Loved the beds, the bath collection and the breakfast was hearty and delicious! Loved the location and the rooms were super clean and well arranged. Any staff we encountered were super friendly and efficient. Trudy from the breakfast bar deserves an award for customer service! She made our stay. Front desk staff was informative and super helpful.

Had some issues with room charge being charged on incorrect credit card. Had a hold and the upgrade charge on one card and full charge off of the incorrect card, even though upon check out went to the desk to ensure it would be correct and was still charged incorrectly.

There’s indoor parking underneath the hotel that had plenty of spaces for the size of the hotel. The front desk staff helped me track down a fan in the middle of the night so that I could cool down without freezing the family member that was travelling with me. They were really nice about it, especially with it being mid-February. The beds were comfortable and had multiple types of pillows. Breakfast tasted good and had a lot of options. The tub in the bathroom was big like in the photos. Water pressure for the shower was great.

This hotel is wonderful. Totally clean and my room on the 7th floor was excellent.

Their Front reception staff needs to learn how to do their job properly. I did the check in online ahead of time. I get there after a 10 hour drive and pick up my room key card. When I get to my room the key card doesn't work. The Front reception staff had not activated it. I think you can understand my frustration.

We were very impressed with our first stay at the Chateau Saint John. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful, both at the front desk and in the breakfast area. Our room was spotless, quiet, and large - having a seating area was an unexpected bonus. Having breakfast and parking included in the price made the Chateau Saint John a much better deal than the nearby hotels in the Uptown area.

I don't think that there is anything that could have been improved on!

Very clean property. Nicely decorated. Not modern, but adequate and goes well with the hotel. Nice staff at check in desk. Very informative. Trudy at breakfast is absolutely fantastic. Great energy, friendly nature, very welcoming and accommodating. The best part of our one night stay was Trudy!! Thank you. It’s rare to get this much attention! Will absolutely stay again if needed.

Friendlist breakfast server I've ever met. Front desk staff was also friendly, but somewhat not-knowledgeable (recomended an asian place for dinner based SOLELY on Google that turned out to be AWFUL).

We arrived and the A/C was out of order. Front desk thought they knew what the issue was; said they would correct it immediately (they though the circuit breaker needed to be reset). Fifteen minutes later, the problem was not resolved. Went down to the front desk to personally see what the issue might be. Front desk staff said "we reset the circuit breaker". They never called us to let us know what was going on, but rather waited for another complaint from us. There was NO FOLLOW-UP. When I told them the issue remained unresloved, they gave us another room.

We only stayed one night but found the hotel to have easy and plentiful parking, reception super friendly, room was very clean, spacious and quiet and a great breakfast. The complimentary laundry (two washers, two dryers) was also a bonus.

It's next to a bit of a busy road but we couldn't hear this from our room and it's still very close to downtown Saint John we walked over to the market and only took 10 / 15 mins.

The breakfast was good. The staff was pleasant.

There are no restaurants close by. When you arrive late around dinner time you don't want to go out again to eat. It would be nice if the Chateau offered dining/bar. There is a dining room and they offer breakfast, so I think having a small bar menu would be nice. Even if it had a very limited menu it would be convenient. We travel to Nova Scotia a few times a year. We probably won't stay here again because its easier to just walk and grab a bite to eat at other places in St. John.

The staff at the breakfast was awesome and very helpful. It was my first time and I didn't where things were and they helped me very kindly. The rooms are very clean and quiet.

The internet connection was difficult from my work computer and I had a message saying someone was trying to access my computer. I was suspicious and wasn't able to connect.

This was a last minute booking due to a change in travel plans. We had just driven by the hotel and liked the look of it. The room was surprisingly large. Everything was clean and inviting. Coffee maker was in the room. Lots of pillows and a comfy mattress. The bathroom was remarkably big which was a treat. Breakfast was included in the price and offered both hot and cold options. The hotel is less than a ten minute drive to the Saint John/Digby ferry pier which worked great for us.

There was road construction so entering the parking lot was a little tricky but that of course is not the fault of the hotel.
