Beautiful grounds, pool area and spa! You can really relax and enjoy. We loved it! Nice you get to try the wines there and the rooms are nice and large. Huge bed which was great. Mini bar was topped up every day and we got to try a lot of their wines! Waiters and waitresses were lovely.

Staff at reception were not friendly at all in comparison to everywhere else we have stayed in SA. Not a can do attitude but more doing bare minimum. If they were nicer it would have been rated even higher but they let us down for 5 star. They were unhelpful and really didn’t feel happy to be there. Also the bedrooms are paper thin walls so you can hear every conversation in the room next to you. This is very annoying and nothing you can do about it.

Amazing service people attitide. I have not received so overall information from the room what I received veru friendly staff member @ Lanzerac. Spa was amazing and they do have real sauna there at the spa. Only one comment about the sauna, that you should have Finnish sauna stove and not Swedish because Finnish sauna companies makes the world wibe the best sauna stoves. But still I did really enjoyed this sauna experience in South Africa Stellenbosch. Views was amazing at the pool area to see winery fields. Restaurant top of the Wine cellar was amazing and those waitresses was amazing indeed. I really recommend Eggs Benedict there and with the eggs benedict couple wine glasses. What an amazing experience in this place. This was real sanctuary!

Absolutely beautiful hotel with stunning scenery. Staff were friendly and tentative. We made use of the private transfers to the town/restaurants (although these were charged for at the end of our stay). Breakfast was amazing, loads of choice. Spa facilities were great and super clean. Our room was HUGE and so quiet and comfortable. The deli and farm shop is also lovely. The Lanzerac chardonnay is also delicious!!

Spa treatments were completely booked up during our stay, would've been nice to have had prior warning as to whether we wanted to book these in advance. Quite far out from Stellenbosch town centre so you'll definitely need some sort of transport (Ubers, hire care etc) if you want to get around. Had a meal at the hotel restaurant one night and the steak was quite poorly cooked

- Great breakfasts with oysters & champagne; - Good selection of snacks and drinks at the minibar, which is included; - Nice surrounding area and overall property conditions. Though it's an old mansion, it's been renovated and looks great – it has all the modern conveniences; - The reception staff was fantastic, especially Cisca.

- We weren't able to select the room we requested, even though we communicated with the staff in advance - The room we were given had some noise during the daytime, most likely from pumps located outside in the garden.

Great well decorated and featured rooms and good service throughout. Spa was also nice, amazing views all around! Conveniently located to explore the area and a lovely estate itself, nice wines too.

Dinner at the restaurant was a bit dissapointing in flavour/quality, and so was the othe brasserie restaurant. Food needs improvement. The bar, which was more a cigar lounge was not well ventilated, unbearable to stay to have a drink. No real place to enjoy a nice wine or cocktail unfortunately, which seemed like a missed opportunity.

Stunning property and location. Staff are all so friendly and welcoming. Absolutely relaxing grounds. Great breakfast. Very spacious rooms and superb amenities. Underfloor heating in bathroom works so well.

Rooms are cold and dark. No privacy in the courtyard rooms unless you close your blinds which makes it more cold and dark. The check in staff do not tell you that you can take your wine tasting at any time and not just at 11 & 3 which are the tour times. Another couple next to us had the same complaint. The spa is expensive and honestly the massage was great but I don't feel there was anything super special about the experience to warrant that type of price. You go for the massage, change and leave when you're done.

If you want to stay in paradise. it is a luxury hotel, the rooms are very well decorated, first-rate service, excellent quality products, as well as wonderful wines. It is impeccable. I have nothing to say against this hotel, everything was perfect. We chose to stay at the hotel for the second time and enjoyed the visit to the winery, wine tasting and dinner with wonderful meat at the Taphuis restaurant. The breakfast is excellent with a welcome sparkling wine and also first-class service with very attentive people and delicious dishes.

A beautiful establishment with all the facilities one would expect of a 5-star hotel. The room was spacious and extremely well-equiped - the mini-bar superb. Beautiful grounds and friendly staff all-round.

It would've been a perfect (10's all round) stay if only the person that checked me in was able to address me in my first language - instead I was told upfront that they will proceed in English becuase they feel more comfortable in that language. It would have been great if that person called upon a collegaue to serve me in my preferred language, becuase staff were nearby that would've been able to do just that.

Exceptional service and fantastic customer service throughout. We loved our stay - room and bathroom were gorgeous, patio to relax in and breakfast was superb. Food / wine tasting also very good - we enjoyed the cellar tour. We enjoyed the spa and pool area too. Staff super friendly. Definitely recommend for a taste of luxury whilst in Stellenbosch (shuttle service also handy!) and look out for the owls! X

The property is wonderful and totally relaxing. It was a little disappointing when we arrived with bags etc and the guy in the entrance lobby just got in the way. Could have at least opened the door. Wasn’t sure he actually worked there but he was there again the next day. Didn’t receive our welcome drink either most likely as we were early and then in a rush to the spa… but it’s the little things. The shuttle service to town was excellent the driver was excellent. Super friendly with a lovely smile! Our evening waiter was also excellent and remembered us in the morning, very sweet as my friend was not able to make breakfast as she was not well and he was most concerned. So all in all it was wonderful just a small blip at the beginning 😀
