Friendly place with a very good atmosphere. You can borrow a bike for free or rent a well maintained scooter for 250 Baht/day. They can also organize Thai massage in your room. The owners and staff were very kind, and always helpful with taxi bookings and sharing information. Good place to stay if you have activities planned during the day and only spend the nights there. Owner Kay is a master judo teacher, you can book a class with her when she is in residence, but she is frequently absent. If judo is important for you, check her availability before planning your stay (I missed it because during my 6 days stay, she was only available one early morning)

If you want a place to hang out and relax during the day, this is not ideal. The property consists of a building with adjoining rooms, each with a small terrace facing the parking lot. The window also faces the parking lot so I drew the curtains most of the time. As everything is close together there is little privacy, and you can hear animated discussions of your next door neighbors through the walls (though most guests are peaceful and quiet, I had noisy neighbors only one night). The terraces get hot during the day when the sun hits them. There is no common area except the somewhat cramped breakfast area, so no place to sit and relax during the day.

Super good staff and good location in a calm area but not so far from anything. Rent a scooter and enjoy a calm and peacefull evening after a full and exciting day. Like a sanctuary in this town. A tip is to spend the evening with food and a drink by chiang rai river beach https://maps.app.goo.gl/Yi6QPZKgH9NFiJBC6 where you go by scooter and sit down in the bambo huts by the riverside. Just catch attention from the business owners up the sloope and order som food and drinks and see the river float by while the night comes. Then return to Gitas house for recharge and a good nights sleep. Remember to visit the White and Blue tempel and Baan dam museum and the Oub kham museum.

Gita's House is a peaceful oasis. The gardens are beautiful and filled with birdsong and butterflies. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The rooms are large (a little spartan - could use some art), and you'll have everything you need at this guesthouse. The breakfast buffet, while not glamorous, is fresh and healthy and well balanced. The facilities and rooms are kept sparkling clean.

The bed was a little hard for my liking, but other guests said they were perfect. Could use more lights... especially over the bathroom mirror for a us shavers.

The property is located at peaceful location. The staffs are really nice people. The place is very safe, and it has beautiful garden. The weather was pleasant. We had chance to interact with Kay about laughter Yoga and connected well after knowing that she is learning about Thirumoolar Thirumanthiram (Tamil Poet). Definitely recommended to visit the property. The weekend and night market are walkable. If you have leisure day, you can read books.

No complaints. It was great place. Infact the people in Chiang Rai are all nice people. This place is complete opposite of Bangkok.

Gita's House is located in a quiet area but close to the centre of Chiang Rai. The staff were very friendly and helpful no matter what your needs are. Our room was spotless and cleaned well every day. The breakfast was suitable with fresh boiled eggs, bread, butter, jam, crackers, cereal, and fresh fruit with unlimited tea and coffee throughout the day. The room was equipped with a hairdryer, fridge, kettle, tea, coffee, glasses, fresh towels daily and shampoo, and shower gel. The shower area was spacious with good water pressure. I would highly recommend a stay here!

The staff were outstanding, went way beyond expectation to help. Good local advice, places to eat, and arranging transport. Nithinv was too much trouble for them. A calm, peaceful hotel. An adequate breakfast and also arranges local trips. Early morning yoga classes are also available. The rooms were very spacious and cleaned to a very high standard. A little way out from town centre, but bicycles are available fee of charge. The rooms gave a fridge, with free water. The iar condition is really good. Ideal for families and back oacking travellers. .

Truly amazing, the staff went way out of their way to help. When they saw I had a disability they helped more. They could not do enough to help have a really good time. Bike was available and used to go to a local restaurant. It is a little way outside of the town. 5 mins by bicycle. A nice peaceful and calming hotel with yoga sessio s available before breakfast. The rooms were very spacious even with an extra bed. A buffet breakfast is available with plenty on offer. It's definitely a hotel not to be missed.

10 out of 10 for Gita's house. The property exceeded my expectations; the room was spacious, clean, and well-decorated. It had a big bathroom and a great rain shower; the best thing was the comforter. It's so soft and just the right weight. I want to buy one for my house :D The staff were amicable; there's a lot of plants on the property, which made it feel lush and relaxed. I love the little front porch, which is perfect for chilling, putting on shoes, and waiting for the rest of my family to get ready! Recommend!

Everything was very good. The ambient of the place was very special. The breakfast was simple but decent. The people of the hotel very very helpful. The location was good and bad for the same reason, for being a bit away from the center of the town. It was in a very quiet area near the river. Something like a village. Nice and peaceful, but if someone wants the town should have a taxi (especially if raining).

A ceiling fan should be added in the room for those who don't like the a/c (I know we are few but we exist 😊)

A nice place in a good location with lots of attention to detail in a mostly ugly town where there are few better choices.

We rented the "bungalow", which was large and had everything we needed. The setup was weird, however, cobbled together from rooms which must have had different uses before. For example, the living room had a wall of windows giving directly onto the common area and only seating on the floor. It would be good to have a table and chairs and a comfortable armchair. Given the many foreign visitors this place gets it would also be good to have at least one staff member that speaks adequate English.
