Staff all amazing and attentive Felt very comfortable on all the premises Food all excellent (we had breakfast/ lunch and Dinner at the premises) Very clean Food preferences (I.e GF and vegetarian) very well catered for and made to feel like they cared
Garden area needed a tidy up (only thing on the property that looked messy) 2 things a bit of an issue for me, but not really the owners fault - just my preferences……. 1. I wasn’t aware dogs where allowed (which for me was a bit troublesome at times, as I’m scared of dogs and they barked in the room opposite me and where in the dining area!! - but staff where very good at letting us sit elsewhere) 2. The sink in my bathroom was high! (But then I am 4.11 so I had to go on tiptoes to wash my teeth 🤣🤣) - my friends sink was a normal size.

Such a lovely little hotel in a beautiful old village! Castle Hotel is in a gorgeous Victorian building ( with beautiful leaded bay windows in some rooms ). The rooms are not huge, but so elegant and simple in design that they feel spacious and airy. Toiletries and tea/coffee are really good quality, there is a tassimo espresso machine, the beds are comfortable, proper linen, plenty of pillows and blankets. Staff are so helpful and friendly, while the atmosphere remains relaxed and informal. Breakfast is delicious and gives choices from a full English to yogurt with berries or Eggs Benedict! Free car park at the back. All in all as good as it gets, highly recommended!

The room was well appointed. Bed nice and big and comfortable. Extra pillows available were a good idea. Shower room compact but well fitted. Breakfast was good. Evening meal was good. Free parking. Room very clean. Lots of fluffy towels and robes.Room was quiet. Great cocktails and beer selection in bar.
The carpet up the stairs to the room was really grubby. The room was lovely but the simple black blind could be covered by some nice curtains.it seemed outbof place. Some fixtures in bathroom were rusting. Breakfast was nice but noise of staff in kitchen was distracting - shouting and shrieking

Such a great easy and very welcoming welcome - nice room - exactly as advertised - lovely hospitality bits - nice shower -sorted me out a table for dinner on a Saturday night even though I hadn’t booked ! - haven’t had a steak cooked to such perfection in ages - obviously to my perfection - and great breakfast - staff were all excellent
It’s a pub and I was above the kitchen so it’s a little bit noisy but stops at closing time so all fine

The bed was very comfortable and the shower was efficient. The room was clean and warm. Great tea and coffee options to choose from. There's a good choice of breakfast.. the full English breakfast was very tasty. Friend and I had an evening meal at the hotel restaurant, it was a very good dinner, we had the lamb, the fish and the Eynsford Mess. It was beautifully presented and really delicious. We will definitely be eating at the restaurant again.
The room and the bathroom were very small, the toilet was too close to the facing wall.

Staff very friendly and helpful and accoodating to my need for a room with a bath and upgraded me which I was very appreciative of. Breakfast was really delicious and plentiful, and the whole vibe of the place is just lovely. The room was beautiful, unexpectedly boutique and fancy, and I'd stay here again. The duvet was lush too. But I would definitely not stay in room 4.
In room 4 the bed was hideous! I barely slept at all. I checked the next morning and it looks like the mattress had collapsed on one side, or it felt like one of those cheap "yellow and blue shared house in London" type mattresses. Which was very unexpected as everything else was quite fancy. The window also wouldn't seal properly so cars going past all night kept waking me up and because it didn't close 100% cold air was pouring in which was fine as I like it cooler in the room but because I had to sleep on the side of the bed closest to the window I had the cold wind blowing in my face all night past the blind. Pillows were also way too fat and rock hard which made for a very uncomfortable night overall.

Fabulous staff, lovely breakfast and lunch. Very comfortable bed and great coffee machine.
Only a minor gripe. The shower room was very small, and due to the shape of the wash basin, there was nowhere to put small items. It is difficult to put contact lenses in if there's nowhere near the basin to put the container or solutions. It is a bit expensive based on stays at other similar properties.

Good, quiet location. The room was clean with a comfy bed. Tea and coffee options were lovely. On this occasion noted there is a coffee machine in the room, and I enjoyed the hot chocolate and coffee options. Fantastic breakfast and friendly staff. I have stayed several times and will be back.
The bathroom is small and awkward to use toilet as it's so close to the wall.

Room number 7 was was amazing with a huge bathroom and bathrobes included ! Overlooked the high street with lots light. Bed was very comfortable. Lots of room.. 3 rooms in total. Very quiet at night. Full English breakfast was amazing. Staff were all very friendly
I smoke … when going outside in the smoking area at night there was no lights at all ( maybe I missed a switch but it was too dark to see ! )
