening! Samantha is also a really cool chick. Also I discovered at check out that there are books and games in the reception area!!! I missed out!!!

Need to upgrade the frypans to ones with lids. Also need a pair of scissors for the kitchen.

Accessibility was very good, with car parking outside the door. It was great to be not bothered by housekeeping wanting to make beds etc. We could really relax. Very good fridge and kitchen area. It was walking distance to everything we needed in town.

The bed was a bit hard and the lack of a wardrobe space made the room look unnecessarily messy. The tiny fan in the bathroom was inadequate and made it very hot with no windows for air circulation. We had to leave the door open.

Everything- location, value for money. Most lovely friendly and helpful receptionist ever with his sulu and great first impression of hotel. Everything about the hotel was exceptional. Room itself was well equipped and comfortable, clean & stylish. I was very pleased with my stay. I hope to be back for a longer visit in the future.x Vinaka vakalevu!

I would definitely come back. The location, accommodation everything could not have been more perfect. We were even able to hop on the ferry to Paihia and spent the day there. Thank you so much for a most memorable 5 days. We were left on our own to come and go and the proprietor was the loveliest man. Very helpful and welcoming.

There wasn't a single thing I would say that I didn't like about Seaport Village. I felt sorry for them on the day of our departure as a storm had come through overnight so there was no water or power.

We are so glad we chose to stay in Russell rather than Paiha and chose Seaport Village. Seaport Village is very comfortable and very central with good facilities. We had a car but it is only a stone's throw from the jetty so we hardly used the car whilst there. So easy for the boat. Russel is lovely, very small but with a very interesting history. We wish we had stayed longer so we could explore the old town more.

This was one of the most expensive places we stayed on our New Zealand trip but we think that is because it is the Bay of Islands and such a good location. It was good value compared with other places in the Bay of Islands.

Very central, close to all amenities. Nice balcony to sit outside. We had the apartment with full kitchen facilities and it was perfect. Parking on the premises. Baden was extremely helpful and always had a smile. Lovely place to stay, would highly recommend.

our host was welcoming and friendly, the apartment was exceptional - roomy, comfortable, well-appointed, clean and with a lovely, sunny little balcony overlooking the street. The location was perfect - everything we needed at walking distance.

We wanted more time there!
