Rooms were very clean and nicely decorated. The layout was very practical. We were very pleased with the shower and toothbrush/soaps. The restaurant was amazing and the breakfast was also very good. Staff were very helpful and welcoming. The hotel was very convenient, very close to the beach and has 24hr reception. Heating/air con in the room worked well.

You can hear people moving around the hotel as the walls are very thin. We used ear plugs and managed to sleep ok. There’s no tea or coffee kettle in the room which was a bit of an inconvenience. A kettle and two cups would have made the rooms feel much more relaxing.

wonderful hotel with friendly staff. I got first a room with pipes that made some noise but they let me change my room immediately. very kind cleaning ladys and breakfast was great for a good value. You can order whatever you like from the comfort of your table, and they will bring you your freshly made omelet, tostada, croissants. Together with what you like, avocado, cheese or ham etc. any coffee or tea. Everything for only 12 euros. the view from the hotel is great and you can get even better view from on top of the mountain with a cross, which is just infront of the hotel. I will be happy to come back next Christmas again! Thanks!

minor issue was that my pillow was a little big for me and I sleep on the side, I could've probably gotten another one from them but I didn't bother because it was not that big of a deal.

The Hotel Casablanca must have the best location in Almunecar My balcony room gives a lovely view over a small square towards the sea. I didn’t go swimming but a friend did. It’s January and she swam for over half an hour. She warns .. beware of spiny black sea urchins around the rocks of the breakwater.

I was unable to work out how to use the safes ( there were two) in my room but then I did not ask at reception … who would have put an envelope of my valuables in their own secure place. I was here in January so I had no need for a fridge in my room (302).

We did a 11 day road trip across Spain for our honeymoon, staying in 7 or 8 different places - and this hotel was our favourite. It's in a fantastic location, staff are friendly, our balcony had a lovely view over a plaza and over towards the beaches. We had breakfast in the hotel, which was very reasonable, but didn't try the evening meal unfortunately. That said, we will be back. We were a couple travelling with our 15 month old daughter, and there was a lot to do on our door step with her, such as the parrot park outside, the tuk tuk stop opposite the hotel and the beach, which was just over a stone's throw from the hotel.

Only a minor moan, but the air con didn't seem very good and was set by staff downstairs. There is street parking, but I could only find some a 20 minute walk away, as early September it was quite busy still.

Opposite the beach, minutes from shops and restaurants and mostly quiet unless you count the tropical shrieks of birds from the park opposite. The staff were really kind and friendly and the room was small but very comfortable. I was a bee to work on the terrace with a reasonable wifi connection. I really enjoyed my stay.

I had lunch there once, I didn't think the food was great quality for the price although the breakfasts were very good.

Excellent location for a weekend or a holiday in Almuñécar. The room was fine with all you need but the linen and the towels were all a bit tired and frayed. It is clean enough but there is not an overwhelming feeling that it is really clean. The breakfast is good and offers everything you need - cold and hot food. There is a lovely seating area outside. The hotel decor is really good.

Nothing that I can say that I absolutely didn't like. It is a pity that there is no tea/coffee/water facilities in the room and one can also not go downstairs to get some coffee. You can only order from the restaurant.

Staff lovely. We had lunch the first day of our stay, it was delicious. The room was comfortable, it had everything you needed including a fridge. Plenty of lighting in the room. We took a kettle, cups etc, not many hotels provide them The location is excellent, near the castle, the old town, botanical gardens, bird sanctuary and the beach.

There wasn't anything we didn't like, the only thing is that the air con doesn't have a fan but it still cooled the room.

I stayed for two weeks in January 22 and worked at my usual job from the hotel room while enjoying this lovely seaside town. This is an exceptional hotel in every way. A beautiful building; in an idyllic location; run by kindly and very professional staff and yet affordable. My room was well fitted out for a long stay with a big desk and great WiFi plus plenty of space for clothes and lovely view over papaya trees and rooftops up to the castle. Great breakfasts, lovely terrace and different places to sit and read.The restaurant is very popular especially at weekends, lovely terrace for coffees and breakfast overlooking a newly renovated Square with fountains and then the sea. Two beaches, two parks and lots of other restaurants and cafes within a five minute walk. Laundry close by.

The location is great. Very near the beach, restaurants and shops. The room is exactly what is advertised and the staff are exceptionally friendly. It is wonderful to sit out on the terrace with a coffee, drink and/or have lunch.

This is a three star hotel so it doesn’t offer the little ‘extra’s - in room tea/coffee, ironing board etc. but that was to be expected. January 2023 - There is quite a lot of building work taking place here so do ask for a room away from this - or bring ear/headphones.

Lovely friendly staff. Good sized and very tastefully decorated room, with modern bathroom en suite and (a bonus for me just recovering from knee surgery) a walk in shower! Super comfy beds. The highlight was the lovely balcony with fabulous views. The balcony had table and chairs for sitting enjoying a glass of wine in the evening sunshine overlooking the Plaza and the beach.
