The breakfast was excellent with good service from all the staff. Although we were self-catering we wanted to experience a dinner. We were not disappointed and enjoyed a well presented and tasty meal. A special mention for the lady who prepared my desert. It was a picture on a plate. Overall, we had a very enjoyable 3 night stay.
The room, although comfortable, was a little bit tired. For self-catering there was everything you needed.

Breakfast and restaurant was excellent, and the wine tasting was great. Everything was available and family friendly, great for kids. The unit was nicely furnished and equipped. The staff was very friendly and helpful.
The shower needs a proper clean inside on the walls and tiles due to mould. The shared braai on the stoep is a problem if there are 2 units sharing that space and there were no braai grids to use on the boma. Festive season and the restaurant closes at 16:00 would be great if the dining option was available. The duvet covers are worn, some torn, however they replaced it when informed.

The breakfast venue, service and food were excellent. Just one suggestion. Whilst loadshedding is "the thing in South Africa, those of us that are not used to it, probably just need a bit of a nudge/reminder. The lamps and candle were great, but we were just caught a little off guard. As I say, not a criticism, but a reminder to foreign visitors would be a nice touch. Would definitely stay there again. Lovely, friendly stay. Super comfortable bed and lush pillows.
The dead vineyard in front of our cottage. Again, not a criticism - did not detract from our stay.

Beautiful location in the vineyards. Great to relax in the beautiful nature but close to many attractions should you wish to explore. Staff were amazing (special mention to Jesmeen and Marklord!!!). Definitely worth booking for dinner… the food, presentation, service and ambiance exceptional! Great pool!!
Eventhough the cottages are reasonably basic (from a self catering perspective), it is comfortable and well appointed.

The cottage was clean and comfortable, the sitting room had sofas and a dining area with fridge, kettle microwave etc, the bedroom was lovely, matching headboards and light shades, which I found out had all been refurbished after covid by the staff themselves. The bathroom had a separate toilet. The outside view of the river, fields and vineyards was beautiful. There was a bbq on the patio which we used both evenings having brought our own food and was cleaned each morning. The breakfast was in the main restaurant and was great. We did a 5km walk around the property and enjoyed that. We also bought some of the red wine for the next part of our trip. Lovely, friendly staff. Definitely recommended.
Nothing to dislike

Unexpected beautiful farm (gem) along a busy road towards the coast, friendly and professional staff, beautiful scenery, excellent breakfast and diner, beautiful walks available
Restaurant only open one day per week and would have been nice to know this up front, some signs of recent flooding impaired access to our wlaking trails, walking trails could benefit from some maintenance

Staff were so helpful and welcoming. The accommodation was exceptionally clean and so peaceful. It was safe with no feeling that you couldn't leave stuff in the house unprotected. Good location for exploring the Bot River valley with many vineyards to explore and taste wine from.
Unfortunately the restaurant and tasting room is closed on Monday and Tuesday so we didn't get to experience them during the visit apart from breakfast on the last day...which was awesome. This was probably my error for not checking all the details so is more of a disappointment than a negative.

We love everything about the Wine Estate. The Vineyards, the accommodation, and the food is exceptional. Coupled with the friendly smiling staff, it makes for a memorable stay always. Our 5th time visiting.
Absolutely nothing. We love that it's a stone throw away, just over the mountain pass from Cape Town. Ideally situated between adventure as well the beautiful countryside and towns like Kleinmond, Arabella and Herman's. Up the road, Dassies farmatall en route Caledon.

Great location just off the N2. We used on way back from Mossel Bay to Cape Town. It's close to the small town. Relaxing and quiet surroundings with great views over surrounding countryside. Natural, old cottages but tastefully decorated and very clean and comfortable. Breakfast was exceptional and staff very friendly. Would rebook!!
TV in room 3 didn't work but didn't effect us. Just a great place to stay

Lunch was amazing. Staff were exceptional: friendly, polite, knowledgeable. Cottage was spacious, clean and neat with all the basic facilities. Comfortable bed.
Listening to management have a meeting next to our breakfast table. Privacy issues - people (including staff) walking behind our cottage.
