the views were amazing. it was so peaceful and quiet. it was an easy walk to the small town and to red beach. it is close to the harbor where many/most boat tours go out of and close to several wineries. two just stops just a 10 minute walk away that will take you to fira and oia for 1.80 euros. I’m so glad I stayed here instead of fira and oia as both places are beautiful but great for a few hour visit, so packed and triple the cost for ocean view. the staff was incredible. breakfast was perfect. my Morning run was to the lighthouse one day and this other very panoramic view. I didn’t feel like I missed out on anything by not having a vehicle or by not staying in fira or oia. definitely don’t hesitate to book this place.

Villa Galinia is like home away from home. It's Serene, close to the bus station and has the feel you require for you holiday. The hot tub in the room stands out for me. A family run business which even makes it feel like home as they all work together to make your stay enjoyable. Notable mention is Emi who was super helpful, providing advise for different things on the island and also helped us get our tour rescheduled to a different day when we missed the timeslot allocated. Overall will recommend.

Nothing about the Villa. Just that Akrotiri is far from Fira which is the centre so you would need a car if you want to explore different places in Santorini.

Booked the Villa Galinia following reviews from others, I must say it was the best decision I made. The service and hospitality from Emi, her Mum and Dad was second to none. This is a family run Villa and we felt like it was home away from home. We stayed for 4 nights, it was so peaceful and quiet not busy at all. When we arrived me and my husband were so nervous, we didn't know what to expect but we received a warm greeting by Emi who took all our nerves away. Everything was explained to us clearly, all questions answered. We arrived around 9:45pm and the Mum still cooked us a delicious meal. The room met our expectations and matched the pictures online, we initially booked the room with jacuzzi, spent one night there and Emi so kindly upgraded us to the room with the hot tub! The views are breath taking over the Caldera view. The cleaner lady is lovely, she comes in the morning and cleans the Villa and rooms to a high standard. Our stay included breakfast, a nice selection is on display and the Mum's fried eggs are amazing! Someone else commented on this in the reviews as well so thank you for this! Would we come here again? Within a heart beat. This was our first holiday away without the children, so thank you Emi and your beautiful family for making our stay so lovely and one to remember.

A friendly, family run business, keen to provide a good level of Customer Service. Poolside rooms, quiet environment, breakfast included, fresh towels everyday, great housekeeping, airport transfer available (chargeable), free parking, a 10 minute stroll into the village where local buses run ‘both ways’, a number of restaurants in the village if you don’t want to sample the great food at Galinia, good clean pool, sun beds and beach towels, and Sissi, a friendly house dog that always seems to want to be stroked!

The villa was run by Emi and her delightful family, who made the stay a real pleasure. The location is at the more peaceful end of the island, which is nice if you want to avoid the crowds. The accommodation was simple but well laid out and supplied everything we needed. The restaurant put on a lovely breakfast and dinners were excellent as well, and reasonably priced. The pool was great for cooling off and we enjoyed Caldera beach nearby, although it was a hike down and up.

You need to catch the buses to go places, which are cheap and run frequently, so it’s not a big deal, but can make it a little more difficult to get to some locations (e.g. Parissa Beach).

The room and property were as advertised. The establishment is mostly family operated. They're very warm and helpful people and make you feel at home. Breakfast was very good as well. They open the restaurant for dinner from 7 to 10 pm but we didn't have the chance to give it a try; we'd always come back late. The ride from Fira is 20-25 min by car depending on the time of the day. We chose this location because it's away from the noise and crowds of Fira and Oia. We had a view of the caldera from our balcony. Free parking. Would definitely stay again at this property.

First of all: Emi is the nicest host I ever had at a hotel! She and her family were sooo nice and helpful. They did everything to make us feel welcome. Our room was even ready before check-in and it was clean and spacious enough with our two suitcases. The bed was comfortable and we also liked the little nook outside in front of our room where we could sit in the evenings. We really liked the location, quiet and away from the more touristy areas but you are in Fira after a short drive of about 20 minutes. Breakfast was served by the family and there were always some homemade sweets or else included. We also enjoyed dinner at the hotel, precisely the saganaki and tomato fritters, you have to try those :-) If we ever come back to Santorini, we will definitely book Villa Galinia again.

Easy to find as they have a nice big sign on the road where you turn. The view from the balcony was fantastic. The breakfast was extensive - the fried eggs (made to order) were the best I have ever tasted (even better than my own). The staff were all excellent to deal with. The pictures on Booking are accurate. We would definitely return here, if we ever come back to the island, but I would chose a higher priced room!

We found the bed to not be comfortable. BUT, we had the lowest priced room. When I looked online at the more expensive rooms they all looked to have better beds in them - this was a learning experience for me.

Lovely location, lovely family run, car/quad hire right next door. 30m from Thira and Oia. My opinion if you want to come to Santorini’s stay here, thira and oia are to busy for me this was great. The maid was also lovely if you stay make sure you tip! And visit panorama restaurant best sunset view 20m walk from this hotel. Can’t fault it. Emi, her family and cece are lovely! Will defo stay here again.

Nice, welcoming, family run hotel. Very user friendly and helpful with taxis etc. Located quite high to give great views. 10 -15 min walk into village. Breakfast was a good buffet. Eggs cooked to order if required. Nice outdoor shaded setting for eating. Didn't dine but dining was only 20 - 22 hours and there was no menu displayed. Recommended to avoid the crowds and bustle of Fira.

Hard to be critical. We got what we expected plus a very friendly service.
