the location is the best thing about this hotel, on the banks of the danube, literally a five minute walk from the center of the old town and about fifteen minutes from the castle called hrad. the rooms are modern, spacious and clean. the stay is safe because there is a police station across the street from the hotel :) Wi-fi is excellent in the rooms, breakfast is ok, nothing special but a good standard offer, and the hotel garage is also a good thing for those who come by car. there is a kettle in the room and free tea and coffee. very pleasant place...

everything was ok

Location couldn’t be better just a few mins walk to Old Town Centre and 1 minute from tram. Very modern hotel with large rooms comfortable bed very quiet and a great buffet breakfast in the mornings. Staff were very polite and friendly. It was just across the road from the main Police station too ! I will definitely stay at Hotel Avance upon my return to Bratislava. It was also excellent value for money.

- Very friendly staff. - Large and cosy room. - The breakfast buffet is delicious. - The location is right in the centre of the city, so all the tourist spots are easily accessible. - The hotel has its own garage, however, it takes some manoeuvring and driving skills to get in and out ;)

- The mattress in the sofa was worn out (springs could be felt) and needed to be replaced. - There were some minor utility problems, which, however, didn’t have any negative impact on our stay (one socket didn't work, the sliding bathroom door didn't close all the way, the shower head was dripping water). - On the first day, the tap water in the bathtub had a yellowish colour (but no smell), possibly indicating some piping problems.

Avance Hotel is very well located, very closed to the Danube, the city center and the big shopping Mole. The bedroom was big enough with all amenity required. The breakfast was great with a good choice of items. A la carte for eggs was also available. Coffee was excellent! Comfortable Lobby. A kids corner is also available in the restaurant.

I booked this hotel to be able to enjoy the Wellness area in case of rainy day. I miss the information on the website that you must pay extra and be aware that only 2 persons maximum can be in the area at the same time. The restaurant doesn't seem to be opened for dinner! The area behind the buffet in the restaurant should be tidy-up, looks like an open storage. (It didn't affect my stay ;)

Excellent location in the city centre. Our room was spacious and comfortable with a view to calm backyard, very clean. The hotel was full but we were never disturbed. It was last minute choice, but we were satisfied.

Not being able to switch on/ off the reading lights only for one person- they are interlinked. Breakfast was fine, i was just missing decent coffee machine

The hotel is just a corner away from the city centre, the staff were very professional and attentive, and the breakfast was rich and delicious (especially pancakes).

My room was not cleaned after the first night, and the (underground) parking is quite narrow / hard to manoeuvre.

Additionally, the view of the interior patio with its serene garden added a touch of tranquility to our overall experience. The cleanliness standards of the hotel were praiseworthy, from the communal areas to our private room. Their dedication to maintaining a clean and inviting environment played a huge role in our overall satisfaction. We found the on-site parking to be very advantageous. This secure parking added an extra layer of convenience, particularly for those journeying by car.

Cons: Noise from the bar downstairs Stained carpet While our overall experience at Hotel Avance was largely positive, there were a couple of minor issues that could be improved. We did experience some noise from the bar downstairs, which could potentially disturb guests looking for a more peaceful evening atmosphere. Additionally, we noticed that the carpet in some communal areas had some stains. While the overall cleanliness of the hotel was commendable, paying a bit more attention to the carpet's condition would further enhance the comfort and satisfaction of guests. Despite these small issues, Hotel Avance still offers a fantastic stay for anyone visiting Bratislava.

This was our second stay at this hotel and it's still great! We arrived late in the day and were met at the front desk by a lovely, welcoming lady who checked us in quick. We think she changed our room from what we originally had--not many guests were staying at the hotel before Christmas and extra pillows we requested weren't there on the bed. However, when we told her on our way to dinner she quickly fulfilled our request! The room was very large. Window opened to let in fresh air. Bed was comfortable with great pillows. The bathroom was huge with a great shower with good water pressure and hot water. Breakfast was great with lots of different items. Eggs on request. This hotel is right next to a tram stop and it's an easy walk to all the main sites. We would definitely stay here again!

Great location, lovely rooms, friendly staff. We've stayed here a few times now, and it's always be really convenient, sensibly priced, clean, and enjoyable.

Maybe a few more veggie options for breakfast.

The room was spacious, clean and in a very good condition. Hotel garage at reasonable price is an additional advantage. Generally we enjoyed our stay and will definitely consider the hotel as a place for our next stay.
