The reception we received was exceptional. Our hosts have a wonderful home with an outstanding view of the lake, There was an unexpected generous cold plate of cheese in our room fridge which was really appreciated after a long drive. The breakfast which loosely could have been called continental was an imaginative range of cold dishes which would not have looked out of place in a 5 star hotel,

Local planning laws prevent the installation of any significant signs to guide the weary visitor to this oasis of calm. It was very easy to drive past, domestic sized house names located at pavement level. Sat Nav of the highest quality is a must.

On arrival we were well informed by Lizz about the B&B and what to do in the area. Lizz was also available for a chat about life in New Zealand (of course also about items) The rooms were excellent (even better than expected based on the information we found on the internet) The breakfast (musly, cereals, fruit, fresh fruit juice, sandwiches) was excellent and sufficient. In the evening you could have a hot dinner upon request. The location was excellent for our trips to Rotorua and to Tongarino national parcs

Liz and Steve were absolutely great hosts. Always up for a chat and great with ideas as to what would be worth a look and guidance in what we could do. The attentention to detail of the place was great and the room we stayed in (4) was lovely. The place was always clean and well made up every day. We stayed for 5 nights.

Great location. Peaceful with great views, but close enough to town to pop in for lunch, dinner, shopping. Steve and Liz were great hosts. Room came with all needed amenities and extras like charcuterie and chocolate provided.

Breakfast could use a protein option like eggs or bacon.

It was home from home, you wanted for nothing! Everything you could possibly want was accommodated for, which made our stay relaxing and comfortable. The lodge was set in beautiful grounds with an amazing view of the lake. The accommodation was perfect in every way.

Exceptional Boutique high end property outstanding attention to detail around the accommodation & with the ensuite bedrooms. Luxury & comfort combined. The Evenjng meal we booked was one of the best we have ever had. We wish we could have stayed longer. Thank you Liz & Steve. We will certainly be back.

Elegance, Peace, Serenity and Charm. What a delightful experience! Beautiful garden setting, elegant decor, spacious room, warm and friendly welcome, including a delicious surprise cheese platter (thank you!), lovely outlook into the garden and view of the lake from the room and a marvelous breakfast each morning. We both said "Wow" when we turned into the driveway the first time and felt spoiled throughout our stay. This was our "special treat" accommodation on this trip and we couldn't have been happier.

Everything, was beautifully decorated, clean, comfortable and had stunning views. The hosts were so friendly and welcoming. Breakfast was delicious. They also did a laundry service which was such a lovely extra.

Location was very good and the property very well maintained. Our hosts were extremely welcoming and our accommodation was excellent. Attention to detail was evident.

Breakfast was good but limited choice. I would have preferred the option of a cooked breakfast albeit a simple one.

Pretty colonial style boutique b n b / hotel with great views over lake. Large comfortable rooms, well equipped. Unexpected cheese platter with biscuits provided as extra from hosts.

Quite a way from the main town, but that gives it a peaceful and quiet location
