Forest Hall is a wonderful place to stay. It is conveniently located in Walmer which is central to so many places. It is safe and secure and our hosts are extremely helpful and friendly as are the staff. The garden is large and spacious and so restful to sit in with a cup of coffee or a glass of wine. There are two pools which are perfect for a quick dip on a hot day. Breakfast is very tasty and all in all it is a home from home. Special mention to Cyril the grey cat who is the absolute friendliest cat I've ever met!

Exceptional location, very quiet and calming - a good escape from Gauteng. Beautiful gardens in spite of the inhospitable weather. I liked the room layout and very spacious for a solo traveller. Ample parking and a 24/7 management presence made one feel secure.

Breakfast felt like boarding school and both occasions I had to help myself to the "cold" section as no one appeared to be serving from the kitchen although the staff were very busy preparing food. The "free"wifi was spotty, depending where in your room you were.

Perfect location; neat and clean area, close to airport and also close to a shopping complex having good eateries, and away from the crowded boardwalk area. Spacious clean rooms. Good tennis court. Absolutely perfect hosts who went out of way to make us comfortable, give packed breakfast in the wee hours and got us a cab too. Highly recommended, we would indeed be staying here only, when we visit next.

Absolutely lovely place to rest up. Loved the grounds and the rooms we were in. Large spacious rooms with very comfy beds and good quality linen. They went above and beyond to help us out with a situation we had, which was very kind of them to do. Friendly, warm and welcoming. Highly recommended

Forest Hall is perfectly located between beach, suburbs and main roads. The rooms were a sanctuary with amazing beds, linen and space. Having air conditioning in the summer heat was a plus

Although I was there because of work, I found the guest house relaxing and comfortable. Each morning a satisfying breakfast was prepared and served by friendly staff. I will definitely stay at the guest house again.

amazing area for kids to play

mosaic swimming pool has very sharp tiles that need attention to, kids got hurt a few times. no chairs to sit under trees, only couch there was dirty. Room was a bit dusty and had even chocolate wrapping paper under one of the beds. one of the curtains was broken, just felt like property hasn’t been closely attended to.

This is an amazing property with an old mansion with a large garden with a pool. Very quiet area. The rooms were very comfortable. The host were really helpful. Breakfast was really good.

not much to say here. You need to have a car to move around in that area.
