Room was up to date and larger than expected. It had enough outlets for our needs. Staff were very nice and responsive to our needs including providing gluten free bread for my wife and a special toaster. Provided a fan when it got warmer. Fixed a broken shower hose immediately. We felt very welcomed even with occasional language barriers.

Parking was sometimes challenging, but we were there during Easter holiday season. No AC, so it would have been harder to stay comfortable if it was later in the year even with the fan, and there may not have been enough of those to go around for all guests.

It looks really nice, new and modern. The rooms are big, with plenty of storage space, and the bathroom is new, clean, good ventilation, with a big modern shower and well isolated (sound wise) from the rest of the room. Even taking a shower would not make that much sound in the room. The room also has blinders. The staff is friendly, responsive and english speaking. My wife enjoyed very much one of the multiple cheese assortments (with nuts and honey) at breakfast. 10 minutes walking to the old city, with a supermarket and a bakery near by (2 minutes). On the way to the city there are other supermarkets and bakeries you can stock-up at.

Our room was on the street side, and during week days, after 6AM, there is a lot of heavy traffic - you could hear the trucks, even with ear plugs. The headboard of the bed was made of some synthetic material that smelled like plastic, I could smell it on the pillow as well.

Hotel Merian Rothenburg is a charming hotel in a beautiful historic building, but the rooms inside have been nicely renovated and updated. There’s no air conditioning, but when we stayed, the evening weather was cool and pleasant. A fan was provided in the room, though we didn’t need to use it. The hotel is located just a short 10-minute walk from the old town, which was very manageable. It’s a great choice for those traveling by car, as there’s free parking available. The breakfast was also excellent, with a wide variety of options.

Exactly the same as the pictures. Great breakfast, great staff. Not too far from the old town. Parking is convenient, just make sure the place you park belongs to the hotel. Super good with the elevator!

The hair dryer was broken, luckily the receptionist hasn't got off work and we got a replaced one. The furniture in the room is old but acceptable, as long as the cleaning is reliable.

Very charming hotel with friendly staff. The breakfast is super good, with homemade jelly’s which were delicious. As we were in a big group (8 people), they have prepared us a table so we all sit together. Rooms are also very cozy and they have a balcony in which you can also relax outside. Hotel is outside city walls but only a 10-minute walk from the center. Also, the lady from front desk also allowed us to leave our luggage there as we would just leave around noon.

No complaints about the property.

I don’t speak german. Staff spoked to me only in German. It was hard to communicate. But when two men from skandinavia come, miraculously at breakfast they there understood and spoke English. I think it’s not very polite of them. It doesn’t matter that I am from Estonia and Eastern Europe. Hotel staff shouldn’t make differences, I think.

Located on the edge of the old town, easily to find driving to town. The staff were very friendly … the room was neat & tidy. Closely located to a service station with an expensive subway… we left before breakfast so didn’t get to experience it.

The breakfast was very good. There were both hot and cold foods with plenty of beverage choices. The coffee and lattes were very good. The service was prompt, friendly and not rushed. Your breakfast table is already for you when you enter the dining room. The hotel is quiet with comfortable beds. The staff is very helpful.

As I also mentioned to the owners, it was one of the best hotel experiences we ever had. Everyone was more than polite, everything was crystal clear, location is perfect & breakfast was tasty, (they even fried eggs for us) with plenty of fresh choices.

Staff welcoming and friendly. Our room was ready ahead of time which was great. Comfortable room, spotless bathroom and quiet convenient location not far from the station and also the old town. An excellent breakfast with a good variety and nicely presented breakfast room.

Generally clean room but the curtains were dusty and dirty (needed to be moved to access the window and balcony) which was a pity as everything else was good.
