I liked having an extra living room. The building and amenities were very nice. The staff was very helpful and friendly. Housekeeping provided us with clean linens during the week. It was very quiet and peaceful - just what we needed to get a good vacation Thank you for a lovely time.
Fireplace in Liv Rm did not work. The staff tried to fix a number of times. It would light for a while, then go out. I wanted to make a cup of coffee in the lobby but could find no coffee maker.

Nice, beautiful old charm Inn- former old time family estates with beautiful outdoor and view. Kind of drive deep in a Mountains but worth it as a view is beautiful along the way, Rhododendrons in full bloom along the way in July - the time of our trip to Blue Ridge Mountains, though would avoid to drive at night in a dark , as deer are there! Staff is friendly. it was very quiet , seemed the only few quests were there. Rooms -clean, linens -fresh and bed was pretty comfortable- it was nice sleep. Restaurant is on site but open just for Th-Sun and closed for the rest of the week. Unfortunately it is no any food station available on a site, even no vending machine. Also no fridge , no microwave in a room- a little bit inconvenient , so get some snack ready upon arriving or so. Continental breakfast was very limited like "bag and go"- seems they are still under covid19 precautions and shortage of staff. I would also wanted to mention the thing that disappointed the most that the back door leads to our hallway/room location was never locked and it was open even at night time. Despite it is very quiet and I strongly believe is safe location I would bring management attention to it and the back door should be locked with key code available for guests. Other than that it was great stay for me and my husband and we did enjoy it! Would like to come back some day and hope the management will make some changes by that time.
back door entrance never locked and stay open all the time even at night time. no microwave/fridge in a room. very limited continental breakfast.

I love the location, the view, the peace and quite. The place has lots of charm. Very comfortable bed and nice decor. Much more private than a chain motel in town would be.
I feel like this place needs to have an ice machine available to the guest instead of having the staff fill an ice bucket. Also either upgrade the door locks to a card or install deadbolt locks. Finally lighting in the bathroom is not bright enough for ladies to apply their makeup. Fortunately I brought my own lighted makeup mirror.

Loved the location and the grounds were beautiful on the back side of the inn. The restaurant was great for dinner one night! We enjoyed a beautiful sunset!!
Breakfast options were very skimpy...maybe not offer it at all so guests wouldn't expect a standard continental breakfast. The towels were not soft at all...not what you expect at a place that has a spa. Construction was going on and we were not informed beforehand.

The grounds, location. Our room overlooked the tree tops it felt like we were sleeping in a tree house. It was clean, and beds were comfy. The restaurant food was very good, loved the charming atmosphere. The bartender made a great Old Fashion. The sunset view was nice. Would definitely stay again. We stayed for the Grandfather Mtn. Highland games.
Our first room assignment was down 2 flights of stairs beside the smoking porch 😞. Fortunately, the front desk was willing to change us to a ground level entrance. The Inn could use a bit of TLC.

Beautiful an welcoming. We enjoyed sitting in the Adirondack chairs on the porch, while sipping the wine we brought with us and having good conversations. The Hosts were exceptional, and Molly’s breakfast was more than a gracious plenty with homemade pastries, juice, coffee, a yummy breakfast casserole, and more.
Sound carried easily through the wood structure walls, but I still slept well with my ear plugs.

Nice room, very pleasant staff. Totally refurbished bathroom. Up in the mountains, a very nice view of the valley.
The walls were not soundproof. We could hear the T.V. in the other room. Also heard talking, albeit muffled. Renovation being done to the entrance way of our room. It is off season and prime time to do repairs and upgrades.

I loved the location of this hotel, the view was beautiful from dusk to dawn, you could see all the mountains from up top and it was really close to the Sugar Mountain Ski resort and the little village with all the gift shops and restaurants and bars.

The room and the view were quite nice. The staff were outstanding.
Due the recent hurricane the pool and the other amenities, including the spa, sauna, were not available which was unfortunate. Disappointingly, the fireplace in our room did not work, which was a bummer.
