The chef in the evening, who also handled the check-in due to a shortage of staff, was very friendly and helpful. The dinner was very good, although the waitress could have needed more help from another person. The treatment with our dog was very friendly. Very nice british guests too. The history of the hotel is interesting. We had a very good room. Do not take standard rooms but supreme rooms in the first floor and you will be glad. The dinner menue is 59 Euros at least, reservation needed.
The morning service staff were completely disengaged and did not look after their guests. Boiled eggs were available on request after 20 minutes preparing time. Then we were given 8 cooked eggs on the table in a basket! No egg holders ... We then returned 6 of these eggs to the buffet. There was no honey for breakfast. The rubber seals in the showers urgently need replacing due to dirt and mould. The water basin in the garden was no longer attractive. The standing water should be replaced by moving water and should be changed and cleaned more often. The atmosphere in the hotel was a little strange as there was not enough staff on site.

Such an amazing chateau. The building was steeped with history and was simply beautiful. As you step through the gates you really can appreciate the grandeur of the chateau. The owners were very welcoming and couldn't do more for us. We ate at the restaurant which was more expensive than we're used to but delicious. The room was a bit dated and wasn't quite as spectacular as the rest of the building, but it was one of their more affordable rooms so couldn't complain. We would definitely recommend this chateau.
Room was a bit dated but a great size and had a roll top bath.

Just a beautiful spot looking over a spectacular countryside
There was a great sense of history there. Even though it was end of season, the peaceful nature of the countryside was really wonderful. We will be back. Our host, Fabien, went above and beyond to make us welcome and give us great local knowledge of what to see. His enthusiasm in explaining the history of the property was great to behold. He filled in as the Chef for the evening and served us a truly memorable meal. We loved our stay

a deep appreciation for nature and the historical beauty of castles, perhaps evoking a sense of nostalgia. There’s something truly special about walking through the woods, surrounded by the tranquility of nature, and stumbling upon a majestic castle that has stood the test of time. The combination of nature and history creates a serene and timeless experience, allowing one to connect with the past while enjoying the present. It’s beautiful indeed, a perfect blend of peace, beauty, and a touch of the past.

Wonderful place - a truly unique experience ! We booked the suite which was very comfortable , beautiful room and large bathroom. We had dinner int he castle , excellent service, the lady who took care of us was very polite and knowledgeable regarding wine and food. Beautiful experience as we travel with out dog, not many places like this accept pets, but here the director was very sweet and allowed us to enjoy our stay with our furry friend :) Definitely recommended!!

I liked the armchair in my room to relax in and also the library was good for relaxing too. Atmosphere was very good. Dining room is vaulted and wonderful to be in. Wonderful views - would have been great to sit outside if the weather had been suitable Shown the facilities and how to work the heating in the bedroom No television
No table to put my computer on - had to have it on my lap when sitting in the armchair. Food came too quickly after the aperitif so no time to enjoy the aperitif. Hot milk at breakfast was tepid so not so good for a hot chocolate! Although down well in time I was the last for breakfast and some items could have been better topped up. Not shown how to work heater in bathroom

Beautiful place and location
The furniture, the bed cover and pillows were very worn off and needed cleaning since a long time. Because they used to be beige in their previous life it was very noticeable. You could hear all the noises from the other rooms, including flashing the toilets and night. Breakfast was very limited. We were there at 9:00 and everything was eaten up already-no cheese, no baget, no any kind of vegetables or fruits, no hot water for tea.

This is all about location and dwelling in luxury and history! The chateau on the hill is a private place, many tourists walk up to the gate to find that there is no access for them to the grounds... guests only! Once inside, the castle itself and especially the fantastic view is strikingly beautiful. From the courtyard you overlook the landside below to far, far away. Just spectacular. The rooms are fair sized and comfortable. A decent breakfast is (buffet style) is served in a pleasant setting in the tower room. We missed dinner, but that looked superb too. Okay, it may be a bit pricy, but for us it was well worth the wonderful experience. Oh, and don't forget to stroll through the pittoresque village, just lovely!
The chateau is also - and rightfully so! - a popular wedding location. When such events take place, that might affect the experience for individual travellers.

A beautiful old Chateau set high up above the surrounding area. nice well kept gardens to relax in, great food and some nice rooms like the library to relax in. Full of charm and history with great staff who obviously love the place too. There is a tour for all guests. Fantastic that dogs are welcome and there’s a small pet shop in the village. We had a suite and our 4 year old slept so well in her separate room. The roll top bath was enormous!
The food was fantastic but a little too nice for a four year’s old palette. the kids menu is slightly too nice that it was too much for little kids, who sadly like chicken nuggets and fries! Bring snacks if you have kids!
