A beautiful building, obviously renovated with care and attention to the original features. We loved the roof terrace, so nice to take a glass of wine up there and relax! It's in the perfect central location, the street is busy with locals in the day but lovely and quiet at night, bars and restaurants are a couple of minutes walk away. The cleanest apartment we have ever stayed in, absolutely spotless! Spacious, modern and finished to a good standard, a wonderful home for our time on holiday. The gentleman at reception was so helpful and gave us some great recommendations.

There are a couple of apartments that have the large windows and high ceilings shown in photos but some onle have windows facing the courtyard and lower ceilings, we found the apartment lacked a little in natural light. No non-stick frying pans, cleaning them was hard work and could of done with a larger one as there is no grill or oven. An iron and board would make a welcome addition too.

Perfect central location and nice good size apartment with all the facilities, including the roof top area to dry your clothes (very useful for me as I ran out of clothes for the children and had to do washing every day).

There was a green light inside the living room above the door (I think it was an emergency light or something similar) and the living room was not completely dark at night, so it was a bit difficult to make the children sleep. I appreciate that some people don’t mind about this and I managed, but it was a bit annoying for us at night. Other than this, the rest was perfect. A pity that this place doesn’t have a pool but I knew that when I booked it.

This is a stunning restoration job, in particular the facade is lovely. Next door is a great restaurant where we had breakfast every day and just beyond that, the market with a variety of choices. The check in was great, and the young man was very informative and enthusiastic about the things to see and do. Beds were very comfortable and the maid service an unexpected bonus. We mostly used Puerto as a base to visit Cadiz and we had a great stay.

Our ground floor room was quite dark, and next to the lift, so noisy at times. I understand this is a feature of patio style buildings and our room was the cheapest option so no cause for complaint.

The hotel is in the centre of the old part of town, surrounded by bars and restaurants, and just a few minutes walk to the ferry to Cadiz. It is exceptionally clean, with everything necessary provided. It also has a rooftop terrace, with a few sunbeds etc for relaxing. A very pleasant place to stay.

Nothing really

It is truly a fantastic place to stay in the lovely town. With the market next door and cafes right beneath - an excellent combination. El Puerto de Santa Maria is a wonderful town full of fantastic "palacios" from 17- 18th century. For this hotel I recommend to make sure that you stay in the room that has windows facing the street and not the internal patio, it is really worth paying a bit extra.

great Location - friendly service at the moment some rooms are getting renovated to a more modern look which is really a nice thing.

my room was old-fashioned from the interior, also the coloring but had everything what’s needed. I think it is necessary to bring the rooms to a modern look which I am looking forward to to see when I am there next time

Apartment was updated and comfortable. Location was central and parking lot nearby was reasonably priced.

A/C was in hallway (not in bedroom) with a bright green light so sleeping was a little difficult as you had to keep the door open for the a/c, but the light light up the room.

Beautiful old restored palace in the heart of El Puerto, right next to the old market and some character-full bars! Friendly and very helpful staff. Secure parking literally round the corner, about €7 a day.

Spacious apartments, though not palatial! Kitchens could do with more and better equipment, if you're planning on self-catering, although lots of cheap plentiful and very tasty options nearby.

Great apartment with all necessary facilities. Living room with TV and well equipped kitchenette, bedroom with comfy bed, up-to-date WC/bathroom and even a little balcony. All of that in a traditional-style building perfectly renovated (lift added), but preserving its style with internal yard and some greenery. Extraordinary quality/price ratio.

The breakfast was served in the bar 100 metres away... but was it actually a disadvantage? Very good breakfast in a nice place, good coffee.

Wonderful location right in the center of town and all the action. Old palace hotel.

Many of the rooms were dark on the inside with small windows and light entrance. Had some trouble with the a/c working in bedroom area.
