I like everything! A very seemless and quick self check in. The host also contacted me a few hours before check in time to brief on how to check in etc. It makes me less worry. Checkout also easy. Host can speak english and js very polite. The room we booked is clean, toilet has auto bidet and auto flush. Bathing gel and shampoo provided and smells good, the shampoo makes my hair very soft. Small towels provided but if you need more can get it from the laundry room. Kettle provided if you need ramyeon middle of the night haha. Overall, its a very comfortable stay and i'll for sure rebook in future for a few days more!

I stayed at GaEunChae for one night, and the experience felt magical. Sleeping on a futon in a traditional hanok in the heart of a historic village was authentic and memorable. The host provided clear directions for arrival, and the underfloor heating kept the room cozy. Basic amenities, like towels (more available in the common room), shampoo, and shower gel, were provided, and there was hot water in the shower. The self-check-in process was smooth and flexible, with access details sent via WhatsApp, and my name was written on a whiteboard outside my assigned hanok - a thoughtful touch. While no breakfast is included, there are plenty of nearby options with beautiful views, and a convenience store is just at the end of the alley. I also appreciated the flexibility to store my luggage in the common room after check-out.
While the stay was overall pleasant, a few things could be improved. The towels provided were rather small, so more than one is needed. The room itself was small, with no cabinet space and just two hangers, which may be part of the authentic hanok experience but could be inconvenient for some guests. A kettle was provided, but having tea or coffee in the room would have been a nice addition. Additionally, the hanok is not soundproof, so you may hear sounds from neighbouring rooms - something to consider if you’re looking for complete quiet.

This was a fun experience staying in a more traditional Korean accommodation. The room is small, but you know that when you book so it's all part of the experience. It's in a great location in the jeonju hanok village and very quiet. I liked sleeping on the floor and setting up the bedding each day. The shampoo and conditioner in the bathroom are so nice that we bought some from Olive Young to take home with us. It was surprisingly quiet.
The temperature in the loft area was quite different to below, so difficult to keep the aircon temperature suitable for everyone. I found the bedding quite comfortable, but my family wished it had more padding.

It is one of the best experiences you could have in Jeonju. The hanok itself is very pretty and authentic. I love a concept of the floor bed (my back feels really good after, but my bf said it’s a subjective point haha). The room was nice for two people with a small carry on luggage. You could get some extra things (like a tea table or bigger towels) per request. Owner provides a lot of useful information about the city, restaurants around etc. Check-in system is quite convenient as well. I definitely recommend if you are looking for a pleasant experience and nice price/quality ratio stay in a hanok village.

Great location in the middle of the hanok village. Host was also very approachable and friendly with all the queries (eg asking for restaurant recommendations). Place was no frills but clean and comfortable. You could access additional towels as needed, even though only small towels were available, so that was no issue. Room came with a mini fridge, hair dryer, mini mirror so you can do your makeup even if the toilet is in use, kettle, insect spray. Private toilet. Water pressure was good, water was warm. Found two bottles of water at our doorstep the next day which we appreciated.
One night the water fluctuated between warm and slightly cool, so I’m not sure if it’s because different rooms were showering at the same time.

Was beautiful to stay in a hanok accommodation, very safe and close to everything around the village.
It took me a while to realise that there was not desk front, on arrival you need to call the hotel manager to give you access to your room. So it’s a must to have credit to call and a korean number. It was hard to get my luggage to the room because the doors and floor with little stones. There are some shoes you can use inside the room but both were very dirty.

The staff was very helpful. They contacted me via different apps and by booking as well providing information to arrive to the property and for the checking. They also helped me with restaurant recommendations. I could leave my suitcases there the day I checked out while visiting the city. Also, the location was great. It was a great experience for my first time staying in a hanok, a traditional korean house, and sleeping in a traditional futon.
Everything went as expected.

It was a good one-time experience to stay in a Gaok. The room was well equipped with most things - even toothpaste. It was very quiet and peaceful. I wouldn't say it was a good value for money in terms of comfort and space but it was for the expereince.
Apart from the room being quite small and compack, Jeonju itself didn't give us a good impression - it was not as touristy as expected/advertised, there weren't many festivals or activities going on, very few people were there and I felt like it wasn't a great touristy place for foreigners (although I am a Korean living abroad).

Great stay in a traditional hanok in the hanok village. The room was charming and the bathroom was comfortable. The location was wonderful- off of a small alleyway in the traditional area. The room did include a mini-fridge and a tea maker although no table, nightstand or other furniture (traditional). The floor was heated so the space was quite comfy even as the night chilled down. The host was fabulous and super-helpful, called us a taxi for our departure and checked in on us to make sure everything was ok. Highly recommend.
We understand that sleeping on futons is a traditional thing, but we did crave a chair. There is a shortage of electrical outlets as well, but manageable.

The hanok is very accessible via bus to different parts of the city, as well as to Geumsansa temple in Mt Moak. The host speaks English, is very welcoming and extremely helpful, reaching out via What's App even before arrival. He made the hanok comfortable for international visitors, and gave good recommendations on places to eat and do. The hanok was comfortable with floor heating, and an electric blanket for the loft. The toilet cum shower was spacious. It was an awesome experience living in a hanok in a hanok village. It's like being transported back in time. For 5 nights, we were neighbours to the last imperial grandson of the Joseon dynasty, whose residence was at the other end of the same alley. The gentleman is 80+ years old.
The hanok was a bit tight for 3 adults with 3 suitcases. But with some organisation, we managed.
