Property is perfectly situated near eateries etc but still in the wild. The decor is gorgeous and the facilities are top class. The staff is excellent and go out of their way to help you and make you feel welcome. Breakfast was amazing. We highly recommend staying here!

We loved everything. Seeing that there is no lunch or breakfast served in the property we ate out most meals but also wanted to buy some basics for lunches at the lodge. It would be nice if there was a slightly larger table area in the room to prepare simple food like sandwiches, and perhaps a microwave and cutlery and crockery, so that if you do go and buy yourself some basics from the shops you have facilities to prepare food. There is a small table with a kettle and coffee maker, and there is a fridge. So that is nice.

I recently had the pleasure of visiting Little Kubu, and I can confidently say it was one of the most memorable getaways I've ever experienced! From the moment we arrived, everything was absolutely perfect. The breakfast was simply incredible, and I truly appreciated the effort John and Annelia put into accommodating my gluten intolerance. They ensured I could enjoy every meal without worry, which made the experience even more special. The property itself is stunning! The room aesthetics are beautifully designed, offering a perfect blend of luxury and comfort. Swimming in the serene surroundings was a highlight, and the views while lounging by the pool were breathtaking. The wildlife sightings added a magical touch to the stay. We spotted kudu, warthogs, zebras, and more while exploring the area—an unforgettable experience for any nature lover! John and Annelia are the best hosts anyone could ask for. Their warmth and hospitality made my partner and me feel so welcome, and they truly went above and beyond to make our stay extraordinary. If you're looking for a serene escape with impeccable service, beautiful surroundings, and a personal touch, I can’t recommend Little Kubu enough. We'll definitely be back!

Absolutely nothing! Every single aspect of our stay was perfect, and I wouldn’t change a thing. From the warm and attentive hospitality to the incredible attention to detail in every corner of the property, everything exceeded our expectations. Whether it was the serene surroundings, the beautifully prepared meals, or the unique wildlife experiences, there wasn’t a single moment where we felt anything less than completely satisfied. Little Kubu truly offers a flawless experience, and we left with nothing but happy memories!

It was a dreamlike stay with impeccable service and a beautiful private atmosphere. Annelie and John made our stay truly special. The lodge is peacefully located, stunning, and the pool invites you to take a refreshing swim. With a bit of luck, you can spot animals in the bush directly from the terrace. Annelie and John assist with everything and are always available. Thanks to their support, we enjoyed a breathtaking sunset safari with dinner in the bush, a full-day tour in Kruger National Park, and a boat trip. We saw all of the Big 5 and many more animals. We will definitely return and are already looking forward to it!

We stayed at little Kubu Lodge for 4 nights and It was really amazing. We could not have wished for a better stay. The contact with the hosts were great, you could ask anything also via whatsapp, and they will help you. They go above and beyond. In addition, they give great recommendations what you can do nearby. The breakfast was amazing and really fresh. The housekeeping was also really great. The lodge is beautiful and you can perfectly relax her after a safari nearby. We were very happy when we left and we have a warm feeling about this lodge. We will definitely not forget our stay her and we would 100% recommend!

Everything was perfect.

We booked for 3 nights, our stay was amazing we stayed and booked an extra 2 nights. Loved everything about it. Breakfasts were amazing and they even did a packed breakfast cause we had an early day of excursions one morning. The animals coming to the watering hole every day is a treat in itself. Rooms cleaned every day and the outdoor showers are special. We will be back!

Nothing to not like about it. It was great! Serving dinners as an option would make it outstanding. Didn't want to have to leave to eat out in town. :)

Annalie & John were the most amazing and kind hosts. They do all the effort and pay special attention to make you feel like home - be it a recommendation for activities (tailored to what you already saw and did) or the extra slice of French toast in the morning because they remember that you ordered an extra one the day before). The hospitality was truly outstanding and the lodge itself is a peaceful and very comfortable place. 10/10 for this accommodation and the hosts

Great hosts: Thanks John and Annaline for a super stay! Really appreciate your help in getting us a last minute dinner reservation!! Will definitely be back on the next visit to Hoedspruit. Facilities were top notch, breakfast was fantastic. Dinner and lunch you can easily eat in town. We did the sunset game drive which I would highly recommend. The pool area is the perfect place to relax. Location was perfect too.

The place has been amazing. It’s located in the wildlife estate and you will be able to see so many animals and even walk next to zebras and giraffes. But also the lodge itself is one of a kind, beautifully designed and decorated with a lot of information about the surrounding area. The hosts were also really really helpful and kind. I wish we stayed longer and we will definitely come back.

Definitely the best lodge in Hoedspruit. Excellent location in a small reserve with all kinds of wildlife (zebras, giraffes etc). You can walk and cycle in the reserve, or simply drive by car. The lodge itself is just amazing. Beautiful big rooms and the best breakfast we had during our trip in South Africa. What really made it special was the staff. The managers of the lodge are the kindest people. Thankyou again 🙏🏻
