I liked that it's like a resort where you have everything inside, like a small village. I was in a superior room which met my expectations

Unfortunately the external pool was closed for maintenance, the internal one was very busy especially during the weekend. I didn't like the fact that on booking is written "superior room with access spa" when the access to the spa is included as service for every room that you booh also the standard one, It's a trick for gaining more money I guess and it worked with me.

Stayed for the spa experience - which is amazing and well worth it. You need to book the 2 hour circuit (with the saunas) separately, which is essential to do if you travel here. The range of treatments is quite complicated and they seem to have a multitude of different offers on at any time. The best thing is to make sure you have the Spa circuit AND the 2 hour Sauna circuit included. Breakfast was excellent buffet.

The hotel is old with a lot of history, has some beautiful areas - but also has that 70's hotel smell. Rooms are clean but pretty average. No TV options apart from the usual (not casting or Smart TV options) We weren't given extra towels for the Spa and were told to use the ones from our room, which meant we had less towels when we got back.

Room comfortable and spa facilities excellent

No bar in the hotel. Tea and coffee in the room would be good. No English TV channels. Not even news. Food is terrible. We had hoped it had improved from a few years ago but we had to send some food back. My husband couldn't even chew his roast veal. I have eaten better school lunches. It was Immediately replaced but we won't eat dinner here again.

Beautiful mountain and river view. Big spa and a restaurant/bar with afternoon and evening activities. Staff in car park, hotel and pools were very friendly and helpful.

If you plan to stay longer after the hotel check out, bring your own towels for the pools. It was very busy, there should be a maximum capacity booking limit. Parking is 8€ per day even if you are staying at the hotels.

The property was a beautiful old hotel. There is a 5min walk to the spa. The spa is so relaxing and is situated in a picturesque setting in the mountains. The Roman ruins are amazing to see too.

The room we got was only accessible by stairs. The AC really didn’t work well and it was 45°C (113°F). It was unbearable. We thought that leaving the ac running while we were out of the room would help, but it didn’t. Heat rises!! There was also a bad cat urine smell outside our room. When you go to a spa you have to get your hair wet. There’s no conditioner for your hair available unless you want to purchase a large bottle in the gift shop. Kind of crazy when you’re paying for a room.

Beautiful decoration. Very clean. Great breakfast. Large room and bathroom.

Very slow check in and check out. The two members of staff on reception were working on room allocation together whilst guests were waiting at the desk. The task did not require both of them to be involved. We almost felt as if we were interrupting by wanting to check out.

Room was big and spacious but didn't have any coffee making facilities. Pool areas were very nice and larger than I expected.

The food in the restaurant for dinner was terrible. Very limited choices and brought to the table within 2 minutes so obviously not cooked fresh. Breakfast was better.

Lovely restaurant. Everything you’d want from a breakfast. I would recommend the scrambled eggs & smoked salmon

Shame about the evening in the restaurant it was quiet. It could do with a super menu to attract more people

This is a Spanish thermal spa resort in a lovely location by the Rio Segura. Don’t expect ‘a US /global’ luxury experience. This is a long way from the tourist areas and so do not expect staff to speak English etc. The Termas hotel is a gorgeous building (and is the best choice) - make sure that you go to floor -2 to see the old spa which dates from Roman times (still working) and the Arabic Dome on floor 1. Rooms are comfortable with fridge, air etc (no tea/coffee). There are 3 hotels, 2 bars and 2 restaurants on site. There are also bus loads of day trippers. The draw are the thermal pools which have been used continuously since Roman times. Free entry for guests to the massive indoor/outdoor complex which is enormously good fun whilst relaxing. Swim caps and flip flops are required and can be bought at pool reception. There is a ‘thermal circuit’ at extra cost which includes 15 saunas and pools. Numbers are limited and slots are for 2 hours. ‘Treatment’ and massage available.

It is a lot to take in on arrival and it is all quite ‘foreign’. Pool/spa staff act as guardians rather than facilitators. (‘Charming, local colour…?’!)

The hotel was super clean, the lady and the gentleman at the reception, when we checked in on the 7/2/24 were professional and very pleasant. The room was comfortable with a lots of charm. The Restaurant del Agua, where we dined, was fabulous, delicious food, great service.
