The location was good, close to the airport with a bus stop near by. You can even walk (if necessary) to/from T3 with hand luggage only. There is a Dia supermarket and a number of cafes a couple of minutes away. The room was enormous by UK standards and very clean. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful.

Given that there was no breakfast provided, having some coffee/tea making facilities in the room would have been good. The blackout curtains did not cover the whole window, not a problem in December, but could be in spring/summer. The furniture is a bit dated, but this is reflected in the price.

Our stay at Hotel Don Luis was wonderful! It is an extremely reasonably priced hotel which is very close to Barajas Airport. It is within walking distance of a very nice, small plaza with little restaurants where a person can grab a bite to eat in the morning, afternoon, or evening. We took the bus number 101 at the bus stop, which is located in the town plaza, directly to the airport. It cost 1,50 euros a person and, in about 15 minutes, we arrived at terminal one. Sergio, who was working at the front desk when we arrived for check-in, was great!! He gave us a good recommendation for a restaurant, along with the lay of the land. Sergio informed us the front desk is staffed 24 hours. Our room was very basic, no frills, but it was super squeaky clean, as was the hotel. If you are looking for basic lodging, close to Barajas Airport, I highly recommend this place. If you want a fancy place with many amenities, you should look elsewhere.

I prefer a mattress that's a bit firmer, but, it wasn't bad.

The check-in clerk was extremely helpful. The hotel overall is nice, in a quiet neighborhood, with several dinning establishments in walking distance, and several shops, including a very large grocery store.

The A/C is kinda of loud, there are very few amenities (no iron, but I didn't ask if I could borrow one) no coffee maker in the room, and I think the "Bar/Restaurant has been closed for a while. The biggest revelation was that the neighborhood closes in the afternoon ( not sure what time, it's a Spanish thing) and may or may not open later. The nearby restaurants seem to be closed from 1800-2000, so plan accordingly. On that note, the drinking part of those establishments remained open.

It was great to be welcomed with a warm friendly smile (even though it was 2:00 am or so); we got a clean, comfortable and spacious room and the girl (working night shift) was very accommodating and helpful. [We saw a couple reviews complaining about a bad smell, but apparently the problem was already taken care of (and may have been just a one time thing), as we did look out for it and it did not smell anything bad (as of April 9th 2024).] We had a great experience!

If there would have been a shuttle, that would have worked out better for us, as we were 7 passengers with lots of luggage. Otherwise there were plenty of taxis available right outside the airport (in our case even 2 taxis didn't want to take us because we had 3 children who needed car seats...).

Hotel location is particularly good close to the airport is particularly convenient, from the airport exit taxi to the hotel less than 5 minutes, the room is particularly large, the front desk sister service is particularly good, forgot to bring the charger that day she also helped me find a plug to lend me.

There are more ashes on the bedside table, and then there are small black ants on the floor, and I think the pillow is a little too low.

Located at just one metro stop from both, the T1-T2-T3 or the T4 terminals from Barajas airport. Rooms are as shown in the pics and very clean. Staff are very welcoming and helpful with any question.

The location is in a street a little bit separated from the main streets of town, but safe. The temperature of the rooms is a little hot even fir fall/winter times, although you have the option of turning on the AC though

Proximity to the airport. A 7 minute walk to the Metro which is one stop from the Airport. The evening check in staff was very friendly, welcoming and helpful. The twin beds were clean & comfortable, the bathroom also. One minute walk to a charming local square with plentiful reasonably priced bars with food. Fine for one night.

The room decor and soft furnishings are long overdue an update, the ‘nicotine brown’ on the walls is not attractive. There was a pervasive smell in the room that did not disappear despite the windows for many hours.

I liked the location's proximity to the airport, public transportation, grocery stores and cafés. The room was nice and spaceous, and I liked the calm vibe of the hotel, as well as the aesthetics and profile of the hotel. The wifi was good and allowed me to work from the hotel.

The cleanliness of the room upon arrival could have been improved. There were crumbs on the floor near the desk and the bin, as well as single strands of hair on the bed cover. Other than the details on the floor and bed, it was clean.

Conveniently located at only a 10-minute bus ride from the airport, this hotel was a good solution for a short stay in Madrid. I was surprised at the generous size of the room and the bed was very comfortable. It's easy to get to the city center with the subway, which is a 7-minute walk away, and there's also plenty of neighbourhood bars, shops and a pharmacy nearby.

Tiny bathroom and the shower could be better.

The hotel has a very nice ambience. The 'real' furniture, wooden chairs, desk, etc, were beautiful and made me feel like I was at home and not in some glitzy airport hotel. The room was quiet which was important because we had to leave early to catch a flight. Unlike many so-called airport hotels, it was in a real neighbourhood with a number of restaurants in the plaza just round the corner. The shower was very good with excellent towels.

It was entirely satisfactory.
