Location and clean. Very comfortable bed. Breakfast was very good.

Why, as a guest, did we have to pay to park our car. The cost of the room becomes inflated as the management tries and gets as much money out of you as possible.

Location is excellent. A very short walk to restaurants, shops, etc. Hotel is clean and extremely nice. The staff is top notch, friendly, and very helpful. I dropped an important piece of jewelry in the room and accidentally left it behind after check-out (entirely my fault). Even after my stay ended the staff was very quick to respond to messages and even performed multiple checks for me to find what I left behind and did not stop until everything was found. The level of care I experienced when it was something that was entirely my fault was incredible. I hope to be back in the area one day and will definitely look to stay at Les Jardins du Mess. Definitely recommend staying here.

Location In the centre of town, right next to the Tourist Bureau with a beautiful view of River Meuse. Walking distance to lots of restaurants and shopping districts. The Junior Suite room Incredibly comfortable, great beds. Amazing bathroom... the best bathtub ever. It was great to soak in after walking the battlefields, sipping a glass of wine. Breakfast High quality produce. The creamiest, softest scrambled eggs... delicious. Staff Lilian and Esteban, on the front desk, were brilliant. Extremely friendly, genuine, and highly professional.

We enjoyed: a good breakfast; a comfortable room; and an excellent location, being just across the river from the town. This gave us all the advantages of a central location without the drawbacks. That meant easy parking in an exclusive enclosure, and a quiet location in a nice, quiet neighbourhood. The helpful and friendly staff gladly assisted us with our needs.

Quite honestly, we would have liked a restaurant on site: but there were plenty of choices nearby, although they tended to be rather rustic in their offerings. The staff would gladly advise the best places to go.

Location. Riverside and central. Easy walk to restaurants, attractions and shops. Clean comfortable room with large bathroom and small balcony overlooking the river. Pleasant, helpful staff.

Noise: Busy road during the day, and through the night from bin men other municipal workers. The party boat on the river outside wasn't open during our stay (Sunday and Monday) but I imagine it could be pretty lively at weekends. Breakfast could have been better for the cost, not a great selection on offer. We had a much better breakfast at the Ibis en route. Also, although it was buffet style, there were no additional plates so one small plate had to be used for everything, which was hard to juggle. Hotel parking was pricey.

A hotel that looks old on the outside but feels modern on the inside. On the banks of the river, right in the heart of Verdun, the hotel has its own secure parking onsite. Bedrooms are of a good size and offer air conditioning and quality fittings and fixtures. Rooms are very soundproofed and with windows shut you couldn’t even hear the morning church bells. The restaurant was shut but we were able to find eateries in the town so this was not an issue for us. Breakfast was of a good quality.

Its the perfect stop off for us on route to Austria or from Austria to uk. Its clean, central, has parking and is dog friendly. Staff are very friendly too. Its clean and the rooms are comfortable. Bathroom v good too. Easy access with lift to all levels too. Great garden closed off at rear so great if you are travelling with a dog.

Verdun is a pretty town and the hotel is very central but all the restaurants shut at 9 9.30pm so its extremely quiet and impossible to eat if you arrive after 8pm. The restaurant in the hotel is mostly shut. While the price seems reasonable once you add breakfast parking and extra fees for dogs it knocks the price up by €60 for the double room. Pillows are too big and uncomfortable.

The reception! Sebastian...the King of Service! we came from another lousy booked place (Booking.com some times does not reflect reality) to booking this place (sometimes Booking.com is spot on)...and we were happy again...quite important as a couple. Sebastian booked dinner for us at a restaurant nearby (and it was the first day for the new chef!). Fantastic, so much that we live 2000 km away and want to come back for the weekend!

if you do not speak French it is difficult to find how to access the parking of the hotel...So please call the reception and they will help you

We were extremely pleased that we were able to park our car in a locked up area. With reference to room, lo room and location I would refer you to me previous comment. Ref breakfast, being a weekend it was later than we wished. It was served in a nice clean room with an extensive buffet. I particularly enjoyed the freshly cut up fruit, my husband found the bacon not cooked enough and not very nice. The croissants weren't freshly baked, however the bread was nice and fresh.

Please read my previous comment about the lack of restaurants. This time we went for a longer walk, but obviously still in the wrong area. We couldn't find anywhere to eat and ended up getting a croque savoyard from a bakery that was just going to close. It was heated up for us and we ate it in the hotel. The lack of restaurants nearby and the lack of accurate information where they are is not good.

This is a very comfortable hotel and ideally located for I and my wife en route back from Switzerland to the Channel Tunnel. Breakfast although extra was of a high quality. There was also secure parking which is always a comfort.

We had hoped to have dinner at the hotel but the dining room was closed . That said the hotel did manage to book us into a restaurant in the centre of town which turned out to be something of a find!
