My husband and I had the most wonderful stay. The room was very spacious, the bed was extremely comfortable, the roof terrace was perfect and all the facilities were at an incredibly high standard. The owners were exceedingly friendly, nothing was too much trouble for them. Breakfast was provided and served to a very high standard. And the complimentary drinks on the roof terrace were an unexpected treat! We will definitely return!

Had the best time staying at Kico. The hosts couldn’t have been more helpful. I had lots of questions before I arrived as I like to have everything planned in advance and they we’re very helpful with restaurant recommendations and booking. They arranged transport from the airport and also arranged for cycle hire for me. The house is beautifully decorated and absolutely immaculately clean. My bed was huge and very comfy. Had the best nights sleep there. The bathroom was large with a really powerful shower and soft fluffy towels. They were very accommodating re breakfast and asked what time I would like it. The selection was vast. Freshly brewed coffee, tea, juices etc. cereals, fruit, cold meats, cheese, eggs, pastries toast etc. The house itself couldn’t be in a better location. It’s a min walk from the main square where there’s a choice of restaurants and it’s great to sit with a coffee and people watch. Although it’s so close it’s so quiet and had doubled glazed windows. Great views of the sunset from the terrace also, nice to have a drink up there before heading out. ( there’s an honesty bar) Cómpeta itself is a charming traditional Spanish working village. Lots little shops and a plethora of eateries. Can spend hours getting lost in the little picturesque streets. There are also lots of hiking and cycle trails there.

Beautiful newly renovated town house, well located in the centre of Competa on a quiet side street. Great facilities in room, selection of tea and coffee, modern bathroom with excellent shower and extremely comfy bed. Spotlessly clean throughout. Hosts Tracey and Dave were warm, friendly and welcoming. Great communication and always available with helpful advice and suggestions. Lovely breakfast, fresh eggs cooked to order and perfection. We would not hesitate to return or recommend.

Nothing at all.

We were told that the parking was close by and it only took 2 minutes to the front door. We were met by the hosts David and Tracy and they couldn't have been more helpful. Took us up to the roof terrace and given a most welcomed cold drink whilst taking in the stunning views. We always judge by "value for money" and we just had to give this B+B top marks. Fantastic spacious airconditioned room with stunning en-suite. Tea, coffee and even chocolate biscuits. At breakfast we were given a wide choice both hot and cold - all of which was excellent. We have stayed in many but this was without doubt the best Value for money to date. We will be back!

Kicos was in a brilliant location - close to the centre of Competa square near to the restaurants, bars and shops. The Tapas in Pacos was amazing! Our hosts at Kicos David and Tracey were lovely. Our room was very nicely decorated and spotlessly clean. Breakfast was very nice - nothing was too much trouble. Would definately recommend this place!

There wasn't anything we didn't like.

First up, the hosts get 10/10 for the way they treat their guests; nothing is too much trouble. We booked an inside room with a private bathroom, and that is exactly what we got, but with a twist as far as the bathroom goes. The bedroom, being inside, had no natural light, but it was a well-lit room that was both clean and comfortable. The kettle with tea and coffee provided was a nice touch as was the efficient aircon in the room. The private bathroom was as good as you will find in any four-star hotel; in fact it was exceptional, BUT it is not ensuite. Anyone booking the inside room should know that to get to the bathroom allocated to the room, you have to go out into the hall and up four steps. The breakfast offered was continental, and there was a good choice, including fruit and cold cuts. The three-night stay in the town was great value, and of course, we knew the town was up in the mountains, which made the trip even more special. Located near the square we had plenty of choice as far as restaurants go.

After getting over the surprise that "private bathroom" did not mean ensuite, we adapted. It turns out that listings on booking.com are either private bathrooms or shared bathrooms. As the bathroom we had was not shared by anyone else (there are rooms with ensuite available), it qualifies as a private bathroom. It's not ideal if you need to use the bathroom at night, but it did not spoil our stay in such a great value B & B with such nice hosts.

Lovely modern decor. Very warm and welcoming. Extremely clean. Comfortable bed and nice modern bathroom. The accommodation had everything you needed to make it a comfortable stay. Very convenient and quiet location near the main square in the village. Reasonable choice of breakfasts. Hosts extremely welcoming and helpful. Would certainly return.

Nothing to dislike.

Oam not the type of person who would normally post a review (good or bad). However We recently had the pleasure of staying with Dave and Tracy for a night and we can tell you, there's nowhere else we'd rather stay. What a beautiful modernization job they've done to the house! The rooms are perfectly equipped complete with tea coffee water and locally sourced Spanish treats and the smell of clean linen is very welcoming as we walked into the spotlessly clean spacious double room. Dave, an excellent singer and showman (ask if he's got any shows on when you book, you won't regret it!) Offered to make us dinner as we arrived stressed and hungry and in no time, presented us with a Thai feast that wouldn't be out of place in any restaurant. Tracy then opened a bottle of wine that we shared with us on their terrace. What a view to sit and drink a glass of wine! All said, these lovely people are super hosts who could not do enough for us. making us feel comfortable and relaxed, they left us alone when needed and kept us company through the evening. the room had heating and aircon which was easy to use. our ensuite bathroom had fresh fluffy towel and towel warmer which was a nice touch. Normally the water pressure in Spain can be weak, but here I had an amazing refreshing power shower with adjustable shower head and the large waterfall shower head was a real luxury in this area of ​​Spain and it was easy to adjust the water temperatures. we had an exceptional sleep and awoke refreshed. we went to the kitchen where we were offered all types of breakfast items and hot drinks where provided. Along with a wealth of information about the local area and things to see and do.We arrived as guests but left with new friends. We highly recommend you book here if your staying in the area, you won't regret it!
