The location in great, just shortly outside the main city centre, for that reason the area is not overcrowded of tourists, it is between two hills and for people who likes to have a contact with nature, it is nice to walk up at the surrounding hills, the bonus is a fantastic view over Malaga. The house has a nice stile and decorated with taste and care. Short walk from Villa Alicia to plaza de la Merced.

It would be a plus if the place would have a common space with couch, a place to seat, read a book or play games, rather than seat in our own room. Of course may be in spring and summer is not need it, but we were there in January and the weather was colder and sometime rainy. The Wifi was very unstable. On the other hand the place is really beautiful, it was so relaxing to seat at the outside patio and enjoy all the nice plants and flowers.

Well where can i start! This place was magical; far enough out of the old town to avoid the drone of the traffic but close enough to walk down in 5 to 10 minutes: The perfect location. As for the property it is beautiful; very well kept and with a real Spanish character. The outdoor sun terrace is lovely if you just want to sit and watch the world go by: The perfect building. As for the bedroom, WOW this blew me away, definitely the nicest room I have stayed in due to the incredible balcony, absolute luxury and with views to die for! The air con and very quiet ceiling fan were also a welcome bonus! The shower and bedroom area were well presented and immaculate: The perfect bedroom. All in all it was a privilege to stay in the Villa Alicia and the price was extremely reasonable for the quality of the residence: The perfect guest house!

I booked Villa Alicia for my parents and they really enjoyed their stay there. The guest house is in a very good location, close to Picasso house and museum. The guest house staff helped prebook a taxi from the airport for my parents, and then kindly helped them with their luggage - my parents are pensioners and we were concerned whether they would manage the stairs with their suitcases, so the help was very much appreciated. The room was clean and comfortable and had a beautiful view, and the breakfast was tasty and plentiful. My parents were very happy about their stay and would visit again!

Room was cleaned every day. We had our bathroom, small, but ok. Breakfast is not extra rich, but for a few days it's absolutely OK. And still there is a guest kitchen with a fridge, where you may do what you wish. This accommodation is perfect for an independent travellers. Quiet location, walking distance to center or playa (up to 30 minutes).

Just small detail (for locals normal, but for some others may be surprising). Breakfast is from 9 a.m., but when you come on time, it is being prepared, so you may start to eat at around 9:30. If you need to be somewhere on time, it may be a problém. But once we needed to go really earlier, we got a picnicking bag evening before.

This was my 4th or 5th stay in Villa Alicia Guest House and in the future I will certainly return again to this charming place which is so centrally located near the centre of Malaga in a rather quiet neighbourhood with a silly mix of beautiful villas and ugly apartment blocks. Even after all those years the interior of Villa Alicia Guest House is still surprising and very original.

Only one thing has been deteriorating over the years and that's the possibility to park a car near Villa Alicia Guest House, so you'd best drop your luggage and take your time to find a parking spot uphill, carefully respecting the no parking zones and staying aware of the narrowness of the street. A car is easily damaged.

Beautiful villa. A nice atmosphere with people who care about their guests. The area is quiet and close to the historic center. I had a bright room with a bathroom. Equipped with a kettle. There is also a fridge. Very clean. Rooms cleaned every day. Very comfortable bed. Tasty breakfasts in the form of a swedish buffet. If I come to Malaga again, I will gladly stay in this villa, where I felt at home.

Nice, clean room with private bathroom, good shower pressure (which is not so obvious in some places:-) Room had a small fridge and a kettle, coffee and tea, very useful. Lovely, quiet area, walking distance from touristic centre.

Reception opens during limited hours but that's not a big deal. The problem was with the breakfast, we ordered it only once and even though we came down an hour before the end time, there was not much left and we had to ask for more food, we felt like we got some leftovers, not sure if it was worth the price asked.

Everything was fine, the lady from the reception always willingly helped us, when we needed breakfast packages, she prepared them for us in the room. The breakfast was excellent, the accommodation cozy, the colors and comfortable, we felt at home. Classic Spanish accommodation. ;)

The only thing I would criticize is the distance from the center, which was a little further, but on the other hand, the accommodation is in a quiet part, and for those who like to walk like us, it was a great morning walk.

Excellent location on a very quiet street only 15 mins walk to all the major attractions, old town, restaurants. Beautifully designed house, a stone villa with thick stone walls= you are not disturbed by other guests. We had lovely wooden shutters, tiled floor, really peaceful. The communal kitchen and terrace area to have your own breakfast or lunch was a welcome addition, as I was travelling with my 12year old child, on a budget, so we could save some money on eating out and spend it on activities instead. Really made ourselves at home here, and would definitely recommend!

Stylish quirky house with interesting original features, eg mosaic tiled floor in first floor 'sun room'. Helpful and pleasant staff. Clear instructions for checking in. In a quiet residential street but within walking distance of city centre.
