Great hotel for the price, nice room not small but not big either, just the right size for me, nice bathroom with bathtub, the bed was comfortable enough, also friendly staff ready to help you with information, they all speak pretty good english. The location is close to the airport, cheapest way is to take metro one stop from airport to Barajas (for I think 2 euro if you dont already have metro card it will charge you 5 euro extra i think for the card and it works for 10 years so save it if your coming back so you don't have to buy a new), the hotel is very close from Barajas station, write the address on Google Maps and it will show you direction, other then that its close to a grocery store, and a kiosk open untill very late, McDonalds, Burger King, Domino's are all in walking distance. There is restaurants and café also bars in the area. BTW Madrid has a great metro system very easy to get around the whole city. I also learned later that cabify is good app to use in Madrid instead of normal taxi, it's very easy to navigate the app and there is always a driver near you (3-5min) and it's cheaper then normal taxi and better service from the drivers.

The room isolation was thin, so you could hear noises from the hall and from the other rooms, but I have been to alot hotels everywhere in the world and that is pretty normal. I always expect that but some places they have great isolation but mostly alot have this issue. So not really a big deal for me I'm used to it, but maybe it will for others.

The hotel informed that they didn't have a shuttle to the airport anymore. I went via subway because they told me it was close to the station, but it was not, so I arrived exhausted carrying my luggage through the street. Besides, that day there were some public works on the street close to the hotel and that made my way more difficult. Once in the hotel, they took care of me with all kinds of attention. They gave me a refreshment and made sure I was OK before we went to the room. The room was great: clean, comfortable, well decorated and quiet. I rested like a baby. The next day I was ready for my early flight abroad.

Information. They told me the hotel was next to the subway station and it was not. You have to walk about 15 minutes if you are carrying your luggage, and in my case it was summer and very hot. So to reach the hotel was an adventure.

From check-in to departure, very friendly staff, including housekeeping folks! We were able to leave our dripping ponchos at FrontDesk to dry a little before taking to our room. They had an umbrella to lend also! Very clean premises. The walk to Metro was fine, except when pouring rain in the afternoon! Nice neighborhood with variety of retaurants, even a nearby park and church. And, of course, the easy access to the airport, which is why we chose the location. Restaurant in building and breakfast option were nice to have. I liked being able to open a window

I even liked the seating area setups in the stairwell. I can't think of anything I disliked.

We booked a quadruple room for family stay and the room was huge compared to other family rooms we have stayed in, also spotlessly clean. Staff were friendly and helpful. Hotel is close to airport, and many restaurants and bars are down the street. We had dinner at the restaurant which was delicious- portion sizes huge!

Our family hire car did not fit in the parking garage. I had been in contact with property prior for height restrictions which the hotel confirmed we would be fine . However at check-in, staff were adamant our car would not be able to due to the narrow width. Given directions to free open parking down the street, but didn't want to leave hire car overnight. Breakfast was disappointing with blackened pineapple, watery scrambled eggs and uncooked bacon.

The Beds and Pillows! They are truly among the BEST I've had on this journey. So great to offer guests the chance to choose the type of pillow also. Such kind and friendly service from the blonde female staffer at the front desk and the lady who looks after the breakfast bookings. Breakfast was so diverse too - plenty of good options and the best orange juice I've tried in Spain! Be sure to check out the finely decorated Instagram space in the breakfast area...

Bathtub drain seems to be clogged badly - filling up while using the shower. Otherwise it's a really lovely renovated as-new bathroom! Some noise from other rooms and garbage bins below - no soundproofing. Can hear phone conversations clearly - so maybe keep your calls to the street or somewhere private :)

Close to airport for overnight stay. Reasonable room and food etc available close to hotel.

No transfer still due to covid, so had to pay expensive surcharge for one stop on metro and then walk to hotel..

The hotel is better than most 4 stars in the city center (plus the value for the money is unbeatable). Obviously you are outside of Madrid in the airport area but it has a little “Main Street” vibe with lots of restaurants and stores. The lobby is very modern and well decorated. The rooms have good clean furniture

It happens even in more expensive hotels so it’s hard to blame this one but the walls are paper thin. It’s very quiet overall but if you have a noisy neighbor in the room next to you you will hear their loudest noises in your space.

The woman at the desk at check-in was delightful and made me so happy by checking to see if a room was available for early check-in, and yes it was!! The room was clean and the beds were comfy. Breakfast was very good. Distance to the airport was a matter of minutes. I was glad that they had affordable ($8.50) underground parking because we could not find a space on the street. Though I will say it was the tightest turns I have ever seen in parking garage. We had a mid sized vehicle and almost didn't fit going around one corner. We had some time to kill, but didn't want to drive into Madrid. So we were super happy to be able to walk from the hotel to terminal 1 at the airport to hop on the metro to get into downtown Madrid! This walk was about 1/2 a mile through a few parking lots- just google earth it- and then follow the neighborhood people also going to the metro! We had a great time in downtown Madrid at Retiro Park.

No big deal, but they list this as a 4 star hotel... I think 2.5 to 3 stars might be more like it. The lobby was nice, but the hallways were a bit shabby and the room size was small.

March 2023

It was walking distance from the metro.

We were told that the airport was 5 minutes away & that Uber or Cabify would charge 6 to 8€ approximately. I tried to reserve an Uber for 5:30am the next day, but the app said reserving for that area was not available. I was unsure if we could get an Uber on short notice in the early morning, so I booked a taxi through the hotel. We were charged a flat fee of 20€. There was a meter for the taxi, but it was not turned on. This explains why taxi was not suggested by the hotel. A rip off.

I thought the breakfast was good I would have liked better cheese and jamon options

I arrived after lunch time everything was closed and I had travelled from Bordeaux- so I hadn’t eaten when I asked the staff they pointed me down the street but everything was closed - I finally went the other way and found a charming place Xafe General that serves food all day! It would be nice if the staff was a little more informed of these things to accommodate guests it was really hot and I ended walking 4 blocks in the wrong direction and everything was closed☹️
