Excellent location (hotel opens into the Zone/Mall at Rosebank and the starting point of the hop-on/hop-off stop is right in front of hotel); included breakfast offers good value and variety and tasted great (special shoutout to the included omelet station); comfortable bed and pillows; modern updated hotel finishes/décor in bedrooms and throughout the hotel; excellent customer service.

Bathroom can get quite slippery due to the design of the shower screen in bathroom. It can be tricky to get the shower head to remain in place once you’ve set it (these do not detract from the overall excellent experience at this hotel). Comment: consider putting an ice machine in the gym, where it may be accessed by guests from all floors. Overall rating: 9.5/10

The location is perfect for sightseeing because the hop-on-hop-off bus stops right outside the hotel, and also the train station (Rosebank) is across the road, for easy access to the airport. The hotel was elegant, clean and comfortable. The staff at reception were very friendly and helpful and efficient with check in and check out. Having the mall attached to the hotel was convenient, with lots of food options and shops if that’s your thing. It felt very safe there, with security outside 24/7, although the area felt very safe and friendly anyway. The breakfast is really good, with heaps of hot and cold options as well as lots of drink choices. The room was spacious, the bed was super comfy and the bathroom was large. This is a very good hotel choice in Johannesburg and I highly recommend staying here.

I am a solo female traveller and it was absolutely safe and I've enjoyed my stay. The staff was really helpful und always friendly. They have organised spontaneously a trip to Pretoria for me and it worked well. Also the hotel shuttle from the airport was organised by the hotel, and it was very good, the driver was very friendly. The breakfest was beyond my expectations. Shopping in the Rosebank Mall was also very safe, the mall is directly connected to the hotel.

The hotel is super well located: has a direct passage to a shopping mall adjacent from the back, where there are plenty options at a food court, besides from the shopping mall there are stairs coming down to a pedestrian street with excellent restaurants like Mama Samba. The breakfast is complete, the place is clean and the rooms were cozy. A very good value for money overall

Nothing to point out… Only thing would be to maybe try and offer a better hairdryer the one that is included is a bit low in potency (like 2 speeds) the rest is perfect

Breakfast: - Unfortunately, I had an early flight so I could not eat breakfast Location: I chose your establishment so that I have easy excess to the Gautrain. Thats exactly what I got. I have an early flight, and I walked to the Gautrain station, and I felt safe. On the night of my arrival, I got perfect excess to the mall. Room: - Perfect - Clean - No noise - all the facilities that I needed were to my satisfaction.

When I was checking out, I had to wait a bit for the person on the front desk as they were not there. Fortunately, I had given myself extra time for the unexpected.

Great safe location next to a mall and food/ restaurants and other services. Staff were accommodating and helpful. The City Sightseeing bus starts/stops infront of it. Great breakfast choices and room service meals. They were able to store our luggage for when we came back for another stay after our 2day safari.

Night staff not helpful --- On the night of 11/7, the night staff we talked to regarding our room AC not working said he was sending someone to fix it --- an hour later, no one came. When we called again, he said that there was an issue with maintenance and that they were fixing it. We fell asleep and woke up uncomfortable - with our AC still blowing hot air. The next morning, we told the front desk our AC issue, and they had someone in our room fixing the AC within an hour, and it was resolved right there and then. So I guess it wasn't a maintenance issue? We were just glad the morning staff were on top of everything and was able to resolve our issue quickly.

Holiday inn always set a high standard and this hotel was great. I arrived very early but they found me a room, which was kind of the staff. My room was excellent with a decent view. It is in a great location, ideal for the Gautrain from the airport and in a tourist area, surrounded by restaurants, cafes and a shopping mall.

Gym was a mini gym and there wasn’t much room. Pool was ok.

The location of this hotel was great, with a walkway to Rosebank Mall. The room and bed were comfortable and well-appointed. Breakfast (on the 2nd floor) was sumptuous, and the breakfast room had a nice view of a small garden and the swimming pool. Parking (free for hotel guests) was available in the basement.

Wifi was a bit spotty. The street-level lobby is small and could get crowded with people waiting to check in. The second-floor reception area was calmer and a better place for hotel guests to hang out.

The location is fantastic. The red bus office is right downstairs and the bus itself leaves right out the front. Train and other public transport are also immediately adjacent. Very comfortable. The staff were almost entirely extraordinarily wonderful. The manager is likely the most helpful, welcoming, kind, professional hands on manager I have ever come across in a large hotel. With so many guests to care for he still makes each one feel like he is there for them. Very rare in a big chain hotel, and greatly appreciated. The rest of the staff also were mostly amazing, from desk staff to restaurant staff, bar staff, cleaners, and everyone; all are excellent at making you feel welcome and at home. Again this is rare in a big hotel. There was just one staff member, at the desk, who was quite spectacularly, bewilderingly rude, I'd almost say aggressive. I gather I upset her somehow, I don't know how, but I gather there was some misunderstandingthat hot us off on the wrong foot , and subsequently every time I engaged with her her dislike of me was palpable which was a real pity. The rooms are very comfortable.

Only the bewildering experiences with one staff member described above. Otherwise everything was awesome.

The room had some debris that were left after the room renovation. Apart from that, the room was clean

My wife and I ordered scrambled eggs. The intern that prepared food in the kitchen put so little filling in the eggs that we felt like we should have ordered normal eggs. We were disappointed. The guys that cleared used plates and utensils did not clear in time. We had to call them to clear our table. The coffee machine was not working properly to make cappuccino. We had to ask one gentleman to prepare it for us using the machine from the bar section.
