We were very happy with our stay, a very beautiful location with beautiful views, the property affords you complete privacy with private parking also. Our room was very comfortable and airy with a very comfortable king size bed, tea & coffee facilities & little extras were good. Breakfast was served in our room which was also very good, breakfast with a view, perfect 😊 We also found our host absolutely friendly and accommodating, nothing was too much trouble, she made us feel at home 😊 We’re most definitely looking forward to another stay, a great stay to explore the area, we were driving the NC500 & this stop was ideal with Ullapool just a short drive with all the amenities on offer.

This croft is perfectly located for visiting the Assynt (if you drive) and is within easy walking distance of Ullapool, which is the major supply stop for this part of the Highlands. The landlady is very friendly and helpful and the room looks out across the loch to the mountain range beyond. You see plenty of birdlife from here and you can watch the ferry to the Hebrides go up and down the loch several times per day. At night it looks a bit mystical being so large and lit up compared to everything else in this region. Plenty of walks in the area, with Ullapool Hill probably being the most challenging one within in easy walking distance of the croft. The room is full equipped and comes with magic heating which you can control from within the room. As mentioned above, good views across the loch and down across Ullapool town itself, as the croft is high up compared to the town. Beware the crocodile in the hall, he is an admirable beast, who prefers to stay indoors given the cooler climate in this part of the world to where (s)he was created. Look out for other wonderful carvings in the hallway and enjoy your stay in this fantastic part of the Highlands.
Having only a few days in this region this year. ANd the long drive back home at the end of the holiday.

Perched atop the escarpment when driving in from Tongue the location was breathtaking; overlooking the estuary with Ullapool in the distance. Able to look at the Ferry depart down the estuary from Ullapool wharf. The owner had a meagre but satisfying breakfast option menu which she said is what she likes if she were in a BnB. This was great for our needs.
All the restaurants at Ullapool were booked out in advance with only two Fish and Chip shops available for take away. We took our fish and chips back to the accomodation and ate outside watching the sunset and porpoises jumping from the water below. Before we had even left the owner rubbed out my name on the entry bill board and written in the next customer ( 9am on the day of departure).

The generous hospitality of the host Mairi. She generously shared her home with us. The cooked breakfast was promptly served at the appointed time. And what a generous breakfast it was. The location of the home was great not too close to the town of Ullapool. Mairi generously offered to help get our car back on the road when she assisted me to clear the accumulated snow off the windscreen.
The water pressure could have been stronger, also the temperature control could have been better. But this was trivial considering the accepting nature of the owner.

Mairi was a kind and attentive host. The room was spacious and the interior was very cute and the atmosphere was homely. We watched the sunset from the terrace, but the view from our window was equally superb. The brekfast that Mairi served in our room was delicious. We were a bit sad that we only spent one night at Croft No. 8, but it was the perfect place to rest after an exhausting hike. The whole area seems very tranquil and idyllic.
Nothing!

A lovely clean and well appointed room with a very very gorgeously comfortable bed and a beautiful view. The breakfasts were delicious and filling, but I have to give a shout out for the poached eggs on granary toast…. Delicious…Nearly as good as my Mam’s..(Well done Mairi, that’s not a compliment I give lightly). Croft 8 is a place I will be returning to.

Croft No.8 is absolutely beautiful, warm, cosy and has a stunning view. It's convenient to the town centre, especially with a car. Mairi is friendly and helpful, and has a wealth of knowledge, especially about places to visit in Scotland. The kettle and milk fridge were very helpful. I wish I'd had more time to enjoy this place, and the bright stars at night.

This is a great location, just outside of Ullapool. The room was large and spacious, it included a mini fridge and microwave. The views are breathtaking over the loch. Mairi was a lovely host, breakfast is provided direct to your room, lots of choice - poached eggs cooked to perfection! Highly recommend.
Nothing - apart from only booking one night!

A really lovely property, clean and airy with great facilities. Marie was a great host and served a lovely breakfast in our room while looking out over Loch Broom. Great location for Ullapool and the surrounding area. Would definitely go back.
Nothing really, the postcode given by Booking.com takes you further down the road to turn into Croft 17 when coming from the North but Croft No. 8 is really easy to spot.

Had a wonderful stay here. Very friendly and welcoming host, and a beautiful home. Views across the water to the neighboring hills, and the room is spacious, comfortable, and nicely decorated. Comfy bed, and really good breakfast in the morning. Wish we stayed here longer!
The wifi would sometimes be hard to connect to, but this wasn’t a big issue for us
