Location excellent, staff friendly, welcoming and there to please guest/s Room very warm and inviting. Had all the comforts of home. Felt totally safe and secure. Will gladly stay there again.

I was disappointed not necessarily with Judges Pool Motel, but rather with Booking.com. The stay was advertised for the cost of $83 for one night. However I was charged $138. Misleading advertising. I didn't mind paying however I'm not sure I would have chosen to book there. Nonetheless I enjoyed my stay and will stay there again

We enjoyed our stay at this older motel. A good layout with covered entry and a sheltered outdoor seating area at the rear. Generous bench space for meal preparation. A missing coffee plunger quickly replaced.

I was a little surprised to find the fridge turned off on arrival, leaving our groceries to languish for some time. The electric frypan had a fault in its thermostat rendering it almost useless and one of the bed lamps was broken.

Amazing staff, very friendly and helpful. Room felt spotless, probably the cleanest motel I have ever stayed at. Good location, close to Taupo and especially if you are doing the Tongariro Alpine Crossing, about 30min drive to the carpark. Has a full kitchen set up, great water pressure. Very calm and serene location. Stayed there for three nights and enjoyed all three of them.

Clean and comfortable room, I like that the room was nice and warm on my late arrival due to heat pump turned on

Left milk jug clean & empty on sideboard by coffee to be refilled when they cleaned room, only to arrive back late after day of exploring to find it hadn't been refilled so had to pop down to gas station for small bottle for tea & coffee

Nice and quiet location, tea and coffee provided, spacious room, cute small patio, great beddings

We saw no pools in there 🤷‍♀️ The shower splashes to melamine walls of the vanity and shower gets flooded quite quickly. Before sunrise noise of the birds running all over the roof can be perfectly heard but it’s actually not an issue for us.

Clean room, bed, kitchen, and dishes. AC works fine. The heated sheet was useful at cold night. Good balcony to have breakfast. Good stop after Tongariro alpine crossing, as it is too far to drive to Taupo after the hike.

Old and not very comfortable toilet and shower. Price is high, but it is normal for that region

Peaceful location close to the Tongariro River but off the main road, but also not far from Turangi township. A traditional motel at which the unit was very clean and well-equipped. Friendly owners who are busy refurbishing. Small deck area at the back of the unit is a nice addition.

Everything you needed for a single person. Two people would be fine as well if you like the bed against the wall. Only problem I found was I couldn't easily reach the Hooks for hanging coats or the towel. Maybe small plastic stool would help. Staff very helpful. Shower excellent size

The proprietors of this property are exceedingly pleasant and always very accommodating. It is extremely clean and comfortable. The room had been rearranged for comment. The cabins are tiny, but perfect for a one nite stay. For a senior travelling alone, it feels very safe.

A wee microwave and may be a couple of plates with cutlery.

I stayed in a cosy little house for one person. It was deliciously quiet, with birds everywhere. Very close to the Tongariro River Trail and fishing pools. The centre of town is a 10 minute walk. Very friendly and helpful owners.

The only thing I missed was a comfortable chair to sit outside.
