The location and price are very good.

Our sink backed up with each use. A couple of times the toilet seemed like it was going to overflow. The AC unit didn't seem to keep the humidity out of the room. I was disappointed that the room I thought I was getting online from the description, etc. , which I thought had a sofa and coffee table, was not the same, as this room did not. We had stayed in that particular room before and so expected so I was disappointed.

It’s a very easy walk to downtown Blowing Rock. The room had everything that we needed and our little dog loved rolling in all the nice grass around the property. The very nice person who checked us in called a few hours later to make sure we were happy with everything.

The AC unit was a bit loud. We opened the windows and the room stayed very comfortable. It was fine.

Nice clean town. Easy walking distance to a lot of restaurants, coffee shops, etc. A supermarket is about a mile away. The room (115) was quiet and had a full kitchen with enough cookware, dishes and silverware for most needs. This room had we wanted—more than the usual hotel room—more like an Airbnb. The fold-down sofa is kid-sized (short). There is a gas log fireplace which does a good job of warming the front room. The washer/dryer was appreciated during our week long stay. Parking is right in front of the door.

After 6 nights you notice things. I like to make bread so I’d add a mixing bowl to the kitchen utensils (I used a pot). The ironing board needs to be replaced. The front door should be updated with a new weather seal.

The host was very knowledgeable about the area with recommendations on where to check out and places to see.

Wish we had some sort of utensils as we got back late and food wasn't served at the local restaurants we no longer serving that we could find. So had a microwave dinner before heading to bed

The room and front poach was NICE. Location was perfect, close enough to walk to several places.

The TV service, when you turn on the TV, it says 'no connection', even when you click on Spectrum option, so I had to click the 'watch free' option. Shouldn't be so complicated to watch TV.

there was nothing extravagant about the place which was not what the wife and I wanted. it was perfect location. the room was very clean and cozy. definitely am going to stay again. hospitality was awsome. we left the dvd player on all night in the truck it killed the battery. the manager drove from another location to give us a jump. Definitely will stay again

the back window view was a cinder block wall. not abig deal at all. by no means is it a deal breaker

The location was very convenient to App State. We were thrilled that it was pet friendly. Even though pets were allowed, there was no offensive smells from past animals nor were there any stains.

Nothing to report. An elevator would be a bonus but not necessary.

While property is older it has been kept up and our room looked like it had been renovated. Loved being able to walk up the hill to shop and eat in Blowing Rock. The shower was wonderful. Hot with lots of pressure!

Nothing I can think of. Was a nice clean place to stay.

Staff was very nice! And locations is accessible are most of the places are close by.

Blankets had a lot of hair like hair from past guesses/visitor. Like when you wash and dry them and the hair from your cloth just got in your frannel blankets

Love the Boxwood! An older place, but brilliantly located and always super comfortable. Daughter goes to App and Boxwood is my always stay when I visit.

The place is not a 5 star resort. If you want that, go somewhere else.
