The location was fine. The bed was comfortable. Staff were fine as was the breakfast.

I have stayed here before and the recent “improved” room was a little better than before . However it was already showing signs of wear modern furnishings starting to fall apart unable to cope with the public . The most expensive night for me on this trip and by far the least rewarding . A VERY small amount of soap in bathroom. No real means of being able to keep their tea/coffee bis & bobs tidy -a tray to catch splashes lay a spoon or whatever. I did not arrive for a view but there was not one anyway, so for the most expensive night on my trip around the north of Scotland quite disappointing. I did not see any unsugared cereal at breakfast. The bar closed before others in the village!

The staff were fantastic from reception to restaurant, breakfast and bar. Absolute perfection, made me feel like a guest on a 5 star place. I've been getting treated for cancer so had the accessibility room which was perfect for me.

The only downside was the shower lacked a bit of power and the breakfast lacked a bit of punch. The selection at the breakfast bar wasn't quite in keeping with the quality of the people. It was February and so I guess there's a bit more economy about the food as it was fairly quiet. I didn't eat in the evening so I can't comment on the rest of the food but it did jar a wee bit as it did feel 5 star in many respects but simple things like type of bread or quality of coffee machine, undrinkable in my humble opinion, but tea was absolutely fine for me. My poached eggs were delicious so no complaints as I found something that I enjoyed.just a wee bit surprised.

Central location easy access to all amenities - majority of staff are v pleasant and welcoming Hotel is clean , bedroom is very clean

1-Rip off price - over £200 per night b&b with facilities that don’t match the price point overall, the pricing technique applied doesn’t attract repeat business , unless you are gunning for 1 night stays! 2-No storage for clothes in room unless you are travelling with 1 shirt 3-no hook on bathroom door to hang a towel either 4-Booked for 845 for breakfast - so they know you are coming :- cold eggs , hardly any beans left , pastry counter? Empty … ( so why did you ask me to book), cold bacon, cold sausages… 5-Day2- not on the Bfast sheet - did you book ? ( I was asked) and like it truly really matters what with only 7 guests sitting in a restaurant that holds 150 seats ! Go figure. And as for the quality- same as previous day.

Booked this room through booking.com then discovered that it would be cheaper on Trivago. When I emailed the hotel they said they couldn't/wouldn't do anything to recover the difference. Hotel itself is in a good location, and is clean and comfortable. We booked on a room only basis so can't comment on the breakfast. There is a lovely delivery just along the street that does nice bacon sandwiches and fresh latte.

Nothing really. On arrival my husband and I were soggy bikers and we're told that our room wouldn't be ready until 4, but we could sit and wait in the foyer. So we had to open our luggage in the foyer to get out dry clothes and change in the toilets. However the receptionist did let us know when our room was ready a little earlier than previously stated.

The hotel had clearly been extensively modernised recently and this had been thoughtfully done. The room was very good and the en-suite bathroom was excellent. As a comment rather than a criticism, the pillows could have been softer and the duvet as large as its cover. The breakfast was outstanding, but another minor comment would be that the choice of breads was limited to sliced brown or white with nothing more varied or unsliced. There was ample car parking space right behind the hotel with a convenient rear entrance to the reception area and some rooms. There were several electrical hook-ups for EVs. The location was ideal, on a quiet street, but only 2 or 3 minutes walk from the centre of the village and the harbour. The staff were very friendly and helpful.

There was nothing to dislike.

Insane location, literally couldn’t ask for better. My room didn’t have a crazy good view but some rooms obviously have dream views but either way you are second walk from the water and the incredible Seafood Shack. Rooms were small but clean and modern, with everything you need (including a fan!). Great big bar, restaurant and cafe and a part of the building so don’t need to leave if needed. Good parking.

Room noise privacy is non-existent. You can hear everything happening right outside your door and I imagine vice versa. I could hear someone snoring and the noise was travelling in to my room so loud I could hear it with ear plugs in. I was a solo traveller so the following was not an issue but a warning to couples travelling who may have intimate moments as they will be heard by others. Sink was comically small, issue but water gets everywhere when using it. Back was sore after sleeping but unsure if that was from the bed or the 15 hours of driving I have done in the last two days so can’t blame it too much.

room good with excellent disabled facilities for a shower. poor is the evening meal, not the food or staff but the additional charge for a tip wiyhout any notification. if i wish to tip that is my decision not the hotels. i haave booked for my return trip but in future will eat eleswhere.

see above - openness and clarity. also i booked via booking.com whose advice is a friendly hotel for pets insinuating that they where taking care of all issues when in fact they were only confirming you accept pets and do not even note the charge that will be made. openness and clarity - fail

The rooms were really lovely, very cosy, with super comfortable beds. The shower was great and the shower gels and shampoo were a nice addition. Unfortunately, the cooked breakfast I had in the morning was very sadly quite bad - none of the items seemed fresh, some items on the plate were cold and I sadly couldn't eat it. Hopefully this will improve as the hotel is in such a nice spot and I did have a lovely stay - the staff members were very attentive and super nice. Thank you for a lovely stay.

Room clean and comfortable, breakfast good, good location for the ferry

Booked a table in restaurant and on arrival asked if we could move the booking forward an hour as we had traveled 5 hours and were tired. They said fine but when we went to restaurant they said it was fully booked and gave us a table in the bar next to a table of very noisy guys out for a pint (no issue with them, what do you expect in a bar) but we were hoping for a quiet meal as a couple on my birthday. Food was fine but noticed the whole time we were eating that the restaurant was 30% full

The hotel met my expectations perfectly. I had an early ferry to catch and it is in the perfect location. Dinner the night before more than met my needs after the journey north. The breakfast was great. The staff were very helpful responding to questions.

It was not very busy so there was not much of a buzz. But I arrived gone 20.00 and left early and it was toward the end of November and there was ice and snow.
