There is plenty of car parking space on arrival , key your reg in so don't have to pay anything , receptionist very friendly , room was large , with large bathroom with bath and shower, very comfortable bed , 2 chairs loads of mirrors , breakfast , plenty to choice , evening meal delicious , I stayed 2 nights , had the beef and ale pie absolutely delicious , with chips and vegetables , I was stuffed . 2 Nd night had chicken which It as also delicious .

The staff were helpful and friendly and accomodating. The breakfast was lovely - there's a good choice of foods and the coffee is good. There was a young lad working the breakfast called Henry - he was exceptionally polite, a very good waiter. Also, the food in the restaurant is very good (I recommend the pie). All in all, a lovely hotel with lots of character, nicely presented and friendly staff to welcome you in and make your stay comfortable.

The bathroom was a bit tatty and the carpet needs a good clean/replacing because it's looking tired.

The breakfast was very good and varied. Room was warm and comfortable but window difficult to open. Bathroom is very nice with a good shower. The only disadvantage is that there are alot of stairs to climb if you have heavy luggage. It is awkward to ask a cleaner to help especially if it is a woman and they are of course busy.

It is a great shame that there seems to be a shortage of staff as with other hospitality hotels and Bed and Breakfast. We thought there might have been lunch on offer and/or dinner in the evening. The directions as to how to find the hotel could be made clearer.

Our stay was good. The location was just perfect as we had a wedding nearby. The reception staff were helpful and friendly. The only downside was that we could not use the over the tub shower, we had hot water to the bath but only cold came from the shower. We had a friend in another room who also experienced a similar issue. I’m sure if we had more time the staff would have resolved.

The room was and bathroom were very clean. The decor was tasteful. The large bed was very comfortable. The staff were very friendly and gave me assistance when needed which was very much appreciated. .The hotel was quiete and peaceful. It was an overall good experience and would defiently return.

A suggestion to make a fire in the large fireplace in the winter. It would make the entrance way cosy and enviting in the evenings.

Facilities have improved each time we have visited. Staff are the biggest asset to the hotel. As I am getting a little more restricted in mobility, the stairs this time were a problem so will enquire a little differently re room location next time. Bed was comfy for me, too soft for my husband. Family visited for breakfast with us and staff were more than accommodating. Reception area very cosy for a change of scenery

The staff are great. Friendly, professional and very accommodating. Tasty cooked breakfast and plenty of it! I had a double room, it was big, clean and the bed was comfortable. Tea and coffee facilities in the room. Perfect location for the train station, its less than 5 minutes walk. And I forgot my toothbrush, so really pleased there was a close by convenience store to sort that out.

The room was perfect for a one night stay though could do with a little tidying up in terms of broken glass in windows. Though for the price paid it was a comfy, large, clean room. I would definitely stay again. It's not a five star hotel and the prices are reasonable for this world, so don't expect perfect. What you can expect is a great team of people, lots of food and a comfy bed.

Like the location near to the centre of Alton and free car parking was very handy. Room was good with decent facilities and nice and clean. Staff friendly and helpful.

Breakfast was fine but was a little overcooked; it seemed like ingredients had been cooked then kept warm for a period of time which meant they had become slightly tough and overcooked.

Staff were really friendly and helpful. The room (triple room) was great with very comfortable beds. Great location with quiet room and close to places to eat as the hotel restaurant was closed on the day we stayed.

The breakfast felt a little dated with tinned fruit and boxed cereals, but perhaps that's just typical of hotels in the area. No biggie.

The room was spacious, light, comfortable, and fresh/clean - had everything we needed. We liked the consideration of the climate message. The staff were lovely - very helpful and accommodating despite being busy with some functions going on; we didn't feel neglected at all and appreciated the attention given to us. Breakfast was great, too, with plenty of options.

Have nothing bad to say - thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
