Traditional Scottish hotel in a picturesque area of Skye. We received a very warm welcome and our family room was comfortable with a large bedroom on the mezzanine floor and a smaller bedroom downstairs. We had a lovely lounge area too, ideal for relaxing. The beds were so comfortable and as the area is quiet and dark, we were able to sleep soundly. The bar was buzzy and fun and the hotel lounge was ideal to enjoy a drink before dinner. Dinner was delicious, everything we ate over the three nights we were there was well cooked and portion sizes were plentiful. The breakfast was cooked to order and was very tasty. The staff were all so friendly, especially Fiona at breakfast. I would recommend this hotel.
There was dust in the small bedroom which was only noticeable when the door was closed so maybe the cleaner doesnât close the door when they cleanâŚA very minor pointâŚ

Gorgeous setting with beautiful views. We stayed in Room #15 which was amazing to look out at lighthouse and Loch. The staff was exceptional, friendly, helpful and fun to be around. The Isle of Skye is an incredible destination and staying at Hotel Eilean larmin made it perfect and a very special memory. Rooms are large and beautifully decorated. Dining at the hotel was elegant offering delicious meals.
We had trouble with shutting the bathroom sky light window and was quite chilly one morning. Next night we were able to close that window.

I wish we would have had at least one more day, if not two, at the Hotel Eilean Iarmain to explore the immediate area and enjoy the wonderful, expert hospitality of the hotel staff. Two days/nights did not give us enough time to take in the wonders of the Isle of Skye and the beauty and history close to our lodging. Even though it was a drive to explore some of the other areas on the Isle of Skye, the serenity of the location was worth the travel. The hotel's restaurant served wonderful dinners and breakfasts, and the bar was a great place to relax with locals and fellow travelers. There is a really special energy to the place.
The bathroom subfloor badly needs replacement, but I expect the management already knows and they are waiting for the slow season to make repairs.

Breakfast was beautifully presented in the Conservatory with lovely views of the countryside. Cooked breakfast was perfect. Continental alternative was great too. Evening meal was great too, cooked to perfection. Service was quick and professional by cheery staff members who were very welcoming .
Canât think of anything that would have improved my stay. Was surprised that there wasnât a TV but didnât really miss it at all. Staff couldnât have been more attentive . So thank you. Their whisky is lovely too!

We had a lovely room overlooking the sea in Room # 15, I mention because I think it's the best room on the property, we had a view over the water and of the lighthouse. I would have loved to stay longer. We ate both dinner and breakfast which both were excellent. We had a front window table that was charming. The staff is super friendly and the pub on site fun. The property has an outdoor peninsula with tables that are great to just sit and sip your beer and watch the gorgeous scenery. The location is close to Armadale to catch the ferry back to Malaig. I hope to come back one day and spend some more time.
Everything was lovely, only thing I didn't like was that I couldn't stay longer.

The staff were very pleasant. The dear lady who checked us in(unfortunately forgot her name) was so pleasant. The place had no mobile network and that feeling of being cut off was great especially coming from a busy and bustling city like London. Everyone at the hotel were informal and the people around seemed warm and felt like a big family. I highly recommend to stay here for a day or two when on a trip to the Isle of Skye.
Nothing really

The hotel manager, Kate, was very accommodating when we asked for a different type of room the week before our arrival date. The room we ended up was in the main house upstairs which was so convenient. It was large with a great view with had an extra comfortable âroyal bedâ. The breakfast was exceptional and served in a such a lovely sun- filled room. Wonderful hotel with very friendly. Hope to go back one day!

The list is long! Being on Skye, the quiet Sleet Peninsula, the quaint old house right next to the water, the beauty of the mountains right out our bedroom window, the fun room upstairs that had only the bed, Mary the wonderful breakfast hostess, also the great breakfast sitting by the window with great dishes, and being able to stay in a little building across the road from the restaurant that had 4 rooms on it. It was private and cozy.
Not much to not like about this place. It wasn't a big problem, but having the bedroom and the bathroom on different levels was slightly annoying.

A stunning location for a fantastic few days on the Isle of Skye. Very easy to find, just a couple of minutes off the main road on the Sleat peninsula. Plenty of parking. Stayed in one of the suites, which looks out to the Ornsay lighthouse, and the mountains on the mainland beyond. Warm room and comfy bed. Plenty of staff around to assist with check-in, enquiries and meal service. Breakfast was great, with a range of cooked food available - can't beat a full Highland Breakfast with haggis! The adjoining bar is small, but as a resident, you can take drinks through to the lounge area in the hotel which was very comfortable. Great selection of drinks in the bar - gin and whiskies galore, as well as Skye Gold on draught. We were there for Hogmanay, and joined in with the ceilidh, and celebrated with fireworks and bagpipes at midnight. A great stay, and would return!
No hand soap in the en-suite in our room. Booking.com allowed us to book 2 adults and 2 children into one room - we were ok with our 2 young daughters sharing the small sofa bed, but be cautious if you have older children as this would not be ideal.

The setting is gorgeous and we walked the connected roads each morning. Felt like we were part of a quiet Scottish neighborhood, passing several locals out walking their dogs. The rooms are spacious and clean and the bathrooms were the BEST we experienced in our Scotland travels. There's a friendly pub onsite, that locals frequent, a nice restaurant and a delicious included breakfast with a nice variety. The staff is very, very helpful and friendly! Would stay again!
